Radoillo: Not true. The current name is Obuga. You won't find anyone other than Hebrew wannabes calling it Obu-Gad.
As regards your link and onyxes, the writer says they reportedly have Gad written on them in old Hebrew. 'Reportedly'. The writer hasn't seen the onyxes, apparently.
I wish he had; that would give more weight to his words. I need to see these onyxes. Why doesn't anyone seem to have a bleeding picture? I need to see it! Then I need to hear what an archaeologist or a geologist can tell us about how old they are. And what a Hebrew scholar has to say about the authencity of the inscriptions.
There are such things as hoaxes, my friend. Every claim has to be checked out and verified.
It's not a 'hoax' website it's an Israeli News network

macof: Radoillo already corrected the fallacy about the name "Obu-Gad" do u need to see his post again?
you are the mad man here, coming all the way from God knows where to make ridiculous claims, not even one has been found to be true...including the bold
And I suppose you know more about Igbo all the way from Kenya or is it Ethiopia you said you from here's the insane calling me mad
" In May 1997, the ancient stone throne of Gad with a paleo-hebrew script was found in Igboland by an Israeli govt delegate under Netanyahu."
macof: obviously I know the meaning of the word "report"...I don't need this
But certainly you need this.. Reportedly: according to what some say (used to express the speaker's belief that the information given is not necessarily true).
Apply this definition to this ..." the discovery in the area of an onyx stone reportedly bearing the name "Gad""
the Igbo Jews gave the report, but obviously an untrue report...otherwise the stone would be made public immediately it was discovered to have "Gad" inscribed on it..till now, that Stone is Unknown
And how do you know that it was the Igbo who gave the report? the prime minster sent the Jews done their in igbo land and the Jews were the ones who gave the report not the Igbo. It was the Israelites who went that discovered that and reported it. And yes your a mad Yoruba man

The Israel news would not have reported it if it was not true, they would of went and see it for themselves first.

I said at the palace at OBU-Gad why? Because OBU-Gad is the current name for the place so of course I am going to call it OBU-Gad, I've been to Nigeria many times and I have many Igbo friends so yes all the way from Ethopia
You should not the bold...meaning the stone is still very mysterious and hasn't been seen to be what Igbo Jews claim Yet we haven't seen this mysterious stone in public found in the "area". What area are they even talking about?
And report:
re·port rəˈpôrt/ verb 1. give a spoken or written account of something that one has observed, heard, done, or investigated.

And here is the meaning of bolstered
bol·ster ˈbōlstər/ verb past tense: bolstered; past participle: bolstered support or strengthen; prop up.

The area is the palace at OBU-Gad, and I have seen some of you questions your just a mad Yoruba Man, Yoruba are known for hating Igbo people, and for the Igbo to be from Israel that would mean that the Yoruba were wrong this whole time and they went against God's people, your a Yoruba you know nothing about the Igbo
macof: This is so pathetic. I read ur link and it's only a claim by an Igbo Jew If such stone existed why are there no pictures anywhere? Why have Aguleri people not come out to back up the claim of the stone's existence?

