Again you don't bother to read neither do you understand jack. All people like you care about is to throw insults right, left and centre.

I was going to debunk whatever you quoted me about , but it’s a waste of time, and I feel bad about derailing this thread.
I don’t read and don’t understand. Thank you sir

Na online everyone Dey. Keep flexing the muscle. More grease to your elbow👍. My last word on this.

Apologies to everyone, it is not my intent to derail the thread.

Going back to my hole.

Because it is Sunday, let me preach.

My account infosoftlife is in jail. Yes, the rule was broken and I could remember I saw the reason for the ban.

@justwise is just policing the platform and the rules are boldly written.

It is to keep everyone safe!

@bolded it’s our collective responsibility to be the change we seek!

Don't blame the police but the scammers of the past who made the moderators to start taking these bold steps.

They are doing their job!

When we ever get into a position of trust let us endeavor not to shut the doors for others behind us.

Shalom!!!

See why I said something an explanation could have sorted and I would have took down the thread. I was so enthusiastic about finding like minded people and didn’t consider scammers or anything, I don’t even come to the platform often back then to know the rules. A 2 year ban was too extreme.

He did not modify his posts on the thread to explain until after I had been banned and couldn’t even respond. I remember he was asking me if I intend to create a group and I responded naively “anything preferable” , if he was someone nice , why not say , “that’s against the rules” . Will a scammer had let him know , there was going to be a group chat or something.

FYI ; no group chats were created neither did I email anyone privately . I was too blinded by anger and confusion after the ban.

Also, you see how people have stopped posting their interview transcripts?
The group chat he banned innocent people like me for , is what others opened behind his back and people stopped coming here.

Yes i did explain to you that dropping contact details for people to contact you is not allowed. i engaged you and other people in that thread from page one of that thread to page 3 but you and others keep asking and dropping contact details then i have to ban you and others.

Sometimes its completely pointless trying to reason with some of you because you don't have it in you to be understanding/

Oh my God.
Don’t you dare lie.

You didn’t engage me from page 1-3 . Please I hate lies. I was blocked when that page was still 1. I was so confused because I was trying to find out what I did wrong , I couldn’t reply to any of the mentions. Somebody from Diary section had to explain to me. I was still fresh on Nairaland then.

Please uncle , I did not ask for anybody’s contact, stop acting like you’re a good person.

This is one of the issues I have with moderators threating individuals with account bans & restriction. Individuals should not be gagged for expressing themselves. There's always abuse of such privileges. There should be a better way to address such issues.

Nothing to add to this current discussion but this particular moderator , that is his modus operandi. I remember how he blocked me from the travel section for 2 years. My offense? I was trying to find accountability partners to search for scholarships together , I didn’t create a group chat or anything.

Something a simple explanation would have sorted, he decided to flex muscle. Thank God Nairaland isn’t the only information platform, and even after he banned me , I still travelled out.

Fix up.

You can go ahead and delete this message too or ban me for 5 years , since you’re fond of that.

i wasn't even taking a dig at you but I guess the shoe fits....

All the people that have been screaming , don’t eat while watching , proceeds to quote the only post saying such (which was made days ago, dedicated the time to find it)
But it’s not a dig.

Gaslighting much?

My last mention of this btw , generally I have a rule of ignoring quotes from here because it’s always an ego wielding contest with you lot

People who are "screaming" that "Saltburn" is weird or "Make sure you are not eating when seeing it" probably need to see more movies because it isn't even a Top 20 weird movie material if that kind of list is ever made.

I went in waiting to see all the hype on how disturbing it was only to find out, it is a pretty straightforward "normal" movie to an average cinephile and that left me a bit disappointed.

Congratulations. Best in watching movies 👏🏆🥇

Saltburn 2023

Trigger warning : don’t watch while eating or after a meal.
I didn’t think much could surprise me after watching the peach scene in call me be your name, 2017 but this was a discovery. It tested the limits of my imagination.

I can’t even rate because I am unsure what to rate it.

One of the top classic movies on my watchlist for ages I'm yet to watch. 2023 has passed me by and I still haven't watched this. 🥲🥲

I have a whole lot of them on my list as well.
Still yet to watch the Godfather franchise, Scarface etc
I think it was this year I watched Fight Club and the Color Purple.

Pulp Fiction 1994 : 9/10

No wonder this movie is a classic. Amazing storytelling by Quentin Tarantino, the sequencing was perfect. Easily one of the best opening and ending scenes I’ve seen.

When I found out why Jules wasn’t in Butch’s apartment, I was awed. Then the plot with zed and Maynard had my mouth open 😂

Kudos 👍

Barbie 2023 : 6.5/10

I have a rule of not watching trailers , because I want the movies to surprise me. If I watch trailers, my chances of being disappointed is about 70%.

When Barbie was the buzz everywhere, I cautiously avoided clicking on the trailer, it was hard because everyone was talking about it 😁.

I didn’t know what to expect from a doll movie but the plot did surprise me, how did we arrive at feminism and patriarchy from a doll 😂😂.

Thumbs up for creativity. Plus I did chuckle a few times from the lines

Thatthickgirl, I enjoy reading your diary.

Please where do you get your wigs? Do buy from Nigeria? If yes, how do they deliver them to you?

Yes, I buy from Nigeria.

I use shipping companies (I also use them to get my Nigerian food items) , the last time I used them was in August and I think it was #6500 per kg

Every dialogue in the mood was bad bro.
The fact that this is a movie that's poised to be the next Star Wars is laughable tbh. I love Snyder and I prayed this movie would be really good but it fell short.
First off and my main concern was the movie had no spirit at all. No humour, I didn't feel anything for the characters - the folks that joined her - the reason for joining her in the adventure was so bland to me- the rebellion and the reasons why one would die for a cause wasn't really fleshed out at all. Good Sci Fi movies should have humor esp through dialogue and physical humour but I saw none of that.
Also the story was so dry. Like every other SciFi movie, it doesn't have a new story to tell. The plot twist was already known in 30 minutes after the film started- no suspense at all
I just rewatched it the 3rd time and I'm giving it a 4/10

The bold text summarize why I gave it a 5. It feels like I had seen the movie before. Too cliche for my liking.

The scene with the guy flying the bird or creature was not needed. The way I rolled my eyes Ehn.

But what do I know 🤷‍♀️

Rebel Moon Part One (2023) : 5/10

I didn’t watch the trailer but I was expecting more because it is Zack Snyder.

The plot and most scenes are cliches. The protagonist being the biggest cliche 😂. I can’t count the amount of times I rolled my eyes.

Maybe I’ve just watched too many movies and series.

We use MLA.I haveproblem with structureand organization in writing

I think the basics is ; introduction, body and conclusion as we were taught.
Also make sure , each paragraph conveys an idea i.e ( if you are writing about 3 ideas , you will have a paragraph for introduction, 3 paragraph for the ideas (body) and a last paragraph for conclusion).

For the sentence structure, start with the main point (the first 2/3 sentences in the paragraph), so the readers know exactly what you’re writing about without having to read everything. Then the remaining sentences can be used to explain the first sentences.

Also re-read to ensure there is a logical flow in your words.

I don’t know if this helps and there are different types of writing (e.g a thesis and dissertation will be different, I assume that’s not what you need help with but assignments in class)

A tip : I always make my introductions catchy , so the reader has no option than to be intrigued. Though there is a school of thought that believes catchy introductions are cliches.
