Italy 2006 was no luck That was their best generation of players in a while (del Piero, totti, inzaghi, pirlo, iquinta, zambrotta, Rossi etc) They were the most organized team Italians usually win on merit Matter of fact they're hardly lucky |

BlackManta: Juventus were Seria A champions in 2006 before they were relegated due to match fixing scandal.
Canavaro won Seria A title in 2006 before it was stripped away. He was named Best Player in Italy that year.
Hazard failed to challenge for PFA player of the year, which Salah eventually won. He failed to help Chelsea to a top 4 finish. He failed in Champion League. He failed to win Chelsea Player of the Year. He failed to make PFA team of the year.
You think all these failures will be wiped away with world cup trophy
Sorry bro.
Cannavaro was a beast in Seria A in 2006. He was fantastic in his league before winning world cup.
You cant be poor in both league and champion league and win balon dor ahead of Messi and Ronaldo who were dominant in La Liga and Champion League respectively.
Hazard's 2016/17 season is a very poor compared to Canavaro's season when he became world best.
At least Kane could win golden boot but he cant beat Ronaldo and Messi with a trophyless season with Tottenham.
But dont mention Hazard, he is behind Messi and Ronaldo.
You guys are funny.
At first it was Neymar for Balondor. Neymar got knocked out in world cup and now the song has changed to Hazard and Kane for Balondor.
You people are funny.
Ribery won treble in 2013 but a trophyless Ronaldo became world best.
Iniesta and Xavi won world cup in 2010 and yet Messi became world best.
Wesley Sneijder won treble and became a world cup finalist in 2010 and yet he could not win world best.
Manuel Neur won world cup in 2014 and yet he could not beat Ronaldo to world best.
And now y'all thinking that Kane and Hazard will beat Messi/Ronaldo to world best
I laugh in Swahili... In a worldcup yr ur worldcup performance is what matters most other league what ever are not to relevant Else Romario wouldn't have won over Baggio or even Bergkamp in 94 Or Luther Mathias winning over Maradona in 90 Even Ronaldo 9 winning over Zidane in 2002 Ribery, Sniedier didn't win the world cup Germans usually don't have an outstanding individual talent Winning the worldcup gives you a chance De Brynne, Hazard, Kane all have a chance at Balon D'or this yr They also performed well in the leagues And yes Hazard won the FA cup |

I tip Belgium for greatness but I am not writing off France Brazil is no match for the French team This is a team that scores and wins without too much effort They have not even played at high tempo yet The French team is the most balanced of all the teams in this tournament Attack, mid, def all score A in my book The Begium/France winner would most likely win the cup By the way, nuisance Giroud up front is on of the reasons they are hard to beat Tho very lousy he has the best link up play of any striker in world football currently |

Jeferious: Did you say that I used one match to make my statement? Go and check. Quintero has been their best player so far in all three matches before the England match. It didn't come from me- It came from the commentator in their last game against England.
And saying that Columbia would have won if James played is the same as saying that Argentina should win France because Messi is in the squad. As intelligent and great as some of these players are, individual brilliance means little in the world cup. Time and time again, it has been proven that the whole is greater than the sum of its parts. And this current England is the most efficient English side that I have seen in a very long time. Even Lampard and Gerrard's England weren't this efficient. Southgate really did a nice job on his team. I said based on what was played that night a James inclusion would have made the difference for Colombia, this is a fact Quintero is no match for James at least for now, this should not even be up for debate |

Jeferious: Did you watch the match? If you did, did you notice Quintero Did you see his moves on the ball?
The way you are going about James, I think you are mistaking him for Messi. I've watched James play... from Porto to Madrid to Bayern, and I can tell you that Quintero is giving him a run for his money with his moves on the ball You're using one match to compare the 2? That they lost tells you all you need to know The difference BTW big and small teams is Quality. That's why big teams pay alot for quality players James may not do 2much on the ball but he is quality, REAL QUALITY Quintero is not his equal in this regard You can see the difference in their last 2group games compared to the England game With James there Falcao would not have been that isolated. His creativity would have destroyed England for sure Atleast based on what was played that night Football is not about 2many movement How quality is your input is what matters That's why a lazy player like Ozil would still be sought after by many top teams |

