Oh, that already resolved. I have already search the internet, discovered where I was wrong: failed to go to mount and storage to format/system. I did the right thing and now I am writing this from my JellyMixi ROM. What I so much like about it is the dual 3G, except that camera and flashlight only lead to reboot. Help!

Have I don't something wrongly or it doesn't work on my Gionee P2?
I downloaded and flash the JellyMixi ROM, it booted and just hanged at the shiny/flashy Android logo. I restored my Gionee P2 CWM recovery backup and now have two boot logos: Walton then Gionee.
By the way, is there anything I can do to remove the Walton logo?

Downloaded it on Saturday and the initial boot took less than 5minutes then I flashed the bug patch which took another 5minutes or there about to initialize all the apps. Ever since, its been smooth sailing.

Its only the screenshot I've not figured out yet. I'm sure Warlord will help on that.

Thanks. I will try custom ROM some day, using CWM recovery. I do hope there is no danger in trying via the CWM recovery, even for the non-compatible P2 phones.

Bros, I forgot to show you one thing. Below is the screenshot of my system release Date. My friend's own reads an earlier date but has 510mb phone storage. Is my phone the old type, the date notwithstanding?

.it means your phone is the new type of gionee p2 and doesn't accept custom ROMs.. Anytime you flash one your camera goes "wonky" and first shows "cannot connect to camera" then next reboots..... NO WAY OUTTA THIS.... ONLY TO BUY ANOTHER PHONE

How do one identify the old type of Gionee P2?

If you just rooted for rooting sake, without anything necessitating it, then you are at the verge of bricking your phone. I advise you unroot till you have a purpose for rooting.

cecegorz: I have used this offer for two months on my S3, and just exhausted that of this month.
I definitely won't be going this route again, as it doesn't really deliver on it's promise. My data manager always report 1Gb usage as against the 2Gb quoted by Airtel, forget the fact that they say the usage will be different on non-BB devices, why is it always exactly half?
The supposed 2Gb @ N1,500 only lasts maximum of 3 weeks for me, and that means I'll have to turn off my mail sync, otherwise just two weeks of push email will exhaust the whole data.
Let me try the Android package of N2k for 2Gb and see if I will get the 2Gb in reality.

My concern is not even the double charge (since it is still cheaper than many other data subscriptions). Airtel is only as fast as a Snail in my location. My next bus stop on data subscription will be the 1000mb/N1000= via MTN DataShare @ www.greatmindsng.com
