Real Madrid today announced that they have signed  Jude Bellingham from Borussia Dortmund for a fee of around €100m.

Jude Bellingham registered 19 goal contributions in the just concluded season, which helped him secure a nomination for the Bundesliga Player of the Season, despite Dortmund missing out on the Bundesliga on the last day.

Fuel Subsidy Palliative

As the Federal Government (FG) contemplates the introduction of intervention to cushion the effect of the removal of subsidy in the oil sector, a human rights group, the Muslim rights Concern (MURIC), has suggested that workdays should be reduced to four throughout Nigeria.

The suggestion was made on Wednesday, 7th June, 2023 by Professor Ishaq Akintola, the Executive Director of MURIC.

Anambra State Joint Enforcement Taskforce on Tuesday was seen demolishing several building structures in Idemili North and South Council Areas in Anambra for alleged violation of building laws in the state, with a warning that the State Government will henceforth go after defaulting developers.

Court adjourns Atiku’s suit
Hearing in the petition by former Vice President, Atiku Abubakar against the election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu was abruptly adjourned on Tuesday by the Presidential Election Petition Court in Abuja due to alleged refusal of the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, to make some critical electoral materials available to him.
The Court shifted further hearing in the petition till June 7 pending the time the electoral body is expected to have responded to the request of Atiku and the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the supply of some documents.
