INTRODUCTION
Education can be seen as an investment due to its potential yields, for this purpose, both the public sector and private individuals have continued to contribute to education financing in Nigeria.

Despite this contributions, the Public Universities have been said to provide sub-standard Education while its Private counterparts continue to flourish. Thus the need for this study.

This study focuses on the cost of completing a degree programme (law) in the University of Ibadan and Babcock university.



THE COST OF EDUCATION IN BABCOCK UNIVERSITY AND THE UNIVERSITY OF IBADAN
Babcock University which is a private University is fully funded by individuals and runs on the fees paid by its students. For this reason, it is far more expensive to study in such Private Universities than in a Government funded University like the University of Ibadan.

This study looked into the cost of Studying law in both Universities. The following findings and observations were made as a result of this study;

Professor Benjamin Ogunmodede of Institute of Agricultural Research and Training (IART), was yesterday sentenced to 40 years’ imprisonment. The convict is a professor of Agriculture.

Two others, Zacchaeus Tejumola and Adenekan Clement, also got the same sentence.

​Anti-Corruption Investigator Escapes Assassination In Port Harcourt.






Austin Okwor who isa leading investigator in the on going anti-corruption war has survived multiple gunshots in Port Harcourt and is in the Hospital where He is being treated for his wounds.
According to reports from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Austin Okwor who is part of a team investigating corruption within the judiciary was attacked in Port Harcourt on Saturday Night.
It was also reported that Mr Okwor who had received threatening messages in recent months was surrounded by a gang who afterwards opened fire on him.

The Nollywood Star had heated up the internet last week with a post alleging that her mother-in-law was touching her husband inappropriately, brought in charms into her matrimonial home and that she paid her own bride price.



Oladunni who refuted Tonto Dikeh’s claim, said his mother lived abroad and didn’t return until last December for his housewarming thereby dispelling the allegation that the mother lived with the couple and was in possession of charms under their roof.



This only opened a new version to the 7 months old rage between Dikeh and her husband.

NGO, sues Ag. President Yemi Osibanjo, Minister of Education Mallam Adamu Adamu for latest Educational development.





The NGO which is known as the Incorporated Trustees of Kingdom Human Rights Foundation International has filed a case against the Acting President, Professor Yemi Osibanjo, the Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu and the Federal Ministry of Education before the Federal High Court in Abuja.



The case with suit No: FHC/ABJ/CS/570/2017 which was for the alleged removal of Christian Religious Studies (CRS), from the academic curriculum of studies for Nigerian schools sees the group wanting the court to determine whether or not the removal of CRS as a separate subject from the academic curriculum of studies for Nigerian schools amounts to breach of rights of Christian children/students to freely acquire sound christian education in line with the constitutionally guaranteed right of freedom of conscience and religion and belief among others also prays that the court declare that the removal of CRS as a separate subject from the academic curriculum of studies for Nigerian schools is an act capable of causing religious and ethnic conflict in the country, as well as declare that the Minister of Education lacked the power to remove CRS as an independent academic study in Nigerian schools leading to a court order that will set “aside the controversial and ill-conceived education curriculum that deliberately excluded CRS as a separate course of study in Nigerian schools.”

The Doha based global media has written an open letter which it titled “An Open Letter from Al Jazeera”.

These came only weeks after Saudi-led blocs had threatened to shot down the Doha based global media on grounds of alleged terrorism and support for terror crimes.



In the Open letter which was posted on Al Jazeera’s official website, the media platform took time to give its grounds, denying the allegations and Stating its goals as well as achievement since inception.
