Happy New week Famz!... Dedicating this to my faithful fanz. I heart you all. 104. COUNTLESS The woman standing over my view was wearing a white overall gown that stops just inches below her thigh, a low cut dress that accentuated her mature figure. She was stunning to say the least. Her black hair pulled tight into a ponytail on one side, yet framing a sophisticated gorgeous face with perfect makeup accentuated by a bright red lipstick. But despite her attractive appearance, my mind couldn't help but swing into a trance as I stare blankly at her smiling face right there on my sick bed. 'Whats the devil up to this time again? Why am I seeing this woman? Isn't she suppose to have died? How can she still be alive up till this moment? Has death go on strike? Or its becoming negligent in its duty?..no I don't think so...cos death no dey strike. Something wey no get sense no fit go on strike na. Or didn't Nurse Bose explained to me that this woman's ailment is incurable? How am I now seeing her...? Or am dead already? Wait o...I think am dead o. Person wey moto jam like that no fit dey alive na!...No wonder everywhere is white.' At that moment, I started seeing myself in a very strange environment and the theme of this new environment was plainly white. Worry has replaced the smiling look on the face of the woman I saw when I first opened my eyes as all her efforts to snap my mind back to reality all proved futile. My blank eyes could see her mouths moving but my ears and mind were far away from helping me understand her intentions as they were still stucked in the trance mode. 'Yes! Am dead! Thats the only reasonable logic behind why am seeing this woman.....oh! R.I.P to you son of thunder...the whole world will surely miss you....all those pvssies have been left behind....gawd! All my abandoned pvssies will now belong to another man. Lovelyn's pvssy! Although we had a brief time together before I later met her at Adedoyin's residence but she has managed to sneak her pvssy into my list of best ever pvssies. Beatrice! Well, may her vengeful soul continue to rot in the prison of the E.F.C.C. Her pvssy is the only good thing I can remember about her....and her money! Yes Her Ego!.... Doris pvssy!..hmmm, mother of my unborn twins...wait o..she suppose don born na...he don tey wey she don get that belle na....that one no even concern me. May she never know any peace wherever she is after what she did to me o. Na no-nonsense thunder go fire am wherever she dey. Useless twät! Chioma's pvssy! Hmmm....that lightskinned b!tch...she's also among the architect of my problems as she aided Adedoyin in drugging me and thereby sending me into Beatrice vengeance book. Although she later paid with her toto o, but whichever way it is, she's still a devil to me. Bella and Bianca pvssies...hmmm...that one na grade A incèstuous relationship. May the two of them never forgive me wherever them dey. I really offended those guys. Pretty and Beauty pvssies- those two ugly products of the devil...ah no fit forget the kind suffer wey ah suffer for their hands. May their ugly souls continue to melt in hell. Who else again? Ah no even remember again jare...my list of fvcked pvssy seems like an endless one...but wait o, Ah no even get respect for heaven self...not sure maybe na heaven I dey o, but how can I be thinking of pvssy when I never know when the devil will come and take me to hell?...hmmm Darous eh....its obvious that, it was your brain Jesus was staring at when he said 'its finished' on the cross. Your brain is totally finished. Instead of you to be thinking of how to bribe any of the angel God will send to come and take you to hell, maybe that angel will allow you to stay in heaven overnight and return you to hell when its daybreak...chai...satan go......" A mentholated inhaler stuffed into my nostrils was what disrupted my trance visuality and thereby snapping my mind back to reality. I sneezed very hard, 4 times before its effect eventually wore off. I felt a sharp and excruciating pain on my waist region as I tried to sit up and I let out a loud groan which spurred the people around me to pacify me. Standing nearer to my bed was the nurse I presumed was the one that stuffed the inhaler into my nostrils. Closer to her was Adedoyin, the woman that kick started my encounter with trouble with her abnormal infatuation of me. "sorry dear...take it easy....the nurse said your wounds aren't totally healed. Just relax back on the bed please." Adedoyin adviced, while one of her hands was surfing my hair gently. I raised my gaze up to her and she doesn't look like someone thats suffering from headache talkless of the chronic disease nurse Bose claimed she have. "where am I?" I asked no one in particular. "dear you are in my house....my driver......" "what! What am I doing in your house?" I queried with a stern tone. One of the nurse that just entered with a large tray containing different range of needles dropped the tray ontop the stool beside my bed and walked closer to me with a wide grin. "Mr Darous, am nurse Shola." She introduced herself as she stops beside my bed. She offered me an energy drink which I gulped down instantly. My throat was totally dry. The other nurse in the room still held the inhaler