The idea of changing textbooks and introducing workbooks so the younger siblings can't use textbooks is simply madness.
Our governments have failed to look into the excesses in the education sector that why these anomalies are allowed to thrive.
During my time many years ago we used to have one standard textbook for all primary and secondary school subjects. This will allow you pass on the books to your younger ones. Today textbooks are changed willy nilly and the proprietors collect bribes from. Authors to help them recommend their books to their students. No uniformity exists anymore as different schools use different textbooks.
