Everyone who loves Nollywood was devastated about by the sudden death of actor Muna Obiekwe. He featured in plenty of Nigerian movies, was a man of many sides and played his movie roles well.

For you who haven’t seen him in action yet; he has starred in so many movies including: Days of Bondage, Dirty Secret, Victim of Love, He Lives in Me, Scaarlet Woman, Love Alone, Destiny Call, Great Betrayal, Blackberry babes

So, now that you have some titles to search for, you can also see the great actor everyone is paying tribute to.
May His soul rest in perfect Peace.

Burning Bridges...... Its a good one!

After seeing the movie ’30 days in Atlanta’, I thought it was so funny that I considered it the funniest Nollywood movie ever but this became a debate after my friends disagreed with me.
Everyone has their own favourite title when it comes to funny Nollywood movies.

So, I want to ask you too: WHAT IS THE FUNNIEST NOLLYWOOD MOVIE YOU HAVE EVER SEEN??

Many industry people and analysts in Nollywood talk about Actress Mercy Johnson with a lot of respect. Ofcourse popularity in this industry doesn't come easy; you either get naked for quick recognition like Maheeda does, or you work as hard as you can to gain recognition through massive public appeal and in Mercy Johnson’s case, it’s the latter.

Infact, when you enter ‘Nigerian actresses’ into a Google search, one of the top searches you will see is; ‘Why Mercy Johnson Is Nigeria's Highest Paid Actress’. Her work ethic is incredible.
She has played roles varying from village champion, mother, corporate woman, Runs girl, city girl to roles of Grandmother. She tells interesting African stories and a movie like ‘Baby Oku in America’ is just hilarious.

This level of versatility can be likened to arguably the most celebrated actress in America; Angelina Jolie and many people have also made this comparison.


So, with all the Successful movies and massive public appeal between these two women, do you think such a comparison is valid?

Do you agree Mercy Johnson is the Angelina Jolie of Nollywood or do you think another actress makes a bigger impression??