in her hand as she sank herself comfortably in the cushion. Then Nurse Shola continued. "have been the one treating you since two days ago when Madam requested your custody from our hospital where her driver took you after the accident." I just opened my mouth slightly agape and unable to close it like an over used pvssy as Nurse Shola's words began to make sense in my brain. The awful memory of the accident replayed in my brain as I maintained my bare-chest sitting position. I glanced briefly at Adedoyin who was wearing a pitiful look on her face. "Ade, why are you staring at me as if you're seeing a ghost?" I asked Adedoyin. But she then signalled to the nurses to vacate the room and they instantly did, then she leaned forward towards me and began with a calm tone. "my dear, am sorry my careless driver hit you. But you have to understand one thing here. Despite how you maltreated and abandoned me, I mean, despite how you've made me cried severally, am still the one standing beside you on your sick bed.....because even after everything you did, I realise how much love I have for you." She paused to take a deep stare into my eyes and I couldn't help but feel guilty of how have misinterpreted her intentions in the past, whether genuinely or fakely is what I can't really tell. "Darous?" She called softly. "ye...e..s...s" I stuttered that out slowly. "am I wrong to love you?" "huh...I....I...can't answer that really but maybe everything that happened in the past happened for a reason..." I said. She was silent for more than 10secs and seems to be ruminating on what I said before she spoke. "I think you are right...everything happened for this very moment to happen. When I will be the only one left in the world that can help you. Remember what I told you sometimes ago... I said, I know you will still come back to me one day. And I believe that day has eventually arri...." "maam..." Nurse Shola interrupted from the doorway. "its time for his medication." "okay...just a minute please..." Adedoyin said and the nurse returned outside. Turning back to me she said. "its time for your injections. I will be in my room. We continue our discussion after your treatment....remember,helping those that doesn't want to help themselves is like a waste of time." Slowly, she walked out of the door and her short absence was instantly replaced with the presence of the two nurses. Slowly, I lowered my back on the bed and a tear drop escaped from my eyes as everything Adedoyin said began to echo in my mind. "sir, you need to take your injections now....." The nurse informed and began to prepare the injections. Seeing the lenght of the needle that will penetrate my body, I became instantly apprehensive and nervously afraid at the sametime. There's no way in hell am going to open my eyes and watch that thing enter my body. Not even if my life depended on it. No! No way. I rose up immediately and grab the nurse by the wrist just when she was extracting some fluids from a little botte. "whats the matter." She queried looking into my eyes. "nurse...nurse...don't worry again...am now okay...I don't need any injection." "you've got to be one hell of a comedian...you that could barely sit upright is telling..." "See you've got to understand me. Am a son of thunder, and thereby alergic to anything that belongs to the god of Iron...." "what nonsense are you talking about?" She said angrily. "I mean that needle belongs to the god of iron. If you insert it into my body as a son of thunder, na wahala go follow am o. Please nurse, believe me...." I protested pleadingly while the nurse just let out a frustrated sigh and dropped the injection inside the tray. "but, you have to take it now. No, no, No!" "what do you mean No? I said am okay. I don't need any stup!d injection. Na your body? Eh? Answer me!" "ofcos its not mine...but..." "no more buts, I said am okay. I don't need injection...na my body not yours!" I tried to rise up from the bed but I instantly felt another round of excruciating pain around my waist region. I let out a groan and the nurse helped me back onto the bed. "seems like your mouth and body are not on speaking terms..." "what do you mean?" I shot back at her amid groanimg sounds. "You said, you are okay but your body says you are not." She said in what seems like a mocking tone. I eyed her scornfully while she returned to what she was doing earlier. "now, you have to take this now, or we do it the hard way!" She stated authoritatively and continued. "but, maybe being handsome and crippled at the sametime won't be a bad thing afterall." She stated seriously. "you can't be serious!" "I wish am not" She replied. Who says karma hasn't turned me to its private b!tch afterall. TBC |