Are you really sure you've watched James play for the past 4 yrs at all?? He's their best player by a mile Based on the game played his absence and Colombia players initial lack of ambition was just the difference BTW Colombia winning and lossing |

They started the rubbish of building the Brazilian team around Neymar in 2014,giving him free reign to not only behave, but play as he likes;now they and the poor Brazilian people, who also stupidly bought into the hype, are stuck with him. Neymar has rather than contribute, stiffled the Brazilian team.I haven't even seen any positive impact he has made, rather than his constant childish showboating and diving up and down. Though I am a lover of Brazil due to the way they have always played their beautiful football, but since Neymar came into the team in 2014 with his antics and showboating,i began hating the team and wanting them to lose, whenever Neymar plays. debaj10: Americans developed america. men built their homes, fought off bandits, grew their crops, raised cattle, had families and prospered. but also died in the thousands each year- from disease, snake bites, Indians, bandits, accidents, weather…
because they learnt endurance, they refused to allow politicians have their way ; they had to be part of the process. but to get there, many, many more died needless deaths. then came the modern 'freedom fighters'- Rosa parks. martin Luther, Malcolm x; and hundreds of thousands of members to their cause.
in today's world, america has more activism than the entire African continent. who can ask the south Africans what happened to aluta continua? what of the Arab spring in all those north African nations? here, we look for a messiah to win matches and solve problems on our streets. the irony? our ancestors lived in the same way those american pioneers did.
so what went wrong? and more importantly- what will you and I do about it? because clearly, everything from the ruling class has failed. is it time for the common man to rise up to the challenge?
what will you sacrifice for the next 2/5/9 years, to get a great nation? what will you give up for 24/7 power, running tap water, pipeborne gas, tarred roads, free, quality healthcare, smooth roads and debris-free, covered drains? let me put it another way: what kind of investment are you willing to make to have a truly great nation? international football? dstv? time? money? energy? betting? nairaland?
you choose. How can anyone in his or her right senses sacrifice anything to remain a British slave in the Nigga area colony?.... .......too many stupid black people |

I understand how this might apply in a boyfriend girlfriend relationship but in a committed relationship like marriage, it's best you operate with trust cos if if everyone keeps waiting for results/reality scenarios etc, to get things done, most marriages will fail woefully.
Still on ur line of logic. Do u really think Christianity as we know it will still be around if we all waited on God to show us results first? I very much doubt it. We are still Christians cos we trust and believe God to be real not necessarily cos we are getting all that we deserve from him. If it is kaftan call it Kaftan. If is Babariga call it babariga and so on
All those words like native and traditional are insulting and should be avoided.
If at all anyone is calling my clothes native let it not be ME
I do not see Europeans or anyone else calling THEIR OWN clothes "NATIVE"
NATIVE was a very derogatory word during the colonial era indicating a superiior>inferior relationship.
Many are not aware and just go along .
For me I am wearing a Buba and Sokoto and that is what it should be called not "NATIVE". If you insist on that then those words will enter the English dictionary just like Fedora, kaftan, dashiki, poncho, sombrero, etc Semantics doesn't matter No need for drama Getting the point I made is what matters Substance over theatrics is the code for the wise |

