Good evening house my Family reunion Visa was rejected On the basis that my husband is currently not able to secure my livelihood, meanwhile he is a permanent resident permit Holder and currently doing his Ausbidung and also has a mini job and tendered an account of 12euro though he didn’t block it as we Didn’t get enough information on how to block an account back then.

Please I need help Has anyone gone through this type of appeal before? if there’s anyone here who has appealed on this how did you appeal? What was the content and basis of your appeal and arguments, please it’s urgent help me oo my head is spinning �‍�

We have blocked an account for me already please I need samples or suggestions on how to construct a very strong Arguments on the appeal thanks as all suggestions will be highly welcomed and appreciated

Hello all,after more than 3 years on being in the process,since August 2019,I submitted health insurance since November 2021,only to receive a letter back from the German embassy alongside my documents yesterday, saying they can't grant my visa all sort of rubbish that they have concrete proff our marriage is just for the visa,and my wife is a young German citizen in her early 30s,we have both written back objecting the decision of the embassy,what can we do? The embassy gives us just one month to object the decision or go to court,has anyone encountered an issue like this or knows anyone who has or has any suggestions and also when the embassy says proff of financial situation how do we proff it? Please all help and reply is greatly needed and appreciated thank you all

Finally, the torturous journey of getting a German National Visa for about 2 years ends today!

To God be the Glory!

When the journey seems longer than usual it is not always an indication that you have a problem.

Let me give you a highlight of my journey on this family reunion visa process.

I applied for a family reunion visa on the 28th July, 2020.

Received a mail for interview on the 8th July, 2021.

Had my interview on the 5th of August, 2021.

Lawyer called on the 4th September, 2021.

Lawyer visited on the 9th September, 2021. The lawyer tried to manipulate me to pay him 200k as bribe but my spouse called his bluff because I have complete documents. No issues.

We waited for the foreign office to contact my spouse but they didn't. So, we chose to contact them. He wrote them a mail on the 2nd of November, 2021 informing them of our application.

They responded on the 4th of November, 2021 and requested him to submit some documents.

He submitted these documents on the 12th of November, 2021.

Since then, we waited and waited and waited!

After the endless wait we started calling them at the foreign office and sending mails. No response to mails and no picking of calls.

Around January, 2022 they started picking calls. They informed us that the woman in charge of our file was sick and she just resumed. So we should expect a response in two weeks.

After 3 weeks, we called again and we learnt that the woman's health had gone very bad and she had gone off work. And our file would be given to someone else to handle.

We waited and called again. No definite answer. We are working on it nooni!

Then, 1st of March, 2022 the foreign office sent my spouse a mail. They apologised profusely for delaying our application because of shortage of staff and covid.
They informed us that the positive response had been sent to the embassy in Nigeria and we should contact them henceforth.

We called the Nigerian embassy again and they told us to send a mail and attach the response we got from Germany to it. This was done on 10th of March, 2022.

On the 15th March, 2022. Approval Mail sent to me.

Dropped documents in person at the consulate on the 16th of March, 2022.

Documents received back today, 31st March, 2022 with my Visa stamped on my passport. Dem grant their mama 6 months!

Note: My A1 expired on the 24th of January, 2022. I prayed they shouldn't request another one and it was answered.

Germany here we come o!

Pls if you applied for an appointment with your passport bearing your maiden name. Do you need to change the name on your passport to that of your husband's after marriage for the interview? Thanks

I was asked to get a new passport carrying my husband’s Name cause the passport I used to apply was carrying my old names. that’s if you submitted Newspaper change of name and affidavit but if you didn’t submit this I don’t think this will be an issue……

Like some information from anyone that experienced the same during their visa application.. started my process in November lawyer came in January on 28 of March I got an email to submit a New passport carrying my husband name, waec and a new age declaration but wasn’t asked to submit TI or travel dates pls will I be contacted to submit them or the visa will just be granted on the passport and also they haven’t contacted my husband pls can someone help me don’t know what’s going on and why it’s taking so much though I have submitted the passport..

And also is it possible for them to grant me the visa without contacting my husband??