Claim by an Igbo Jew? No this site is Israel News.
Radoillo: There was a paper I saw a couple of years back that deals with some questions raised by this 'Gad' inscription. I haven't seen it since, but it did make a case which isn't difficult to follow.
First, the Biblical Eri lived well before the Hebrews adopted the Semitic alphabet. So, assuming that they were writing anything at the time, there was no way they were using anything like the so-called 'Paleo-Hebrew inscription' that I have seen. Simple point, really.
Second, since no similar 'Paleo-Hebrew inscription' is known from Israel, there is no way really to prove that the Aguleri 'Gad' is anything but Gibberish.
These onyx stones, what are they? You have pictures? I want to have a look.
Here is a good source of information this is Israeli news it talks about the onyx stone of Gad:
Ihuomadinihu: Pls can you repost or re open a new thread for this topic. I want to have serious contributors ,scholars and researchers from the igbo ethnic group on it.
God is the same today, tomorrow and forever after all, unlike before when the contest was really between god and baal today we have hundreds of religion. This has been a major source of confusion. Why can't he just solve the problem same way he did before...unless of course he is a lazybone. Here is what we will do; First we will make a pile of wood, secondly we top it up with water, thirdly we pray, dance or do whatever that would move our god to action and Finally if our god bring down fire from heaven and consume our sacrifice we win! Congratulations! Now go kill the losing teams(1 Kings 18:40). Simple! . BBC, CNN, Al Jazeera and all major medias would be watching, Billions would be watching! we use a large stadium, we invite representatives from all religions, thats all!
I miss the good old days when god will rain fire on those who even look at him, the days he splits seas, consume sacrifices. All these stop since the invention of cameras. Is he now shy of the cameras, who did this to god?
ezeagu: You mean, why would white supremacy say that a people were 'caucasoid' and fair skinned in the middle east, until they migrated to West Africa after being cursed by the most high where they became backward heathens revelling in gods curses until the British came and revealed their 'origin' which they didn't have the competency to find out on their own?
Why would they say that?
That's weried the Israelites migrated to Africa? Throughtout the bible it showed the israelites came from Africa then to the promised land? Cursed? What curse? You mean the curse of ham? No where in the bible did it say that ham was cursed with black skin or any skin color for that matter. Besides if Ham was black they would have to accept that Moses was black, because the sons of ham were the Egyptians, and if ham was black that would mean that the Egyptains were black and the only way Moses can disguise himself as an Egyptain is if he was black also So, the Ham-theory is messed up and already have a bunch of holes It's funny thought, the bible says that white skin & blonde hair was the curse. It was the curse of leprosy according to the book of Leviticus
ezeagu: Oh, okay, so we're telling you as people who have a relatively firm grasp on Igbo history and culture that this theory is nonsense. Igbo people migrated, like the rest of West Africans, from populations around the great lakes region. They are ancient and much older than Israel or Judea.
All I'm sayings is that it would make sense cause every time the Israelites got in trouble they would flee to Africa, so why not? Even Jesus Fled to Africa as a child. So their must be some lost Israel tribes in Africa
Umm lol? Why would white supremacist say that blacks are the chosen people? Wouldn't white supremacist want to make everyone believe that whites are the chosen race? Cause you know chosen means 'superior'.
ezeagu: Actually, they weren't, missionaries and colonial governments started the theory to justify their colonisation of the area, i.e the Igbo people colonised the area so we're carrying on a tradition of subjugating people in the area. The theory is white-supremacist, they denigrate Igbo culture by calling the Igbo "idol" worshippers and people who angered god, hence slavery. Keep the shi t.
Radoillo: It's hard to keep up with you, bruv. First, Igbos belong to the tribe of Gad, now they belong to the tribe of Ephraim? Let's keep the story straight, shall we?
According to some website the Igbo takes up the majority of the tribe of Gad, while the rest are like Ephraim, Issacher, etc. Don't blame me. Blame your people. They're the one who started the hebrew-Igbo theory, I just went and researched it.
Radoillo: Which Hebrew scripts? The one curious-looking inscriptions which were once claimed to be Hebrew writings have been proven to be a hoax.
Can you post pictures of these Igbo stars of David, and prove that they were used by pre-Colonial Igbo?
Actually this point is destroying your case, not making it. Abraham, the ancestor of the Hebrews belong to a much later age than 3000 BC. If we were here by 3000 BC, then we are most definitely not Hebrews.
What Egyptian Model? What Egyptian Model?
Make up your mind. Are we pre-Abrahamic Hebrew (3000BC, remember?), or are we from the city of David (which the Hebrews didn't capture until about 1000BC, two thousand years later?)
I've seen pictures of this so-called paleo-Hebrew, and it has been dismissed as a hoax.
You have pictures of this throne and this writing? Eri built this throne and wrote that? Bro, Hebrews of Eri's time (the Biblical Eri, that is) wrote nothing in any Hebrew script. They hadn't adopted the Semitic alphabet at the time. If they wrote anything, it would be in Egyptian hieroglyphics.
Which coins have the star of David on them? Anyway, let's assume some coins actually do have the Star of David inscribed on them. Weak-ass 'evidence', still...if I've ever heard one. You might as well say we are Arabs because of the Arabic writing on some of our notes.
Why had Israel confirm that Igbo are Ephraim? The israeli government must have done some research.
