There is a reason Ronaldo has more social media fans than Messi. Messi's lack of international success and perceived inability to make things happen outside Barcelona would always haunt him.

Ronaldo is a player you will want in your team if you are coaching any team in the world.

Messi is a player you will want if you are coaching Barcelona.

To all the people saying Ronaldo has played more games than Messi, if we are to go by goals to games ratio, Puskas is better than Messi.

Besides, Messi will never play the same number of games as Ronaldo because Ronaldo is fitter. Ronaldo will play till he is 40/42 and Messi will retire before him.

Being the "greatest" is subjective. For some, ratio is most important, for others, it could be one goals bringing down big teams singlehandedly on multiple occasions or the being the most versatile goal scorer in that there is no form of goal scoring he isn't legendary at...or just the fact that he has the most goals.
