Appreciation: I appreciate all NL family, all that stood by me, Mr Texrem, Mr John, all that message me and make comment on my denied transcript. You are to much. And most importantly. I give it all to God.

I got to the embassy around 5:30 am. Skipping to the checking point. My name was note found on the book for scheduled interview. I was asked to go sit down(20-30 minute thereabout) , for my mind, I said I am done today. Yet I fight it back in my spirit. I was later called up that my name dey system, so I was cleared to go. Got to the judgement room for screening and biometric. Submit docs for screening, then hurried to the rest room to do the usual and pray once more because I already met and seen people wey dey frown face with blue paper. For inside toilet, I dey hear my name, lagbaja come to window 14, I sit down for rest room dey do d tin dey go. Finally I came out after 5min. The whole room put eye on me, na u dem dey call since. I hurried to 14, she then ask me to bring my doc. Is this how to fill a form, na wetin she ask, she then ask me some questions I replied and she typed. I knew say na my ds160 she was referring to. I forgot biometric, I was later called out of line by the Cgi to go out of line to go do biometric. I return. Now to window 4. She's in her 30s I suppose.

Vo: good morning(smiling)
Me: morning and how was your night?
Vo: very fine and yours
Me: its very lovely
Vo: your doc please
Me: passing the documents. Here it is
Vo: why are you going to the US?
Me: (I said you are finished today for my mind, cos I don rehearse answer to this question) I am going to the US for my masters degree at Montana State University (cut in)
Vo: oh...smiling. I see .
Vo: so are u married
Me: no
Vo: any kids
Me: no
Vo : so what course u going for and who is sponsoring
Me: mathematics, full scholarship and GTA
Vo: what were u doing in Italy
Me I answered
Vo: also in Bulgaria
Me: I answered.
Vo: what's the derivative of acceleration?
Me: (for my mind, I was like is she playing with me) I pause for a minute, look at her in the eye, smile, she smile back, then gave her the answer. She then smiled the more and brought out white paper, and start saying all their grammar after three working days so so and so. No question about my first denial a week ago.



God settled my case. My case is different. It can only be God. Thank you all

You can go for your interview any day/anytime as long as you've worked on your flaws and you're better prepared.

I did it in Lagos and the lady was not smiling. She denial almost everyone that comes to her

Then go.and read all the available transcript and learn how to answer directly with real life reasons not abstracts. Go to the search button and type VO mathematics and see how others inteview went ....

Once you are truly ready then re apply

I think you should have given a example of the complex mathematics that the mathematicians break down into simple mathematics for the layman to understand. Like how Fourier transform is a very important part of control theory which is used in virtually all industries with input/output machines and devices or how Signal processing is a major application of Fourier series and Without signal processing there's no Telecommunications or how Analysis of PDE is used in the detection and slowing down of tumor growth and it's also used in climate Modelling.
OR
You could have just linked it all up to coming back to be a Mathematics lecturer because it has been your passion to impact knowledge right from your cradle days as it brings you joy and fulfillment. And how you'd want to contribute to the change in the conventional (theory only) teachings we are used to in this country, as studying in the US would expose you to practical knowledge and not just theory which is an advantage for you and those you'd be teaching.
I might have written rubbish sha but then I think your answer had too many technical terms as the VO just wanted to know what the area can do in real life.

your how useful is the course to you.. Your answer sold u out.. Y don't u do something like you taking a lecturing job in mathematics when your back in Nigeria. Than all those complex stuffs u wrote up there.. Cu's if u check very well steadying this course boils down down to lecturing in a higher institute.. Atleast to convince the VO.. Some one has use this same mathematics two weeks ago to get visa.. Search for the transcript...

this cancel without prejudice was on my visa to Italy, which was approved by the italian embassy. I realise they made a mistake in visa type. So I am confuse why it should cause a denial in my US visa. This is my first time of been refuse visa and my first time of applying to the US. I have my assistantship letter and all. But she didn't even requested it.

Please I will like to know what went wrong why I got denial

Me: Yes, I have been to Italy, Bulgaria, Cameroun and Benin Republic. I was in ICTP, Trieste Italy for a workshop and I was in Bulgaria for the international mathematics competition for University students and summer school in Cameroun and Benin republic.

VO: do you speak French.(after accessing proof of travel to Cameroun and Benin)

Me : I speak a little.

VO: what aspect of mathematics are you going to study.

Me: pure mathematics, majoring in Analysis and PDE.

VO: tell me what is the usefulness of the area.

Me: a lot of physical world problem rely on mathematical knowledge and Analysis and Partial Differential Equation is a great tool for solving complex problem that are modeled into mathematical equations, and after a solution is obtained, mathematician translate the solutions to that which is understandable by non-mathematician.

VO: am sorry I cannot approved your Visa at this moment. Handed me my passport (after looking at the page "Cancel without Prejudice" for Italian Visa before they approved on the next page) and my I20 with the document I attached in this mail.