continuation of Countless 103. It was unexpected at first, seems too much for my brain to comprehend as I continued staring shockingly at the floor. On the floor, just inches away from the bed, lies a gagging Blessing thats groaning and rolling on the floor with whitish fluid bubbles coming out of her mouth. In what seems like a quick reflex, I dashed towards her, and thanks to my muscle, I was able to succefully lift her into my arms and carried her outside the door before I started shouting for help. "please Blessing stay with me...please don't die...please....please!!!" I spoke on while watching her eyes and eyelids perform a close and open action for that brief moment before two male among the motel attendants came to aid me in putting her now unconscious body inside a car volunteered by another guest of the motel as she was being rushed to the hospital and I followed suit. *** "Mr Darous, first of all, that lady is lucky you arrived on time...." The doctor came to inform me at the waiting hall, fourty minutes after they had began working on Blessing. "Mr Darous, had it been you arrived seconds after, only Gawd knows what would have happened by now...." He paused to re-adjust his falling glasses and continued. "secondly Mr Darous.....we carried out some test on her and we found out that she ate a poison.." "chineke! Rat poison!" I lamented folding my arms across my chest. "but calm down, your girlfriend is out of danger for now..." He called her my girlfriend because thats how I introduced her to them when we got there so they can start working on her immediately."but..." He continued and paused. "what doctor....?" I queried anxiously. "we detected that there's still traces of poison inside her blood stream which can still be harmful to her health if not totally flushed out." "oh gawd of poison!...doctor you mean she can still die?" "yes...but not if you get us the sample of the poison she took or its container" stated the doctor. "I don't get you doc...what are you saying? Poison container or what?" I stated confusedly. "what I mean to say, Mr Darous is, getting that poison or its container is paramount at this stage, as that would help us in determining which type of Poison neutralizer and treatment we're going to use on her. So that she can start recuperating fast." he explained. "but am not teaching you your work o Doctor, please can't you use a Master poison neutralizer or antidote that can flush out all types of poison?" "am sorry Mr Darous...nothing like that in the medical world. Just help us get the said requirements. Her life depends on it." He stated vehemently and made to walk away but I quickly shipped in. "but Doctor.....I don't even know how and when she took the poison...how am I suppose to know which type of poison she took when she didn't even give me any hint that she's going to take poison as her last supper?" "Mr Darous....am afraid there's nothing else we can do until we lay our hands on what I asked of you....excuse me please...other patients are in need of my attention." With that, he bowed out and dissappeared through another entrance. I hurriedly got out of the hospital and began walking towards the main road to board a bike. While at the main road waiting for bike, I quickly called Jide to inform him of the latest incident and he promised to come to the hospital soon. I pocketed the phone and began searching nervously for any upcoming bike that can take me back to the motel where I hoped to find either the remaining poison or its container. "please gawd...spare her life o...she must not die like this o. She don suffer too much o...please gawd o...." I prayed fervently, nervously and seriously as I completed 10mins without seeing any bike beside the main road. Just then, luck shined on me as I saw a bike coming from the opposite direction. In a nervous haste, I began shouting at the bike rider. "bike!! Elega! Elega!!" I shouted at the bike coming from the opposite direction and he slowed down slowly and parked at the other side of the road. Instead of waiting for the bikeman to come and meet me where I stood, I hurriedly embarked on a mission to meet him where he waited just because of Blessings life thats at stake. In my haste, I made a costly mistake and thats forgetting to do the ancient ritual of looking right and left before crossing a main road. I dashed into the express road and I'd hardly gotten to its middle when I heard the loud hooting of a fast approaching blue Venza car, followed by a tire screeching sound and before I knew it, its bonnet has hit me hard below my waist region and that effectively sent me thumbling on the tiled road. My eyes closed instantly and oblivion overtook my unconscious body. *** First thing I saw after opening my eyes few days later was a familiar female face smiling at me and she quickly added this words; "glad to have you back into the land of the living dear. Longtime no see Darous." I instantly knew it. My troubles are wakening! TBC |
First I want to show some signs of appreciation to everyone that showed me love during the time traggedy hit my family in a hard way. I say thanks to all those who called, texted, whatsapped, instagramed, facebooked, 2goed, eskimied, badoed, and twittered me inspirationally. Thanks alot and I pray and hoped such never befell you or your family. AMEN. 103. COUNTLESS Jide's parents and there relatives were all present on the day of the naming ceremony. Likewise in attendance were Favours Mum and Dad and their well wishers. Also in un-invited attendance are the we-must-chop your-food-gangs. "the name of this bouncing baby boy, according to what his parents listed here are: Joseph, Dylan, Darous Jnr and Oladimeji. May he live long to take all this names to greater heights in Jesus name!." The whole