The day of the Queen’s funeral will be a bank holiday, according to King Charles.


Two days after the passing of his mother, who was 96 years old, His Majesty was proclaimed at the Accession Council this morning.

The King gave his approval to a decree declaring the day of the Queen’s funeral to be a bank holiday during proceedings at St. James’s Palace.

As King Charles‘ car procession neared, a man was seen on film being tackled to the ground by police.

Several police officers were seen scaling the barriers to subdue the unidentified man.


Six Met Police officers can be seen rushing toward the man who is close to one of the barriers in a video taken in London and posted on social media.

He was abruptly pulled to the ground and handcuffed while the audience cheered loudly.

After being searched, the man was brought away by a police officer as bystanders took pictures, and then he was put inside a van as it pulled up.
