Your situation seems kinda similar to mine, it's not that anyone is jazzed by the way... My dad is also late, my dad's oldest brother took everything and in fact, out of six children, my dad who is the last born and everyone else among the children are dead except for the first born who seems to b taking everything regardless of how his siblings children will manage in life.

Where I am trying to drive at is your mom who have made a lot of mistakes seems to have lost her mind (or in another sense, 'jazzed), and you have seen those mistakes and will have to learn from it in order not to end up like her.
