You're still getting it wrong! The computer science lecturers in US and UK are not working in Silicon valley, are they? By the time an undergraduate will be in their second year, they may know more than their maths and physics teachers in the secondary school and that doesn't mean the teachers did not contribute anything to their academic journey. Don't look at life that way. The teacher just gives you a foundation and guidance, what you do with the knowledge he imparts on you is completely up to you.

If you want to pursue a career in the academia abroad, an easy way is through getting a 1st class. If you don't have a first class you will have to work extra hard to prove yourself. Class of degree counts. And oyinbo people don't practice our foolish behaviour of graduating with first class in biochemistry and becoming a tailor and then be using it to "motivate" others
