Congrats to everyone that received a success mail. Wishing you the very best.

so, am sitted here wondering what i could have done wrong, or that I didn't do so well as to meet the cutoff and i cant really lay my fingers on them (meaning its the kind of mistake one is bound to repeat) . And i think every successful candidate can be used as a measure of the qualities that were tested for on that day. I would appreciate if maybe 2 or 3 people from those that received the success mail would be willing to just take a little timeout and help me answer the following questions( you can leave answering them untill after the assessment for discretionary reasons, but please do get back to answering them).

1. how old are you? eg 24
2. what is your discipline and grade(first class or lower)? physics, first class
3. any professional courses or masters program and such?
4. if u have worked at any financial institution? maybe at any other bank
5. if u happen to have any unemployment gaps? and how long?
6. if u answered the netflix issue question and how u would have graded yourself out of ten eg...answered all the questions, 7/10
7. and also what you personally thought gave you the edge?

that kind of thing...please am begging please try and answer them...u be helping a lot of people. thanks

PS: though i would like for the answer to be something that would be seen by others now and through time, but here's my personal contact (whatsapp): 08062551247.

Do they allow calculator for this test. I am fresher waiting for NYSC mobilization.

No they don't allow calculators. you have 50 questions in 50 mins, that's an average of one question per min. now in the mathematical section there some questions that are not really hard but involve a lot of arithmetic (adding, multiplying) of large numbers....u sort of instinctively have the feeling how on hell am i supposed to do this ACCURATELY in a min...don't forget once u attempt it and made a mistake reattempting to me a big thief of time...so when i see such questions am like that is for a calculator...which am certain i am not...so i guess and move on

Fact...
This is a competition and should remain as such.
Well said. thats our reality...what in this goddamn world aint a competition...to judge dat statement harshly will show some naivety and poor thinking...but still something about it still doesn't feel right...

The Sterling bank venue is in-between Anthony and Obanikoro bus stops. Depending on which sides you're coming from, you can stop at either stops and maybe walk down to the venue. But I wouldn't advise walking from Obanikoro as it's longer.

Advice for folks about dressing: Stick to what you were asked to wear or better don't show. Workforce don't take anything less than what they ask of from candidates. Not wearing the color of suit, shirt or type of footwear would translate to refusal to stick to rules for them. But to you, it's because you didn't have what they asked for. Borrow if you have to.

And after this stage held nationwide this weekend, every other stage beginning from assessment center until training school will hold in Lagos only. So also, for folks outside Lagos doing theirs in PH, Abuja, etc centers, start making plans for transportation and accommodation for the assessment center now!

Because it'll hurt if you come this far and logistics is your reason for pulling out.

Hopefully, those who will go first on Saturday will come back and gist others how it went in their centers nationwide. Someone has already explained what's likely to be expecting for this stage and it's brilliant. But I'll add a few; work on your presentation skills, ability to think fast and smart. This is a simple yet crucial stage so make it count.

Anyhow e go be, I wish y'all success and hopefully we'll get to discuss on the assessment center in the coming 2-3 weeks.

Best of luck.

I am quite new to this as this would be my first interview. so pardon my lack of understanding...should i come off as showing a lack thereof ...

Bro, you said someone has already explained what is to be expected for this stage and its brilliant...i dont really understand o...i know this next stage is said to be comprised of two stages: documentation and interview screening....which is diffrent from the assessment center...i was lead to believe that its the assessment center stage where one is expected to do some presentation, in-tray exercises , psychometric test and a host of activities...now what am thinking that the interview screening exercise would be about is the usual: tell em about yourself, why do you think we should hire you, what are your strengths or have their been cases where one has been asked to do some presentation during an interview....

[I did maths last, and i wasnt picked, i guess tge maths had more marks to it,i did all otger adoect well but time was limited to complete quantitative aspect had to do just 3 correctly and leave the rest to guessing..

yeah. I have never failed any workforce on site test. here's my trick. I attempt the maths section last. and when I get to the section I do those easy ones first then do gambling on others. always do the maths aspect last.

i did the maths section first sha.. but what i did was to sort of be able to look at a question and see if its something that can be answered right away and without a calculator in about a min...if i think it can , i will attempt it if it cant i guess and move to the next....the whole idea of moving to another section and then backtracking on a computer screen often seem to be annoying

Before assessment center, there will be a pre assessment chat, it will be more like a little presentation. You will pick a topic and will be given about 5-10 mins to prepare for it then you will be called in to present. It can be on any topic oooo.
The Assessment center will come after the pre assessment chat for those who were successful. It will entail report writing on Ms Word, presentation on Power point, essay writing and competency interview. Those who are successful will move to the final interview.
Last year 42 persons made it to training school. So you must bring your A game. Success Guys

wow...all is well...well they better delay like a month or two(i am sorry for being selfish most people wont mind things moving much quicker...but the thin fear me...essay, report, presentation ).....hehehe