congregation chorused 'AMEN' at the end of the pastor's speech and that kick-started the time for merriments. (song) :- "girl I have a question to ask you today, will you marry me though I met you today.....and she says, You don't even know my Father, o de momi rara, you don't even know my Mother, O de fe fimi saya....can you pay my bride price its just a million dollar..... Easy o Jeje, take it slow o......kole to yen my darling jeje o....." I danced slowly with Dylan, Jide's new baby boy in my arms as Easy(jeje) new song of Reekado banks continued sounding from the giant speakers outside. "Jide, you know, I can't help but wonder why you dey shy to ask god for comon sense?" I said to Jide the moment he finished changing his cloths to a casual one and after I'd also returned Dylan to his Mum. "you don start again.,wetin ah do you this time o...?" He asked with a teasing smile. I gulped down the beer in my cup and readjusted my buttocks on the plastic chair. "why you go name your pikin after me na? You wan turn me to celebrity ni?" "Darous, see you dey talk as if you no deserve more than that....and incase you no know, thats to tell you say ah no fit forget that name of yours for my life....and even after everything you don do for me when I was sick....you truly deserve am jare my shango friend." He ended conclusively with a smile. "hmmm....anyway, what are friends for? But guy wait o...you no go tell me how you managed to convince Favour to marry you...?" I asked and just when he was about to reply, Jide's Dad came inside and asked me to excuse them that he wants to have a discussion with Jide outside thereby leaving me alone inside. I sat there surfing the internet on my phone and minutes later, Favour, Dylan's mum walked inside and we engaged in a conversation. "Darous Darous....how things na?" She asked, after laying Dylan in his craddle. "wo...we dey push am jare...and you? Wetin dey sup?" "fine o..." She answered and sat down on the sofa opposite my location. "You know, I keep on wondering how Jide managed to convince you to marry him despite the inhuman way he used in getting you pregnant..." "hmmm...infact me self no know how he managed to convince me o. But what I know is that, your decision to forgive him after everything he did to you was what really helped in changing my mind and since then have come to know him as a really nice guy." "really?" I asked suprised-ly. "trust me....thats the blatant fact." "hmmm....na wa o...I just pray we all find happiness within eachother o." "amen o." She replied then picked her phone and dialed a number afterwhich she engaged in a short discussion with the person before she returned her attention to me. "which work are you doing now?" "presently?" I asked. "no...futurely, talk jor" She said with a playful smile which further showed her extreme beauty. "hmmm....I deal in betting business...and presently, I mean actually I...." I was saying when a noise from outside distracted us. We both hurried outside and it was there that I saw Blessing (Jide's former Fiance) waving the shards of a broken bottle she just smashed against the table at Jide. Cladded in a blue jean top and blue 3-quater jean, with a cowboy boots on her feet and a ruffled hair on her head was a Blessing I once knew as a peaceful and easy going girl. But here she stands, almost unrecognisable with a weapon in her hand. She indeed appeared like a tickling time bomb thats waiting to explode if care is not consulted before anyone tries to approach her. Fortunately for Jide, his Dad was nowhere in sight during that nasty period. "wey that pikin wey you born make ah smash in brain with this bottle? Eh?" Blessing's voice snarled out again at Jide who appears really frightened at this new version of Blessing thats standing before him. "bring him mama out make I pieces her!" She cried out desperately. "calm down please...." I said as I slowly walked towards her. "calm...down Ble..." "don't you fvcking Blessing me...are you all not birds of the same feathers? Eh? Darous...tell me you are not part of this stupid ceremony!" She roared again as she continue bouncing up and down the large canopy. "Blessing, I know you're hurt...but violence isn't the answer to this...lets just settle this amicably..please..." I pleaded further as I neared her and quickly wrapped my arms around her breäst region trying to subdue her. Jide and two other guys joined me and the bottle was disconnected from her hand but she didn't drop it without a fight. "Jide, who is this riff-raff that the devil have sent to come and spoil my grandchild's peaceful naming ceremony?" I turned around and saw Jide's mum looking at Jide probably for answers to her questions. I wanted to ask her why she waited for Blessing to get apprehended before coming out to talk but I just ward it off. Jide just continue staring blankly at his mum without saying anything and his mum lost her dominion over patience with his mute actions. "are you deaf...? Can't you talk? I say who is this riff-raff..." "eh mama, am not a riff-raff...and for your information, my name is Blessing and am suppose to be your...." knowing what Blessing was about to say and the damage her words would cause, I quickly cover her mouth with my free palm and