Family › Re: 5 Reasons To Re-think If Marrying A God-fearing Man Is Really For You! by TheEqualizer: 5:02pm On May 21, 2015 |
Can you define 'God' and 'God fearing' in the context of the universe?
Or you mean a man who has the fear of the unknown/elephant-in-the-room based on his belief system and the guidelines/rules set by the belief system? I believe you should know that man can have a good heart without fearing anyone or a supreme being. And how everyone deals with the supreme being is subjective based on your understanding of the universe and human existence.
Even the 'God' concept doesn't doesn't necessitate 'fear', it's a concept about the supernatural, and specific rules to enable co-existence among man, other living things/organisms, and his environment. |

Ihuomadinihu: Nigerians were all going around naked. The oldest fabrics in Africa were only found in Mali,Burkina faso and the South east, that explains the people that were going around naked before they learnt how to weave clothes from Malians and Igbos. Ha! No, Ibos were the only nak3d ones. Others have been wearing clothes since time immemorial. And this thread also proves that. Or do you want me to post the pictures of other tribes in Nigeria, in 1870, and compare them to this one and other pictures of Ibos? |

Ihuomadinihu: Slavery is as old as man. People all over the world have enslaved and sold others. Trans atlantic slavery is just a recent memory/record of slavery. Just trying to correct the impression that blacks are semi primitive cos of slavery. Whites have sold whites, blacks have sold blacks. Unfortunately, the Western media keeps pushing black on black slavery above the rest. Is that the reason why Ibos royals were nak3d in 1870 when other Africans were wearing clothes? Stop telling us tales, Ibos were primitive but thank Jehovah for the civilisation of Ibos. If not, Ibos would still be nak3d with communal cannibalistic feasts as daily ritual. With human meat being shared around. |

KoloOyinbo: You are correct. He is unlikely to be PM.
His job will be to 'reinvent' the Labour Party by moving it significantly towards the centre. This will take MORE than one term to do. Leftist policies are very much out of favour as indicated by recent election results. Even the Trade Unions recognise this and are now moderate rather than fanatical leftist.
In his position (not that I would want to wallow in the filth and corruption of British politics) I would be unsure if I wanted this job. It could well be the proverbial 'poisoned chalice'. He doesn't have what it takes to reinvent Labour. Too much to the centre and he favours middle class over working class (Labour's traditional base). If they can change the name of the party and redefine what they are about, then he might have a chance...and I don't see that happening. Not just him, Labour don't have anyone else. Jarvis is out. Burnham looks like the best bet but he is also not a threat to the Tories. |

Haha!
Mixed race guy with a very white blonde should make an almost white baby.
Too dull, uncharismatic, posh, flat, and empty to be a PM. Not an Obama-lite at all, Obama towers above him in everything. And for being caught while editing his own Wikipedia killed the little credibility he has.
Nevertheless, he has the blessings of Lord Mandelson and Tony Blair to revive 'New Labour' but his stance on ignoring the working class for the middle class definitely will rock the Labour base and the unions. He has no chance and Labour will only pick him if they want to start competing with LIb Dem at scrapping bottom-crumbs. I see Tories starting a dynasty, Labour has no future. Dying fast in England and dead in Scotland, time to change the name of the party.
BTW, stop hating, he is just as British as he is Nigerian...British Nigerian. |
Foreign Affairs › Re: Tony Blair Wants Chuka Umunna To Be The Next Labour Leader by TheEqualizer: 2:13pm On May 10, 2015 |
cap28: I am Igbo so this has nothing to do with tribalism or jealousy, I am simply stating the truth, I live in the UK and I know how whites who make up 90% of the population think of black people, Umunna may be half white but in their eyes he is not a son of the soil and therefore will never be accepted by them as a leader. Obama was successful in the US because blacks and Hispanics overwhelmingly voted for him and they constitute a sizeable proportion of the US population, UK blacks (who are likely to vote for Umunna in overwhelming numbers) only make up about 3% of the british population so black people in the UK are insignificant as far as politics is concerned here in the UK.
The british labour party are now so desperate to get back into office that they are now clutching at straws, it doesn't matter how much they compare Umunna to Obama it is not going to convince staunch white English racists to vote in a half black british man as their future PM. https://pbs.twimg.com/media/CEpEvwjWEAAWxL9.jpg

Ihuomadinihu: How many times did i write a European? So far,you 've not been able to convince anyone that Igbo attire is UnAfrican. Following your analogy, coral beads and buttons are unAfrican. It's a pity you can't say any stuff with writing mental unstability. I don't expect someone that spells Ihuomadinihu as Ihuomdinihu to be Sane! You are the deranged person here! Ihu, learn how to read. This your love and fascination for me is getting stronger by day. |

somegirl1: Right after you prove that the attire in question is a European shirt. Convince me. And please go straight to the point. . If you can read, you will see that I already the proof to @phut yesterday. Then again you can't expect someone who writes 'a European' instead of 'an European' to be the sharpest tool in the shed. Another 'ihumodinihu' with mental retardation. Again, TheEqualizer: It's a an European styled shirt. This is a Thomas Pink shirt design below (compare the design with what the Ibo groom is wearing and you'll see that they're basically the same):

Also, look at the cufflinks. Are they also African?
I don't have a traditional attire. I'm a black man and I don't do tribal identity. |

Hahahaha! Let me help you add the only black mayor in London. Adedamola Aminu, the Mayor of Lambethhttps://www.nigerianwatch.com/images/stories/aminus%20inuaguration%20in%20his%20gown%20ii.jpgFirst elected as a councillor in 2006, Councillor Aminu was elected deputy mayor last year but has been acting as mayor since February this year following the unfortunate death of Mayor Mark Bennett. At a ceremony attended by other councillors, members of the Nigerian community and representatives of the high commission, he took the oath of office yesterday. A lecturer in business and computing at South Thames College, Councillor Aminu represents Tulse Hill ward and was first elected a councillor in 2006. Councillor Aminu holds bachelor's degree in business studies from London Southbank University, a diploma in marketing from the Chartered Institute of Marketing, a Masters degree in marketing from Greenwich University and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education. |

Ihuomadinihu: You are just going back to your original defintion of African attire. It must not be produce in Africa but the natives must be associated with it. Then Europeans have to start walking around nak3d because cotton isn't European. Stop going around circles and make sense for once. Where the fabric is from is irrelevant. The style is the crux of the matter. Comprehende? |

Ihuomadinihu: You are not being coherent. Indians used to tie wrapper, does it make it unafrican. Indian clothes evolved from tying wrapper,so that is invalid. I juxtaposed the wrapper with the hat. Both were used in Nigeria. Both designs are African, eventhough they are currently imported. You don't have to go back to insults. You truly have a penchant for being verbally aggressive even when you are wrong and unreasonable? Post pictures of Indian tying wrappers the African way. |

Phut: Stop fibbing and tell us what your traditional attire is or which one you identify with.
A black man with no traditional attire, no ethnic identity and who chooses not to identify with any ethnic group will not give a rats arse about what is African or Unafrican, which is what you have been all about on this thread. Also, most people do not wear Changi with a cuff link. Most times, the sleeve falls some where between the elbow and wrist and is loose. But some of our traditional attires are sometimes worn with "cover" shoes not sandals. Does that make what their ensemble Unafrican? You know what, lemme back up a bit. Are sandals with buckles, African? Did we have/make buckles back then or did we just wear slippers? I'm sorry, nwaanyị, I don't identify with anything apart from being a freeborn black man. Just an nwoke eziokwu, a real ndi ala. What do you identify with and what clan are you from? |
