Yeah am in the US now,the interview was very short.The CO asked a cpl of qxns about the petitioner,went through some of my pics and asked me to pick up my visa the following week.

I swear it was Gods, on the day of the interview I was so ill i could hardly move,but God saw me through.

Sorry Bro i don't have an answer to that question.My visa fees was paid by my peeps here in the US.You could start a new thread under the Travel section,am sure someone here knows.Best of luck mehn latter.

House i want to know how long its take for immigrant visa application to be approved, my friend got married to an American citizen and she is trying to apply for his immigrant visa but ppl are saying that it will take up to two and half years for it to be approved and that she should file for a fiance visa for him instead. Plz how true is this?

Well d_junior am no expert at this immigration thing,but i'll add my two cents.An in-law of mine got married to a US citizen,and he his papers came thru 1 and the half years after the wedding.So I did say it should take 2 years or less.

the current (feb) pd is april 2003. . hw come u are ready for your interview. . . cos am also in the same sitiuation my pd is feb 2007. . . i think u pd was current about 2 to 3 months ago before the retrogression occured. . . which stage are u nw? guys lets keep updatin our situations.

Honestly I Dnt know how the PD thing works,
NVC sent me a mail mid last year asking me to assign a choice of agent then after that they asked for my affidavits of support Docs.
Then last month(Dec)I got a mail frm them informing  me that all my docs have been reviewed and they been forwarded to their consulate in Lagos and that the consulate is trying to fix an Interview Date,i should exercise patience cos Lagos is quite busy.

i guess its DV lottery pips that pay at the consulate.

i am in the same situation, i am also going to adjust to permanent residency. i don't know what types of question they ask. i dont think is the same others, i believe it depends on your situation. whats your situation, who filed for u? and what is your status in the us right now?

My mom {Perm Resident }filed for me.I'm not in the Us,I'm in Nigeria.

third country on the same day by the same or first connecting
aircraft and holding confirmed onward tickets and staying in
the airport"

A visa is not required.I hope this post helps others.

Yeah I got a mail from NVC office a year ago telling me they were out of visa numbers like you said.but the thing is they recently mailed me asking me to assign a choice of agent does that mean they now have a visa number for me?
