If you play ordinary Five side before you will find it very hard to use moments like this to call a player ESCORT. Except on a very rare occasion would any player in the position of RLC would have out pace Dacoure whose teammate was with the ball. It is just a normal thing in football, if we go back in time searching for this kind of instances,I bet you even most of our favourites will be found wanting, so that's why it is good to always call out players on their inability to make use of the ball not missing a tackle or a runner. You can never find me calling Jorginho or any player an escort, it senseless in my view.

There’s a reason why we started conceding since RLC. If you cant make use of the ball on your feet, Atleast be useful somewhere else. I showed two instances last night not only that one. Here we could see RLC unconscious of his surroundings. Little 2 secs off like this can be dangerous to any team.

Nateevs here is the gif of that Doucoure-RLC buildup, though if Iwobi finds Doucoure, James also was not helping by playing him on.

Being slow when chasing players is not exhausted. RLC was keeping pressure off him all game but Barkley was somewhat wasteful causing him to have to chase Everton players after ball breaks down

They could’ve easily scored when RLC was on the pitch as well, they got into the game which is usual as we didn’t utilize our chances.

They were not clinical enough many times RLC was escorting iwobi or Doucoure. They only scored through the free kick though I don’t know what TT plan was to isolate the midfield with Barkley at CM

RLC's highlights were in the second half of the 18/19 season under Sarri, when he was one of our best attackers alongside Hazard. It's a shame that injury happened, and in an inconsequential friendly too.

I hope he’s given a chance outside of Chelsea where he can play in midfield 3 like under Sarri never in this pivot.
