Technology Market / Re: Buy Plasma, Lcd And Led Televisions For Affordable Pricein Lagos. by Terrybabanla: 3:16pm On Jan 29, 2017
Acunon, your TVs are way very expensive, not affordable at all, and you're not ready to negotiate the price. When you trying to negotiate price with him he goes 'No sir, that's my last price' in kinda arrogant way and take forever to reply your msg. Your overwhelmed customers is really getting to your head. Please remember how you started. You're selling tukunbos not new so your price should be fair.

Op, for your own good, ignore people asking you to be yourself, if you're not successful atleast have great body, lift, op lift, women love guys with great body, dress well trust me you'll attract pretty girls, they'll be the one to do the chasing.

Don't be yourself, work on yourself. Nothing like true love, if she ain't shit you outta her viginaaa forget it. Don't even think about girls for now until you've done the above advice.

If you don't have money, get yourself a job. Stop complaining, you're on your own in this world nobody give shit about you, if you give up on yourself, the world will give up on you. Don't be lazy, register for gym and start lifting.

Education / Re: I Need A Place I Can Learn Good English by Terrybabanla: 3:12pm On Nov 21, 2016
Thank you all for your time. But seems you don't get the point, I don't like the way I speak English, no confidence hence I make a lot of mistakes when trying to pass a message. I always admired most people on this forum who type and speak good english.

I can speak but I want to improve. I know my weakness I'm willing to work on it. I want to be bold when I communicate with people in English. My intonation is bad, command of English is almost zero, sometimes it's very difficult to express myself in certain way in English language.

Education / I Need A Place I Can Learn Good English by Terrybabanla: 10:07pm On Nov 20, 2016
Hi Nairalanders

I'm not very good in speaking and writing english language. I really wanna develop myself. This has drastically reduced my self esteem, sometimes, I find it very difficult to compose correct sentence without fear. To speak in public is a serious issue.

If you please know someone or a place I can learn good english language please refer.

Thank you so much.

Wow I'm sorry for your loss. I know you would have learnt a lesson already from your mistake. Always request for a copy so you can go through it to check of errors. Accept the job offer of 80k naira it's quite good for a start, you can save then attend national open University (it is flexible enough because you would have to shuffle from study centres to work) but as a graphic artist you might not even need to always be present at work since your work is not office base. Good luck in your live endeavors and have a nice day.

Thanks for your kind words

I must commend you that you are doing a great job! The only enemy you've got are the limits you place on yourself.. what I would suggest you do is...though it might be hard is package yourself!! no matter how hard it is, you need certification!! though most of the world renowned billionaires are not educated that's a thing of the past.. package your business, start behaving like a professional. dress like one, act like one. As long as you are updated n u know what you're doing you'll earn more money.. just package yourself!! don't make it look lie you're desperate or something... make it look like they are the ones who need you. aiit?? all the best! as 4 d kids they should motivate you to go 4 extraordinary.. read about henry ford!! + only God can make something small big!!

Thanks for this

This is not necessary, its unfortunate that we celebrate certificate in this part of the world rather than skills.

my brother integrity pays, it will pay you off someday, meanwhile, if you can struggle to sell ur lands and raise money, try n raise some money to get a degree, National open university of Nigeria will admit me try them.

Thank you so much. I'm 36years old with 2 kids, I never dream of working for someone I like working for myself but things changed and everything I've worked for gone just like that. My fear is how do I feed my family couple with study?

Hello everyone,

I'm a professional freelance graphic artist with over 8years work experience. Please believe me when I say I'm a professional. I'm highly creative and clients always comends my job.

The issue is, I stopped at secondary school level, I wanted to further my education to the university level but my elder brother who was my sponsor then died in ghastly motor accident. I was devastated and I couldn't further my education so I settled for what I love most which is graphic. Fortunately for me I met a white guy in 2002 from Spain who thought me graphic. I struggled to pay this guy, I had to work in a hotel as dry cleaner (washing bedsheet with sperm) but God saw me through.

I worked as freelancer since 2011. I made a huge mistake in dec 2014 (used the same date for November and December calender) for a reputable company in Lagos. They wouldn't listen to my plead so I sold my landed property, my car and home appliances to reprint the whole 16,000 copies.

Now, I want to work as in-house graphic artist but they price me down due to my educational background, they don't even talk about my experience, imagine a company offered 80k. Meanwhile I have a friend whose experience isn't as wide as mine collecting 250k monthly. The issue is I can forge original certificate I'm very good at manipulation. But my conscience won't allow me.

What do you think I should do in this situation?