boldking: As I watched the Argentina and Iceland match today and wondered why there were no black players in the Argentinean team when other South American teams had black or biracial players, I remembered a conversation I had last year. It was while I was on a cruise from Florida to the Grand Cayman Islands in the Caribbean. Between an Argentinean doctor and myself, who had walked up to me during lunch one day and struck up a conversation with me. There was no hiding the attraction. We had bonded much to the chagrin of her three Argentinean friends. On the deck of the ship that day, she kept going on about how she loves black men and looks forward to traveling so she can meet them. I asked her. "Don't you have black people in Argentina?" She said with a matter of fact candour. "No. Long time ago, after slavery, we killed them all." I was taken aback. She smiled. And continued. "Very bad. I am ashamed of my people. It was very systematic though. Very well thought out. First they forced most of the men to fight for Argentina against Paraguay. They knowingly sent them into battles that were poorly planned so that the Paraguay army will do for them what they couldn't themselves do. Kill the blacks. Most of them died there. The remaining of them they forced to live in this province were there was a plague. A disease that the government refused to curb so that it can also do for them what they couldn't do. Kill the blacks. The refused to set up hospitals, clinics, adequate shelter, food outlets, nothing. They created the best environment for the disease to thrive. It killed the rest of the men that had survived the war. The darker you are, the higher the chance they will send you to that place to live or to the war to die. The lighter skinned women they forced them to sleep with the white men, so that their children are biracial, then they forced the children when they grew older to sleep with white men, so that the blackness of the skin of the children became whiter and whiter until there was no longer any visibly black people seen. It was so bad that blacks fled to Chile, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil and even Paraquay where they were better treated even though not as well as they should be treated as human beings deserving full equality. Atleast those ones did not want to kill them and accepted to give them protection and a means of livelihood. As a matter of fact in Chile, there was a city called Arica where Black people were so accepted and respected that in the 1700s two black free man, one called Anzuréz were elected mayors. But the white colonial masters from Spain came six months later and nullified the elections, they were afraid of other cities giving black people too many rights. But the blacks who had found succour did not complain, they sent word for others to flee Argentina and come join them. Afterall what was cancelled elections compared to certain death?" Then she went silent as though trying to replay the magnitude of the crime in her mind again. Then she said it in a sombre tone in order to drive it home to me. "The ones the Argentineans did not kill through war or disease, and rape and impregnate, fled the country and ultimately we got rid of the blacks." I listened in rising sorrow. She continued academically. "So although they abolished slavery in 1815 in Argentina, it continued until 1853, after that the main preoccupation of the leaders was how to get rid of the black slaves and their descendants. Our president who ruled us from 1868 to 1874, Domingo Faustino Sarmiento, wrote in his diary in 1848, this was long before he became president and slavery ended that - 'In the United States… 4 million are black, and within 20 years will be 8 million…. What is to be done with such blacks, hated by the white race?' - It shows that he was already thinking of how to eliminate black people before he became President and when he became President, he succeeded." "Didn't the world say anything?" "No. They ignored it. I am sure most of them wanted to do the same thing but failed. At that time, they admired them. I remember when I will go to Brazil as a child, my father's friend will say in disgust as he looked at the black Brazilians - we should have had your guts and finished them off. All of them. Make Brazil white just like Argentina." "And the Europeans?" She laughed. "It is an open secret, just like King Leopold and his genocide in Congo. No one talks about it, but they know about it. Atleast the older ones do. The younger ones not so much. Why do you think all the Nazis ran to Argentina after World War 2?" I was silent. She continued. "Because it was the perfect place for the most evil racists in history to live." Then she looked out to the infinitely blue sea around the ship and sighed audibly before she continued. " Sadly, to some extent, it still is welcoming and accomodating of racial hatred. We took the Tango from the African slaves and made it our own. In Argentina, not one person will tell you the true history of that dance. They don't want to associate it with Africa. In fact if you ask them about black people in Argentina they will tell you that there has never been black people in Argentina. They teach them in schools. They rewrite the history. They make it all white. And as I said it is all underneath the surface. They never come out and say we hate black people. Argentina is only for whites or anything like that. They have just fixed the country to only be for white people." I looked at her friends, Argentineans like her, who were lounging on the chairs on the deck, clad in their tiny bikinis, drinking pina coladas and smiling. She followed my gaze and then turned to me. "Don't be fooled by all those smiles, scratch the surface and you will see that all they want is for you to disappear." Toronto Nice write Deep in the heart of every non black person they want all black people eradicated It is a genetic instinct, tho many try to fight the thought (some overcome it) This is a fact many Black people have not understood yet |
