The woeful performance by Kwankwaso's handpicked loyalist that contested under the NDC in the Kano bye-elections for a Federal House of Representative post has sent a clear and unfiltered message to Kwankwaso that the people of Kano are not happy at all with his alliance with Peter Obi.

Kwankwaso was and still not interested in being VP under Peter Obi.

He is repeating what he did in 2023 when he contested for the Presidency under NNP.

In that last election cycle, Kwankwasso only contested so as to get his loyalists to take over Kano to which he succeeded.

The 2023 elections for Kwankwaso was just an avenue to displace Ganduje from Kano politics and Kwankwasso achieved his aim by getting NNP to win the gubernatorial and legislative offices available for contest.

This was the reason Kwankwasso joined NDC after falling out with his protege , the current governor of Kano.

But Kwankwaso did underestimate the level of rejection the people of Kano have for both Obi and his mannerless Obidient mob and their anti northern , anti Muslim and anti Nigerian posture.

Peter Obi made matters worse for Kwankwaso by going public to declare that a convicted terrorist Nnamdi Kanu is innocent of all charges and should be released.

That statement destroyed every doubt in the minds of Kano people in considering anything that has to do with NDC.

The only option left for Kwankwaso is to dump the NDC and Peter Obi and go back to the APC .

And I see this happening because as I said earlier, Kwankwasso is not in anyway interested in being VP to Obi because Kwankwasso never believed Obi can win the Presidential race.

As for Obi it's going to be very difficult to get a seasoned northern politician like Kwankwaso to replace him as his running mate.

No serious northern Muslim politician will risk associating with Peter Obi and that includes the likes of Datti who have since cut ties with Obi.

The only option for Obi is to pick Tanko Yusuf as his running mate.

The coming elections will be disastrous to say the least for Obi's political career as I don't see him repeating the fluke of 2023 and he will only do well in his SE.

That said, Obi will be permanently retired from national politics and his obidient mob demons will need a new body to possess .
