This is simple interstate transportation bus booking system

Suitable for all interstate transportation company in Nigeria(It was actually developed for one of the inter state transportation company in Nigeria and we decided to make it open source for other developer to use )

The system is developed in php

Only admin can issue ticket.

Tickets are generated in pdf format and can be printed with thermal printer

Passengers manifest are generated automatically base on date and vehicle number.

It can also be sue to generate booking report.

Create a database with the name bookin from your local server (xamp or wamp) and import the bookin.sql file.

User name: admin

Theory
php can be used to create a ecommerce or maybe a database,lets just say am using mysql for this (database), now i want to query for an item , i do need a connection to the database which i specified like
$conn = blah blah;
$db = more blah blanh;
$username = "crunchyDope";
$pwd = "blah blah";
and more blah blah...

Question
(1) ==>any body who visits this page wont need a username and password right?
(2) ==>so do i just create a dummy username and password and store in the php file?
(3) == >and for the life of me is that even safe?

The username and password you have up there is for data base user not the website user.


So if you want the website user to have user and password .that will be stored in your database table.

No. You can use procedural method .it will work perfectly fine.I started php with procedural method too but have to learn oop and MVC.
I advice you learn oop.
It has so many advantages.
Code reuse is one of the Major advantage. And it will help to easily move to other advance programming language like java and c#.
