Theoilguy, which would you advice for a Toyota Corolla 2003, American Model, Mobil 1 Extended Performance or Castrol Edge Extended Performance.

Please the issue of oil filter needs to be addressed immediately, that is what is holding me back.

Recommended viscosity for your car is 5w-30. Mobil 1 would do just fine for a toyota even though Castrol Oil Manufacturers claim Castrol oil doesn't burn. We are working hard on the oil filter issue but covering all cars would not be an easy job. You should be able to find a high quality filter in the Market that would easily go 8k miles. if you look hard enough, you could find toyota OEM filters.

This is good news for everyone. You don't have any excuse to use the wrong oil for your vehicle. The oil is genuine and from the US.
