Note: You don't have to insert your battery into the phone until all is completed.

You will find the instruction and the link to the Walton Primo F2 ROM (which I used to unbrick my Gionee P2) at the very link I gave you. Just follow the steps carefully and your Gionee P2 will back to life.

5thdavid: please am in trouble o..I brinked my gionee p2 without doing any backup before then. I hv been tryna follow the steps from the previous problem on this tread but am lost right now..I downloaded the stock ROM for p2 and was using flash tools to flash it but whenever I enter the scatter file it keeps bringing the files without location hereby making download impossible ..I hv attached a screen shot of the system.
please wizards and gurus come to my rescue ASAP. thank

Yes, they do. But you can still subscribe if you are eligible for their 4gb/N1500=/60 days. If not, better go for their Android Internet Plans OR goto http://www.greatmindsng.com for cheap data plans via DataShare.

Did you encounter that while the phone is fresh from the market, how could SETTINGS >DATA CONNECTION not work?
Are your SIM cards activated for data service; do those SIM cards browse on other devices?

Once you have flashed CWM Recovery and backed up your ROM, the fear of bricking becomes a past tense. Read the thread backwards and you will see my case.

Yes bro. 100% Unbricked+100% CWM Recovery flashed and system backed up and stored at different locations. The fear of bricking is now a thing of the past.

At last, I was able to flash my bricked Gionee P2 back to life using the Primo F2 stock ROM. I have now flashed CWM Recovery and the fear of bricking is now a thing of the past.

Mhyke: make sure d external sd is inserted

well inserted. I successfully backed up to the external sd card.

During backup with CWM Recovery I got "No sd-ext found. Skipping backup of sd-ext".
Will this be a problem?
