Our world today is besieged by the scary CORONAVIRUS; COVID-19, a term just a couple of years ago was never heard of by almost 80% of the world’s population. In our time of taking care of our loved ones and societies, we should not discard very simple pieces of glaring information that could help us look into WHAT’s REALLY HAPPENING. Many people are not really aware of the term MANDELA EFFECT, this refers to a situation where people vividly remember a situation or an event, but years down the line that exact memory changes drastically. There are many examples of this effect, some could be laughed off, and some could be looked into, but the crux of this piece is based on the term and its relationship to the raging COVID-19 and how it is going to affect humanity. Since the times of Nimrod, to Aleksander of Macedonia Napoleon Bonaparte, and Adolf Hitler, history has always taught us that the ultimate quest of people is POWER AND DOMINATION and they will go to any extent to fulfill this lust, regardless of their moral conscience. Having established the fact of humanity’s lust for power, I will want to believe that the COVID-19 pandemic as being touted in the media is just simply a power play, a power ploy, a power tussle, a power game, it's no more no less than this. It is believed that the Virus originated in Wuhan China, the Chinese authority in all their usual gimmick of hiding and apportioning blame: (typical of any state still on the vestiges of Stalinism), even went as far as sponsoring claims this came from America soldiers. Whether this is true or not, it fits well into how much these powermongers act. Now back to the crux of our topic, the Mandela Effect is one term scholars and people who love humanity should look into, let me shed some light on this; The name "Mandela Effect" began when it was first coined in 2009 by Fiona Broome when she published a website detailing her observance of the phenomenon. Broome was at a conference talking with other people about how she remembered the tragedy of former South African president Nelson Mandela's death in a South African prison in the 1980s. As she began to talk to other people about her memories, she learned that she was not alone. Other people remembered seeing news coverage of his death as well as a speech by his widow. Broome was shocked that such a large mass of people could remember the same event in such detail when it never happened. Encouraged by her book publisher, she began a website to discuss what she called the Mandela Effect and other incidents like it’’. (PLEASE READ UP ON THE MANDELA EFFECT). Naphtali Bennet (former Israeli Prime Minister and the Israeli Defence Minister during the pandemic), released a video on the COVID-19 issue on how to stay safe and all. Please what is the concern of a defense Minister on staying healthy, only if this media touted pandemic is a WEAPON. In his words, he urged people that this disease is more lethal to the elderly and that people should separate from the elderly and provide them with food, but SEPARATE FROM THEM. Please what kills elderly people more than grief and loneliness? My arguments on this are the powers that be are playing to further their agenda on this Mandela effect as part of their domination agenda. If people older than 60 die so quickly due to grief and loneliness, who will verify to us events of the past when we see that our memories don’t match with what’s in the history book/media? Brethren think on this matter and stay woke, men with power will do anything to maintain their hold on power, even to the extent of toying with your childhood memories. Adetaio OTUYEMI. |
The struggle for power and relevancy among people, communities, and nation-states, is as natural and as old as man himself. Condemning an individual or a nation-state for wanting to increase its sphere of influence in my opinion is akin to condemning a human being's right to life. The international media in recent times have been choked with headlines, editorials, and news reports of The Democratic Republic of Korea, otherwise known as North Korea, developing and threatening to use nuclear weapons on its perceived enemies. The DPRK has made it crystal clear to the world that its development of Nuclear weapons and subsequently intercontinental Ballistic missiles (ICBM) is necessary for its survival, and would not hesitate to use such weapons if provoked. The DPRK is fully aware that if it strikes any nation with nuclear weapons, this would simply result in the term known among nuclear powers and a popular Cold War rhetoric known as MAD (Mutually Assured Destruction). Scholars and experts on the situation in the Korean peninsula, believe that North Korea’s bellicosity is to ensure its regime survival, increase its global respect and sphere of influence, be recognized as a regional power, and most importantly let it have a standpoint in which to bargain and negotiate with the west in scaling down or possibly total removal of harsh sanctions slammed against it. Every nation has the right to ensure its survival, be industrialized, and to a degree have somewhat level of influence regionally and on the global stage, reasons why nations have embassies and establish bilateral relations. Economic development is essentially the most important aspect of any country's survival and doing all in its power to ensure that economic progress is indeed a welcome idea by any country even if it is WAR. The Western powers spearheaded by of course “Uncle Sam” (The United States of America) have actually been forced to reckon with and give the DPRK a notion that “they are tough too”. Just as the proverbial “Kare Jini Biri Jini” (dog and baboon soaked in blood) would actually be the case if any Western power or any of its allies try to invade, attack, or by any means undermine the former's sovereignty. The DPRK has had a long history of saying no to interference, from imperialist Japan in the 20th century to the United States during the Korean War of the 1950s and surprisingly the then Soviet Union and China who happen to be its major allies. The North Korean example, should be a typical playbook for strategists and politicians around the