Nigerian troops have rescued 200 girls from Sambisa forest, the notorious hideout of the insurgent group, Boko Haram, the defence headquarters said Tuesday.
The girls were found Tuesday afternoon alongside 93 women who were also rescued, the military said.
The military however said it could not confirm whether the girls were students abducted more than a year ago from a secondary school in Chibok, Borno State.
The girls were being “screened and profiled”, the military said.
“Troops this afternoon rescued 200 girls & 93 women from Sambisa Forest. We cannot confirm if the #ChibokGirls are in this group,” the military said in a series of tweets.
“Troops captured and destroyed 3 terrorists camps including the notorious Tokumbere camp in the Sambisa Forest Operation.
“The freed persons are now being screened and profiled,” while promising to provide more detail on the operation later.”
The Chibok girls were abducted by Boko Haram militants on April 14, 2014.
PRNigeria, a news website which distributes press statements for the military and other Nigerian government agencies, reported that at least three major terrorists camps were destroyed during the operation.
The website quoted the Director of Defence Information, Chris Olukolade, a major general, as confirming the operations.
“I can only confirm the rescued this afternoon of 200 girls and 93 women in different camps in the forest. We are yet to determine their origin as all the freed persons are now being screened and profiled. Please don’t misquote me on their origin. We will provide more details later,” Mr. Olukolade said.

- Total sum cost = $34.8
- 1ltr cost = $34.8/159 litres = $0.219
- Naira equiv. 0.219xN160= N35.02k
- Add Tax N5 + N35.02 = N40.02

9) Let FGN refute the above composition and if not, they should tell us how they came about N95/N85 litre.

10) Locally refined products cannot be sold at International price.

11) We really do not need FGN SUBSIDY as there was NONE in the first place.

12) What is LACKING, is the WILL to enforce LAW ON CORRUPTION.

Igbo man can never vote for Awolowo because when the north couldnt defeat the Igbos during civil war with weapons Awo introduced blockade & that caused stavation that put the lives of millions of Ndi Igbo at the mercy of kwachioko. When the war was over the same Awo came up with 20pounds round number to every igbo man no matter how much you were worth.

Awo is a respected yoruba leader by the yorubas, Hausas never trusted him while the Igbos detest & hate him with PASSION.

OBJ is a Yoruba man & Igbos gave him all their votes in 1998 & 2003... While he yoruba brothers gave their votes to another person.

I am a believer of one NIGERIA but if federal character & quota system is not removed... Then let us go our different ways... P E R I O D!!!

Good day my fellow Nigerians and NLers as we patiently wait for 8 pm for INEC to announce the winner of the 2015 presidential election, a certain issue has come to my attention and I believe it should be addressed.

The fact that the APC supporters have begun to rejoice for a victory which is not in the near future has called for attention. The inevitable is certain and that is the fact that the PDP will win and believe me when I say so. Whether The general gets more votes or not, certain measures have been put in place to ensure Jonathan's return as I can remember any news about any vacancies in the Aso villa.

Now what troubles me is the fact that a lot of these APC supporters are aware of this fact deep down within them but they choose not to be realists and hence resort to deceive themselves. PDP has ruled this country for a lot of years now and I do see them being undermined even in the 2023 elections. APC is no contender with them and we all know that.

So I will say how it will all go down..and quote me anywhere:

Jonathan Will be announced winner, a lot of APC supporters won't agree with this, they willing be riots unnecessary losses but at the end of the day, everyone will go back to their various routines like there was no elections.

So why don't we prevent all these and just accept that deep and quite voice telling us that GEJ IS TILL 2019.....I have come to accept this fate and so should you
