I don't know why Nigerians are barking as if DSTV don't have the right to increase their fee, when every other thing in the country has increased.
They are using light and fuel, which has significantly increased, and they are effected by dollars tooo.
If you can't afford it, its not by force, but stop taking it personal
bro, Airtel data I do for 200gb is still the same price since last year. Airtel burns diesel to run ther mass. Their generator mass. Is DStv spending half of what Airtel or Mtn is spending? Yet data prices are still the same. DStv inceease price even when the economy is stable. These guys are idiots cause they think na only them have monopoly.

Male or female? But you can use straw or a tiny hose. Step one. Strip the fibreglass.... Get a foil to wrap the two ends then insert both ends inside the straw or hose to ensure they're always aligned.
I finally tried this, it didn't work. I guess there is a reason they actually made that loop bypass cable. Cause even though the lights from my optics were consistent, and not blinking meaning it's looping perfectly but no audio. I did at the amplifier and also the control interface module under the glove box. If anyone is having any audio issues on their mercedes, I am about to order the loop bypass cable. We can import together it will be cheaper.

Politics / Re: Are You Willing To Pay N178,000 Monthly For A 24-hour Electricity Supply? by TheOldGods: 9:57pm On Apr 03
aieromon:

Let's look at the facts on ground.

House 1
Power load = 2000W
Average of 20hrs/day gives 600 hours in a 30 day calendar month.
Power consumption = 2kW * 600h = 1200kWh
Cost of power consumed = ₦225 * 1200 = ₦270,000

House 2
Power load = 2000W
Power is generated using a 2.5 kVA petrol generator. Running wattage is 2000W.
Fuel efficiency = 1.1litres/hour (15 litres in 14 hours at 50% load - generator will consume more if we increase the load but let us stick with this for the purpose of this comparison)
For House 2 to generate 600hrs in a month requires 660L of PMS.
At ₦560/litre, House 2 will spend a sum of ₦369,600 in an attempt to replicate power supply from DISCOs. Maintenance cost has not been factored in these calculations.

A lot of small scale businesses spend up to ₦178,000 monthly running petrol generators.

Power is not cheap!

power is not cheap, but what the f**k is the minimum wage at those countries? They can easily pay for power without feeling a thing. It will take a house earning 50k over 3 months to pay for 1 month of electricity. If Nigerians no protest these nonsense, na dem know. My visa is already out.

lets say you bought Garri at 500 naira per mudu last week to sell at 550 naira per mudu to make a fixed profit of 50 naira per mudu.

You still have the stock of Garri you bought last week and the price this week goes down to 400 naira per mudu where you buy to resell.

Will you start selling the garri you have in stock for 450 naira per mudu?
but the same people had old stocks at 500 naira when dollar was at 700$ and Sold it at current price of 1600 when it was 1600. Bro business is either you loose or you gain.

By a stroke of genius, the President had ordered the CBN be in charge of receipts of oil revenues, a departure from decade-long misappropriation of crude oil sales. It therefore enhances CBN's ability to stabilize the currency. The insinuation that CBN borrows to sell to banks and BDCs should be disregarded.

2. Clearing of $7billion backlog has done the economy so much good. Investors no longer have the fear of their funds being trapped.

3. Oil production is on a steady increase. Although, a component volume of it had been sold in the future, however, the significant increase in production is offsetting the shortfalls. Moreover, oil price is up.

4. The market is gaining back investors' confidence. Following MPC meeting in January, investors reacted positively, total foreign portforlio recorded $2.3billion in febuary, purchases of naira assets stood at $1billion, oversea remitances went up greatly, FG bonds was oversubscribed, all these helped create more liquidity and increases market supply.
why are prices of things in the market not coming down. See eh, the problem is not in the Naira, but Nigeria. We don't have any body that supervises and regulates pricing. Anybody go just wake up put price. Dollar is selling for ,1280, now but prices are still high when it was 1500-1600.

Romance / Re: I Sent Her Out Of My House Late In The Night: Did I Do The Right Thing? by TheOldGods: 7:13pm On Mar 23
AyobamiOluwole:
So this girl has been coming to my place, eat the best food and all that. I've asked her if she has a boyfriend and she said no. I do give her money without asking her for anything on return because I could see she is not the lazy type and she is really hardworking. I am very much ok with finances and I see no issues with some of her demands.

Yesterday I called her and told her that I'm not happy and that I need cuddle only and not sex(I lost so much Dollars from futures trading that night). She later called and said she will come to my place for that reason. In my mind I was thinking this will go down as sex and all, but I don't really want sex.

All I just needed is someone to cuddle and get distracted with that's all. This is the only time I am demanding something from her.

So she came during the evening time, and later that night we went to supermarket and I got her something's to eat at home for the night. We got back home and everything was going well. We were both on the bed when I reminded her why she came. This is someone I've been doing quite a lot for without even thinking twice out of pity. She wouldn't give in and wouldn't let me know why she can't just allow me to cuddle her.

Mehn, from the loss I had earlier and all that, I got infuriated and called another girl telling to pls come over for the night. Then I told this girl to leave my house since she can be that selfish. I sent her out of my house around 10pm. She was telling me she doesn't have money to go home, I didn't care and I shut my door against her. Though I was scared letting her out on that road and that time of the night but my anger got the better part of me. It was later after getting over the whole thing I confirmed nothing happened to her from someone else.

Pls is there anything wrong with what I did?

Modified: Anger is a bad thing. I am wrong sending her away at that time of the night. This is probably the judgement I'll get 😔
bro you're a full simp. Like I'm disappointed at your simpie life. You couldn't muster the guts to tell this girl you want to sleep with her, you cooked up a lie as cuddle to use it as an opportunity, you then went ahead to buy her food and make her comfortable thinking she will pay you back with sex. She saw through your stupid game a d knew from cuddling you go nack her and she played you. And you sent her out thinking you were smart. Bro you're a disgrace to men. You're the original Mr nice guy. Tueh

Lol, any remote worker knows what's happening in the country and beyond, even as your lies and scheme are obvious from the post, I think I must advice any gullible nairalander to avoid falling prey to this poorly worded trick 😂
No remote worker alive or dead earns 10,000 dollars a month, I have been in this world since 2017 and I know how it runs, I have friends with Microsoft in Lagos lol, and their salaries are Nigerian/African standard even as they work on site and not remotely, +-2kusd.
Even in these countries (USA/UK/Canada) how many graduate/skilled onsite workers earn 10000 a month, cross the 100k usd a year anywhere in the world and you're Ineligible for any government subsidy, grant or help, that's because you're well off 😂
After the tech boom of late 2019 through early 2021, It's been downhill, layoffs (on-site and remote), paycuts, and fewer jobs, my earnings have suffered a lot and been dwindling every year since 2019, my earnings only make a little sense in Nigeria as the exchange rate is currently terrible, if I told you in USD only a few people would be moved.
To those thinking about this liar's post, forget and trash it, doesn't matter what skill or experience you have, it's impossible.
normally I won't respond to you, but the problem with broke minds, is they think everyone is suddenly dull and broke like them. Dude, people are rich. And just to help you on how you can make such a thing. I'm a motion designer working with 2 clients and an agency. I make about $5k a month from the agency, the two clients whom I handle their social media account by editing and repurposing their videos using motion design pay 2500, and 3000, respectively. Add them all up and how much do you have. And here is the type of videos I do and this particular Instagram is my client. And he is a multi millionaire https://www.instagram.com/reel/C4OMLOsKQWv/?igsh=MTh6NGtubnFpc2lmaw==