World who really want to break the shackle-hold of imperialism and not just pay lip service to it. The idea of any nation believing it has a divine right to dominate another in all aspects is indeed an evil idea and in fact a violation of such nation's sovereignty. Although advocating war and bellicosity by any nation is not the fore-burner of these arguments, but rather take the energy and commitment to be applied to various other positive endeavors. The Nigerian state could be a beneficiary of the strategies employed by the DPRK in actually throwing off the yoke of imperialism or Neo-colonialism as the case may be. Although the strategies by which North Korea is employed to this effect should not necessarily be used by Nigeria, a home-grown idea could be nurtured to this effect. The major lesson to note herein is to actually look inward and rely less on the West for almost everything. The DPRK has “JUCHE” an idea of self–reliance which is followed religiously and forms almost all aspects of its policies. Nigeria is blessed with a natural leadership role in its region by the size, population, GDP levels, military might, recognized intellectual prowess and resilience of its citizens, political stability to some degree, and its emergence as Africa’s largest economy according to available data and statistics could be successful in this noble quest. The Nigerian state could develop a somewhat kind of self-reliant ideology to tackle various Neo-Colonial strategies such as DUMPING (importation of useless, sub-standard, and out-spent goods from the West), meddling into its internal politics, frustrating developmental policies through string-attached loans and other under-hand tactics, covertly sponsoring disgruntled elements against the state, determining ridiculous prices and sometimes frustrating the market for its major exports and a host of nefarious tactics employed in order to ensure the West remains at the better end of the divide. Notably, technology is a major tool by which economic development can be achieved, the North Koreans developed nuclear power by in-house physicists and scientists, why can’t Nigeria also develop remarkable strides in the field of Science and technology? Nigeria cannot continue to tow the downward slope of brain drain and the dearth of “technical know-how” in our science and technology community. The Western powers have been able to easily manipulate their way simply because of the disadvantaged position Nigeria finds itself in terms of technological progress, obsolete technology is shipped over at exorbitant prices, and in most cases, not even the best quality is offered by these Western powers, just in order to maintain its status-quo of being “over-lord”. A candid suggestion to be made to the Nigerian government of the day and subsequent administrations to be at the national helms of affairs is ensuring first of all a sense of patriotism and nationalistic pride, this would further propel innovators and thinkers in various fields to look inward and source out valuable contributions to make the country they so dearly hold in their hearts to progress at a remarkable speed. Furthermore develop curriculum at all levels of education, even at post-graduate levels; to educate on the abundant potentials available in the country and that could be harnessed for national progress. In conclusion, the political class in all their politicking, lobbying, and cat-calling, should identify and develop policies that would steer the nation forward regardless of whatever political party may be in power. In other words, there should be a NIGERIAN PROJECT, which every party in power should seek to propel forward and in doing so communicate effectively with the citizenry the roles both could play in propelling the Nigerian project. Thanks a lot for highlighting this. We really need our people to stop the self hate. Thanks once more, your intelligence is saluted budaatum: |
Na only you talk true for year. The Nostalgia for yesteryears is just an illusion. I was in Sec school in the beginning of the 2000's, that means I still saw the vestiges of 90's students. They looked big and way matured, so did I when I got to Ss3 and the juniors after me. So thanks once more for being factual and realistic here. In fact to further buttress your point, the SS3 now due to their diet and exposure are way smarter, futuristic, could be less respectful but they are more knowledgeable than the past. illicit: |

Is this a feature story or a news story. The writer fused feature article style and news report style, making the story really look out of place. |
The perceived hatred for Fulanis in Nigeria is the handiwork of the media, politicians and to a large extent the Fula elites. Many Southern Nigerians and Northern Nigerian farmers are weary of FULA'S using their cows to destroy crops. The Fulani through cultural groups like Miyetti Allah, should communicate effectively to their Nigerian brothers that there is no Anti Nigerian Fulani conspiracy. The Fulani elites must seriously distance themselves from the violent ones among their people. More efforts must be made to foster peace and socioeconomic cooperation among the different ethnic groups in Nigeria. The fact is we all need each other and as President Buhari always emphasised, WE MUST BE OUR BROTHERS KEEPER. In conclusion many of your historical analysis are apt, but a few are tainted in arrogance and blatant falsehood. An example is the mention of a rudderless Hausa society, that's a false narrative. Haba kilode, as a good Christian you definitely don't need all these. Infact it's too bulky and cumbersome to keep up with these. Remember Christ Jesus taught on serial forgiveness. Who is with out sin should cast the first stone, put your self in the position of a caught sinner, would you like to be constantly vilified ?Namaster: |
This matter is getting too embarrassing Habaaa, every time. Let the authorities find a solution to this menace. |
This matter seff, only God can handle it. As a Christian, he should forgive them. |
Please stop these sorts of disparaging posts. The both instances are different. There are photo ops the C-in-C can be alone okay.. |