hurriedly conclude her statement for her. "erm...ma...she's...she's...erm my girlfriend...she's actually here to fight me because I forgot that today is her birthday....and she thinks its your grandchild that took my attention that she desperately wanted away from her." "aww!...poor girl....girls of this days sha...work of too much weed!" I hear one woman say. "how sad... Is she a mental patient?" Jide's mum asked gesturing at Blessing who was still struggling to get my palm out of her vocal department so she could tell that everything have said about her have been lies, but no...the devil is a big liar, I must make sure she doesn't talk. "i think so.." Jide replied his mum in reference to her earlier question. "how sad that my grandchild shares the same month of birth with such a lunatic lady...and Darous, don't you think you're too responsible for you to be dating this nuiscance?" Jide's mum voiced out angrily and I could feel how Blessing reacted as those words sunk in. "am sorry ma...it won't happen again ma." I said just when the woman was about walking away. "sorry for yourself...just take her to Aro so that she doesn't bite someone here." She dropped that with a harsh tone and she signalled to the Dj to turn up the volume of the music and the gathered crowd started dispersing one by one. *** 3hours later, I was at the same Motel with Blessing. Two of Jide's friend had helped me in taking her away from the party and Jide had entrusted me with the task of making sure Blessing doesn't comes back to the party. Reminding me of how important his new re-union with his dad meant to him and he won't allow Blessing to ruin it for him. "Darous...whats all the rubbish you said back there? You dey craze?" She blurted out loudly after we'd entered the room. "what I did back there, my dear lady...is saving your painful and reckless arse." I retaliated and she eyed me with a scornful look but I didn't care one bit. "how can you even think of going to that kind of place without consulting your brain? How can you go there and be displaying a rare level of madness..? You just went there to embarrass your..." "don't you dare put the blame on me Darous....as if am the culprit here....tell me, did I do anything wrong in seeking vengeance? Eh? After what your friend did to me, am I the one you'll blame?" She retorted with a furious display. "and I once thought you had sense, but...." "but what? Go ahead, complete the damage you've done...!" She fired. "well never mind....just take it easy...or else you will just continue disgracing yourself...just hand everything to gawd...eh?" "are you alright? Hand what to gawd? After everything I did for your friend...is this the reward of my 5years relationship with you guys? What am I going to tell my parents that have been on my neck telling me to bring them my fiancee? What of my friends...wetin ah go tell them say happen to my fiancee that have been telling them about?...tell me Darous...." She paused to wipe away the tears that formed in her eyes with her left hand. "don't worry Darous...you obviously don't know how I feel....I know what to do sha....everything that has a begining must surely have an end." She said and sat on the bed. "your hand is bleeding." I stated after noticing the blood thats dripping from her hand. She took a glance at it, then returned her gaze to me. "not your business Darous." She fired. "ofcos it isn't, but I won't stand and watch you mensturate with your hands. Get it cleaned, then take a shower and relax...only after then, we can talk." I said and walked out of the door. I had barely walked two feets away from the door when I began to hear sobbing sounds coming from inside. I instantly hated Jide for what he had done to this lady. I felt nothing but pity for her. Only if I could help her heal her wounds. "go back and pacify her and stop being a male-ly b!tch" A voice commanded from within me. I stood there for almost 3mins still deliberating on maybe to go back inside and pacify her or just continue my trip to the resturant beside the motel but I suddenly heard a loud thud from inside. I turned back instantly and ran back inside but the sight that beheld me was a very terrible one. |

Countless 102 is dedicated to this iconic soul. QUADRI OLANIRAN OLADIMEJI, (former president of IfeLAW). Who passed away on the 7th of November 2017 after no-illness. R.I.P.P BROTHER 102. COUNTLESS. Getting an apartment in this new state first seems like an impossible task for me during my first three weeks in Ado Ekiti the capital of Ekiti state. Hence I spent those periods in a middle-class hotel, thanks to the money I derived from the Whistle blowing job. Hours run into days and days transformed into weeks and weeks later sworn affidavit and changed its name into months. In simpler terms, its been 8 good months since I arrived at Ekiti state and my way of life has gotten an exponential upgrade. Firstly, I stopped chasing after skirty humans. I mean my infatuation of the opposite sex have reduced to a real bishop's level. Secondly, I set up some sport betting centers in the suburb of Ado Ekiti with the aid of the money in my bank account and everything was really going smoothly until my encounter with one silly officer of the Special Anti