 The day of the Queen’s funeral will be a bank holiday, according to King Charles. Two days after the passing of his mother, who was 96 years old, His Majesty was proclaimed at the Accession Council this morning. The King gave his approval to a decree declaring the day of the Queen’s funeral to be a bank holiday during proceedings at St. James’s Palace.
