In a community, there are 3 bakeries,
* In bakeryA, the baker is known for excellent bread which is always hot and sweet, but his payment structure is so stringent, that he allows no credit to retailers and gives no discount

* In bakery B, the baker is known for wheat bread which though nutritious, has a taste that is not so good. But his payment structure is flexible, and he allows credit to his retailers, in order to build trust. He also sells his bread at a discount rate

* In bakery C, the baker is known for stale bread which is neither nutritious nor tasty, because the baker claims it helps him save cost, but is suspected to be too lazy to learn new modern techniques on baking bread. Also,he doesn't offer credit, and has no discount offer

Which of these bakers is likely to get more customers, and which of them is likely to crash his business in the near distant future.
So your uncle Joe is now a baker? cheesy cheesy cheesy cheesy

I'm sure you are not dumb so stop pretending you are, I know you can use your head. The CBN placed restrictions on forex outflows, banks won't even help you. Do you now expect investors to bring money into the economy when it would be difficult to move it out? That will definitely reduce investors' level of confidence in staking their money on our markets, comprende?
The CBN placed restriction on forex outflows just under 3 months a new government was ushered in.Is it an indicator that the out gone government's economy policies and plans were super duper and investors having been falling over themeslves just key into our"grown and fast"economy.

You guys needs to stop being hypocritals and economical with the truth.

Even if Nigeria was on a standstill for 4 months, the economy shouldn't have been this bad.

No wonder I was asked to endure another 4yrs under Jonathan.

To be fair, PMB didn't ruin the economy. But he did help in weakening it with his supposed BODYLANGUAGE. The fact is no one is going to put his money in a market that is overtly controlled by the government, with an overburdening influence, but still at the same time is slow and inactive to the second by second changes that are part and parcel of market trading. Contrary to the lies being told by the media of PMB's popularity in the western world, the truth is that records speak for themselves, and this President has a terrible record. The business world which actually controls the political world, is in no way happy and pleased with this current government. In a year or two, we will feel the true displeasure of the economic world to this MESSIAH president. Business denotes being smart and knowing when to bend to others for a favourable outcome in the future.
You really think not appointing ministers is why the economy plummeted?I disagree.

The economy has been sick for years.

How do you not expect a decline when your kindergarten president completely dried up liquidity and made it almost impossible for investors to move money in and out of Nigeria? This singular act is responsible for the massive capital outflow we have witnessed over the last couple of months. Investors are taking their money out of our economy and there is no new inflow into to replace these. Now tell me, why will the economy not decline sharply?
I expected you to cite one or two instances on how this"liquidity"of yours was dried up.

Atleast paste a link or two, that way this discussion will be more broad and informative.

I just hope we would still have a country by 2019.

We were told how Nigeria is the 6th fastest growing economy in the world around Febuary this year.

https://www.nairaland.com/2166884/nigeria-6th-fastest-growing-economy

Nigeria was listed as the world 4th fastest growing economy in 2011

https://www.nairaland.com/698946/nigeria-listed-worlds-4th-fastest

By June this year the US released their own report

https://www.nairaland.com/698946/nigeria-listed-worlds-4th-fastest

My questions are, how"fast and growing"was our economy under Jonathan?Or was it a mirage and illusion?

What are the things to show for it?

How possible is that just under 4 MONTHS of a new adminstration, despite numerous blockage by the current adminstration, the"Fast and Growing Economy"is almost completely ruined?

Was there really a"growing economy"all these years?

The issue is not defending GEJ or PDP. It is about trying to fault the presidency and/or APC as NL's opposition. GEJ failed and nothing anyone can do about that anymore even if they wail from now till eternity.

The grammarian's knowledge in politics and economics is limited and as such cannot offer much. She's unfortunate to find herself in their midst though.

I completely agree with you. However, you cannot deny the fact that he is better than those he left behind.

When he was here, at least "something" was offered even though it was mostly distortions and lies. What have those left behind offered? ABSOLUTE NOTHING!
They offer nothing cos they have nothing. You can't give what you don't have.

My personal dislike for GEJ is based on his antecedents as deputy governor, governor, vice president, acting and finally president.

None of his ass lickers can pin point one tangible thing had done in any of those capacities. It has nothing to do with PDP as a party.

I had expected miss grammar among them(his deputy)to hold forth the mantle.

Its obvious she knows nothing other than write some inconsequential grammar.

All of them put together disgust me.Its one thing to play opposition but its entirely another thing to distort facts just to earn some lame political points.

The guy isn't brilliant, you guys need to stop eulogising him.All he does is to freaking copy and paste links, something any one can do,if you have the time.

Jonathan didn't give a "damn"about asset declaration as a president, yet you blackmail, mudsling, ridicule and insult a president who did.

The"reasonable"female among them is who I pitied the most.

Goke7:
the question I keep asking is if rivers and akwa-ibom were really pdp strongholds as you are insinuating, why do we have all the irregularities there during the elections? My take is this if the rivers and akwaibom elections were very peaceful like we had in other states, the pdp would have won but by a small margin like the way apc won pdp in lagos by a small margin but the level of immaturity and impunity from the pdp became the problem, which they may likely to pay for it now and no matter of threats can hinder true justice.

The high level of political intolerance in the ss and se regions would continue to a problem until they grow up.
Well said.

I laugh when people try to attribute the Oba's unfortunate remark as the sole reason JK lost.

JK was never going to win Lagos.

PDP cannot win in Lagos in 10yrs time.

JK and PDP were simply licked.