Robbery Squad of the Nigerian police. Initially, I already developed a personal irritation towards them after witnessing how most of them go about harrassing and embarrassing some members of the public all in the name of catching yahoo boys. And I've already asked a brother of mine who is studying Law to be ready to help me out, if incase I got involved with any of them in the future. After several months, I was beginning to think I'll never get the chance to encounter them until that very day. I was at the bank to cashout the winnings of one of my customers on that fateful afternoon. Every dress-able part of my body was claded in the latest Gucci brand. My hairstyle refused to change so it was still in the Afro shape and blackily coiled. After waiting several minutes for my turn, I eventually succeeded in withdrawing the money from my account. I began to march fast towards the bikeman that brought me to the Bank. But on the way, I caught a glimpse of a husky looking man claded in a black Sars uniform eyeing me as I walk towards the bikeman. "oga, your money na double o..." The bike man stated the moment he turned on the ignition of his bike. "no worry.... I will settle you wella....just drive make we comot for...." "get down from that bike now!" I was interrupted by that command. I turned my head sideways and I saw the Sars guy approaching me with his rifle clutched to his hands. Determined to prove naughty, I acted nonchallantly, pretending to ignore his command but he roared again. "are you deaf!" That sounded more like a command than a question. " I said get down!" He added with a strong tone. "me?" I asked hitting my chest with my right palm prolonging my ignorant act. "no. Your ancesstors..." He replied angrily as he stopped just few distance from me and the bike. "but oga police, my ancesstors are in their....." "keep quiet!... You think am here for joke?" He queried in a standard manner which should have gotten me scared and nervous on any other day or circumstances but I was able to continue in an aplomb manner because of my determination to show people like him that not every nut is crackable. "am also not here for joke oga....I came here for something else...." I said as I slowly alighted from the bike. The bikeman, after letting me to finish my alightment from his bike, zoomed off without waiting for his money. I smiled inwardly at his cowardice and mentally prepared myself to face whatever it is that this ill-trained officer wants to throw at me. "then what are you here for? If not to take what doesn't belong to you..." He stated easily in refrence to the reply I gave him before the bikeman took off. He was probably expecting me to say something, but I knew better. So I remained in my silent mode. After studying my comfortable silent mode for a few seconds, he threw me the question I've been longing from him since the interrogation began. "are you not a yahoo boy?" He asked. "me?" I asked with a wryly look. "Do I look like a yahoo boy to you?" I asked and he clenched his fist together trying to subdue the anger boiling inside him. "then what are you?" He asked still with a furious tone. "ofcos am a Yoruba boy ...my name is...." "did I ask of your name? Eh look here Mr man, if you don't coperate well, you won't like where you will find yourself o. So I'm telling you for your own interest to do normal and there won't be any problem. Your mates know how to avoid getting into trouble with us, so before I take any action on you, you better wise up!" He paused then quickly added. "you understand?." He asked pulling his ear. "ofcos.... I do...." I replied. "good....so what next?" "I don't know o..." "shebi you just said you understand?" he questioned, obviously getting irritated at my infatilism. "yes, and I mean, what I understand is the English language you used in speaking to me, and not the contents of your statement." He fumed with anger and I could see his lips shaking angrily after I ended my statement. He calmed down after some minutes and dragged me to another area behind a shop beside the roadside. "look here....I know say you want to prove say you're wise and stubborn but trust me, I've handled people like you from the past and I know how to get you to start begging me for mercy....." He wiped the sweat that just trickled to his lips and continued. "now tell me before I lose my temper.....since when have you been in the game?" "what game?" I asked feigning a confused expression. "don't you fvcking play games with me..." He said in a querulous tone as he pulled me by the polo of my shirt so he was now starring directly in my eyes. "oga how can I play games with you when we're not even friends nor related?.....besides, I don't even know the game you're talking about.... Na Mortal Kombat or Temple.....?" Before I could spell H.I.V, his rocky palm had connected with my face in a heavy way which nearly sent me to the ground, but thanks to my gym sessions, I was able to remain standing. "oga...oga..." I cried out. "wetin I do now? Why you dey slap me na...oga?" "keep shut!" He thundered angrily." you think I dey play with you? You dey craze? You dey..." "but Oga, I no do any..." "I SAID KEEP QUIET...!" He barked. "Now give me your wallet." He said and I complied