I’ve been thinking about this for years. Morals and discipline used to be something to be proud of and celebrated.
Now criminals are our mentors. Hooliganism sells and the more inhumane you are, the more envious people are of you.
We definitely got it wrong somewhere.

The princes of the powers in the air have been released upon humanity and that's why we are in this mess.
Sadly, it's gonna get worse before everything comes to a close.

Lately, I have found myself asking a question that would have sounded strange a generation ago: Have we lost the ability to feel ashamed when we do something wrong? I am not talking about making honest mistakes because every human being does that. I am talking about the growing tendency to defend, celebrate, or even monetize bad behavior instead of acknowledging it.

More and more, it seems that being caught in a lie, exposed for wrongdoing, or criticized for poor conduct no longer leads to reflection or accountability. Instead, the response is often to attack the person who spoke up, accuse them of being jealous or judgmental, or rally supporters to drown out the criticism. It is almost as if admitting fault has become more embarrassing than the wrongdoing itself.

To be fair, human beings have never been morally perfect. Every generation has had liars, fraudsters, corrupt leaders, and people who abused the trust of others. History is full of examples proving that bad behavior is not unique to our time. What has changed is the environment in which we live. Social media has created a world where attention is a valuable currency, and in many cases, controversy earns more attention than character.

A person who behaves outrageously can gain millions of views overnight, attract followers, secure endorsements, and even build a career from the very conduct that would once have damaged their reputation. When society begins rewarding attention more than integrity, it should not surprise us that some people deliberately choose notoriety over respectability.

One trend that worries me is how quickly correction is now interpreted as hatred. Point out that someone has spread false information and you are accused of being a hater. Challenge dishonest behavior and you are told to "mind your business." Raise concerns about declining standards and someone immediately says, "Stop judging people." Yet correction and condemnation are not the same thing.

Every healthy family, workplace, profession, and society depends on accountability. Doctors are corrected when they make clinical errors. Pilots are investigated after accidents. Judges have their decisions reviewed by higher courts. Scientists constantly challenge each other's findings because truth matters more than protecting egos. If professionals understand the importance of constructive criticism, why should ordinary life be any different?

Perhaps the greatest danger is not that people make mistakes. Mistakes are part of being human. The real danger begins when mistakes are rebranded as virtues, when dishonesty becomes cleverness, when selfishness becomes self expression, and when refusing accountability is celebrated as confidence.

A society slowly loses its moral compass not because wrongdoing suddenly appears, but because fewer people are willing to call wrongdoing by its proper name. Once every action becomes "my truth" or "my choice," we remove the very foundation that allows us to distinguish right from wrong.

Healthy shame has become an unpopular idea, yet it serves an important purpose. Shame, in its proper form, is not about humiliation or destroying someone's dignity. It is the internal signal that tells us we have violated our own values or harmed another person. It pushes us toward apology, growth, and restoration.

A person who feels no remorse after lying, cheating, exploiting others, or causing unnecessary harm is not demonstrating strength. They are revealing a dangerous absence of self reflection. Without the willingness to admit, "I was wrong," genuine personal growth becomes almost impossible.

Perhaps the problem is not that people today are worse than previous generations. Perhaps human nature has remained largely the same while technology has amplified both our virtues and our flaws.

Social media did not invent dishonesty, arrogance, or attention seeking. It simply gave them a global audience and, in some cases, a financial reward. The responsibility therefore falls on each of us to resist the temptation to value popularity above principle and validation above integrity.

A society cannot thrive if it becomes uncomfortable with accountability. Progress has never depended on pretending we are perfect. It has always depended on our willingness to recognize our shortcomings, accept correction, and become better than we were yesterday. If we lose that ability, we may gain more followers, more views, and more applause, but we will quietly lose something far more valuable: our character.

It's all a sign of the times we are living in. 2 Timothy chapter 3 spoke at length about this dangerous times it called perilous times.
Humans have since lost every sense of morality. Today we celebrate the most foolish and idiotic things society would have heavily frowned upon in the past.
You see naked girls everywhere and when you speak they say " mind your business" and some idiotic airheads would support them.
Politicians steal at will and when you talk they tag you a tribalistic, a religious bigot, or a hater and that's why we have the worst of us all ruling us at the moment.
People repay evil with good without a single care or remorse.
At times I just wonder what has actually happened to humanity. Even the elders that are supposed to correct these things clearly supports them or have been silenced in order not to offend the woke crowd.

All this rubbish means nothing if we cannot have real time transmission of results right from the polling boots.
They should go ask South Africans how they conduct their elections and how results are transmitted in real time.
All those rubbish of going to collation centers is where the actual electoral heist occurs.
We cannot continue to do this same rubbish while we are expecting a different result. It doesn't happen.

O Bibi won Kenobi wouldn't agree with that statement would he?

Many Nigerian nurses and Doctors of today are nothing to write home about. Majority of them have no passion for the job but are only there for the money.
Many of them have no empathy or sympathy for the patients they are treating.
May God deliver is from Nigerian hospitals amen.

Try killing an American citizen in any part of the world and know what would happen to your government.

Nigerian presidents have made it a terrible habit of not speaking to the people because they feel they owe them no explanation seeing that their votes doesn't even count.
This anomaly started with Buhari and now this one is doing the same.
How can we have a supposed president whom we never see, doesn't even speak to us nor regards us and yet some people because of self hate and wickedness that inherently lies in their DNA want him to continue?
Hatred and wickedness has so much damaged many people in this country to the point they can no longer think right.

You can not compare the security situation in Ghana with that of Nigeria. The Nigerian leader just like his American counterpart needs more protection than that of Ghana

Because of the crimes they commit in power. All these can be resolved when we build strong institutions instead of strong men.
In a parliamentary system you can go to work in the morning as a prime minister and return home as an ordinary citizen.
Remove the concentration of too much power from the president, reduce the amount of money they get and watch how many people will be interested in the office. They are not there to serve or make real changes in the life of the people. Their only interest is their pockets that's why everyone wants to be the president hence their need for too much security.