slowly. "oga....this is unfair o...wetin I do now...." I pleaded as he continued ransacking my wallet. Few seconds later, he smiled and returned my wallet to me after he had tucked the 30k he took from it inside his tight jean. "that 30k is for your fine payment for, number one, delaying a police officer, refusing to obey commands and so on. If you don't want anymore trouble, just turn around and go home. Next time, you should know better than trying to prove smart to a Sars officer." Having said that, he patted me on the back, with a devilish grin covering his devilish face and began to walk away. I swung into action immediately as I quickly brought out my Samsung 7 from my breäst pocket and quickly checked the just recorded event and it was still recording. With a smarmy smile on my face, I cried out his name into my phone just before he was about to disappear from sight. "officer Oseji Thompson!" That got his attention and he turned back abruptly. "just go home kid, I'm done with you..." He replied after taken a few steps backward. "you mean done with robbing me of my money and time?" I fired back confidently. "yes, and if care is not taken, I'll take the rest. Or won't you ever learn?" He question rhetorically with a fussed eyebrow. "actually, am a fast learner, and am happy to tell you that, your days as a police officer are numbered." I then paused to raise my phone up and waved it at him. "With this, I can send you to eternity in prison....We see in court soon." I watched with keen interest as he became jiltery in the space of seconds. Then I switched on my Usain Bolt mode and began running away. *** "good! With this evidence against him, am sure we can terminate his call as a police officer." That was the voice of my brother. Quadri Olaniran, a soon to be Barrister, after I'd sent him the recordings. Few weeks after that, A once Sergeant Oseji Thompson suddenly became a full-time tenant in cell based on the evidence I provided and other witnesses. **** "ok bro. Be expecting you o. Bye" That was Jide's voice bidding me farewell at the end of the call. "hmmm...." I sighed loudly and rested my back on the bed inside my room. Jide had called to inform me that Favour (the lady Jide used in duping me at my home town) had given birth to a bouncing baby boy and that Blessing, his formal fiancee had promised to rain down hell and fire on both of them during the naming ceremony accusing Jide of betraying and breaking her heart. And me being the only friend of his that Blessing always respected and obeyed, he wanted me to come down to Abeokuta to help him pacify the angry Blessing and I had no choice than to accept his request. But this quest also begs for the question, can I really quench the anger in Blessing? I knew everything of how this lady really suffered with Jide when he had nothing. Days when she would lie to her parents just to get food inside Jide's hungry stomach. Or days when she will sell her jewelries just so Jide won't die of hunger and not to talk of days when she won't sleep until Jide comes back home. And now, what Jide could use as a reward for all her sacrifices was to räpe and impregnate another woman, even though he agreed to marry the latter, but is that a proper reward for the former? If it is for Favour, am sure that isn't the type of reward Blessing was looking forward to from him. To sledge hammer the long story short, the day of the naming eventually arrived and I embarked on a journey to Abeokuta after being away for 9months. It was what happened thereafter in Abeokuta that made me to believe that this notion is true afterall. 'Many are mad, but only few are roaming the streets'. And just when I thought have seen the end of my troubles, little did I know that they were just warming up. T.B.C. |
Well, the reason for the delayment(error) of this update was because death struck in my family again. He took away a precious Jewel from us. A vibrant young man who had laboured all his life to achieve his dreams, but unfortunately, just 3weeks remaining for him to get his Call-to-bar summon, death took him away. He was a former president of Ifelaw @IFE University. He's suppose to clock 30 on the 19th of this month and to get his Call-to-bar on the 21st of this month also when he would be finally be able to wear the wig and gown he'd laboured so hard for but all death could do was to snatch him from us at such a prime time. 8 good years of studying Law just vanished into thin air. Tears*. He left behind, A father and two Mothers and we his siblings. Well, R.I.P my brother, Quadri Oladimeji Olaniran. Darous will forever miss you. And to you death, well continue o...be killing good people and be avoiding the bad ones, maybe you are scared of them ni o, ah no know...anyway don't worry, I promise you one day, nemesis will catch up with you. And Karma,(a b!tch) like you will join him in rendering you powerless. St*pid fool! Below is a picture of him.

Actually I did not read the post
but I think the girl has no
right to beat up her boyfriend
in public. Maybe they should
report the matter to their
village elders but if the
neighbour refuse to pay his
rent they should just kill the
landlord and forget about the
missing car. thats all i have to
say. thanks for reading |
