PoliticsBuhari Is Back But How Would That Affect The Nigerian Economy And Your Personal by Theonlyway(op): 4:31pm On Aug 23, 2017
Yes Buhari is back But How would that affect the Nigerian Economy and your Personal Account
Will crude oil or Naira ever recover based on?
Over supply of crude oil in the international market is causing a global glut The strength of the dollar against other international currencies is on the upswing. The US dollar is a major currency for crude oil trade internationally and has continued to appreciate over other world currency including the naira
OPEC abandoning of output ceiling to crush Russia. OPEC members produce and sell as they like has allow for more volume supply in the international waters with several vessels lined-up to sell and very few buyers
US excess reserve, increasing crude oil stockpiles, initiation of it export after 40 years and reaching its highest production levels after 80 years. Off course when you export your currency becomes stronger. We know whether conditions are temporal issues.
Lifting of sanctions in Iran as the country begins to pump crude again
Devaluation of Chinese currency, its falling stock market and reduction in the country’s purchasing power in crude consumption as a result of a deepened economy.
Stability in Iraq and Sudan
International commodity prices have also come low creating a bitter experience for exporters
In all these there is always a breakeven point for a slide down, but many believe it may not come soon, but people need to remedy their own personal pocket even when there are serious indication for this breakeven and turn around in our own market and investment climate. The question is when will this situation change?
Nigeria economy is heavily dependent of crude oil price. It goes as far as affecting the prices of shares on the Nigeria stock exchange as well as the price dollar for importing raw materials for companies. The cost of goods on the shelf is already hiking with companies are already declaring losses and laying off staff in order to stay afloat and individuals are tightening their belt and looking out for plan B in case anything goes red or at least try to sustain their expenditure in the face increasing local commodity prices.
These are investors’ indices for investment with comparative timing knowing the fundamentals can put you on the upswing for a large profit margin or create a back up that can cushion the effect of an economic slide down. Forget all the big big 'grama' Time to do something for yourself

BusinessHow Banks Are Milking The Masses Dry Using Government And CBN by Theonlyway(op): 6:06pm On May 28, 2017
The increased monthly charges on ATM card maintenance is indeed a bad news for the masses. The poor had never had it so bad in Nigeria in recent times. They were the ones that was affected by the ban on importation of ‘I-pass-my-neighbour-generator’, the Stamp Duty charge of N50 on every withdrawal made by bank account holders from and now Bank customers in Nigeria will pay nothing less than N1.462 billion to banks as card maintenance charges every month totaling N17.544 billion in a year beginning from this May 2017, as the revised Guide to Bank Charges take effect from this month.
The CBN and the banks have come to discover the enormous wealth they can generate from daily withdrawals having tested charges made when one withdraws many from other bank ATM. Zenith bank alone generate revenue from this source running into multiple millions as they have the most efficient ATM systems
According report obtained online, the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) had revised the card maintenance charges in the new guide which was released last month from N100 annually to N50 monthly. This means every debit or credit card holder will pay N600 annually as against the N100 being paid previously. That is about 600% increase making Nigerians slave to the bank as they have been force to pay owners of these bank Monthly salaries in millions.
According to data released recently by the Nigeria Inter Bank Settlement System (NIBSS) the central database for banking transactions in the country show that as at September 30, 2016, there are 29.24 million active cards being used by the 63 million active bank customers. You can do the arithmetic and get to know how much this banks are earning per month.
The new Guide to Bank Charges stipulates that banks charge N50 monthly as card maintenance fee on naira debit and credit cards, while foreign currency denominated debit and credit cards would be charged $20 or its equivalent on an annual basis.
Charges for new hardware token and for replacement was increased from N2,500 to N3,500, while one time soft token is to attract a SMS charge of N4 compared to N20 that was being charged by some banks.
It however left the rate for acquiring new debit and credit card, renewal or replacement of the cards at a one off charge of N1,000, while not-on-us, which is withdrawal from other banks Automated Teller Machines (ATM), would attract a charge of N65 after the third withdrawal within a month.
Well, it is not all bad news at all as the new charges however favour electronic transfers as the charges for online transfers between two banks were cut from N100 to N50. Before now, interbank transfers either through the mobile banking application or internet banking attracts a N100 charge and N5 Value Added Tax. This has however been cut down. The amount to be paid for printing of account statement was also cut down from N50 per page to a maximum of N20 per page.

Nairaland GeneralWORKERS; DAY! Monkey De Work Baboon De Chop by Theonlyway(op): 10:05am On Apr 28, 2017
It is May Day again! As we see a lot of worker match out in the name of workers' celebration, one is apt to inquire: all these years that you have been working for money, have you, for a while, asked yourself, "What has my salary really done for me?"
You buy fuel to fill your tank, that is if you have a car, and make Total's, Oando's, AP's and Mobil's investors rich.
How about your car insurance? The insurance companies know they can't do without you. You are their source of income because you must get at least a third party insurance policy for your car, especially now that vehicle inspection officers (VIO) are having a field day collecting revenue from offenders through the banks and Lagos state government needs the money badly. You see you are even working for government without pay. You watch telimundo, Nollywood you make all the celebrities and their producer rich. How about DSTV and GOTV and Startimes, every Month the South Africans are collecting your salary in advance, Chai! The big company like PZ, Unilever, Morning Fresh, Mama lemon, etc are selling products and you cannot even share in their profit and you are not producing anything but a consumer of your salary making this companies and their owners rich. The Chinese and Indians are here also milking from your salary.Only you!
In fact, you are also making the banks rich with your salary or savings account domiciled in banks while investors having shares in good banking stocks Like GTBank and Zenith going home with all the money - monkey de work baboon de chop. Of course, that is because the baboon takes his time to invest in knowledge, knowing when the monkey has finished dissipating energy working and retiring with nothing.
The weather changes and your children need drugs; even you need drugs too and the drug companies keep making money season in and season out from you since they are producers and you only a consumer producing nothing except waste. When will you be liberated from this slavery? Don't think of it! It is even worse when you retire, get fired or are forced to retire.
Your liberation can only make sense when your income is coming, no matter how small start .producing something even if it is only that is using it. get out of this slavery now! Most guys prefer starting when they have retired and think they will then have the time. How can you manage money when you never did trial and error when you had the capacity to take risk and make mistake in active service?
Don't Use Your Salary To Make Others Rich
Workers' day, workers' dilemma! You have become the best consuming staff of many companies producing goods and services, yet you earn nothing from them. Start now to build a production outfit job or no job that is how the Chinese are ruling the world 08023982600

BusinessAfrica’s Richest Women Exposes How She Overcame Her Challenges by Theonlyway(op): 4:48pm On Mar 26, 2017
You needed to here from the horses mouth to be able get a grabs of what this awesome lady was talking about when it comes to taking on challenged, listening to Folorunsho Alakija – one of Africa’s richest women at the Daystar’s Excellence in Leadership Conference was something many would have given up.
Can you imagine pumping money into a business or project for 18 years before seeing any results?
***It took her 3 years to get her oil license
***Her company spent 15 years before they struck the first oil (15 years of digging and heavy spending with no returns)
***They had a lingering court case they won after 12 years
***Famfa Oil spent 21 years before they were successful
Virtually everyone would love to be a billionaire like her, but very few people are willing to pay the kind of price she paid to get here, little wonder why there are few billionaires a lot of the iconic successes we celebrate today, all had intense work, before they had any remarkable accomplishment 08023982600

BusinessShocking Revelation Of How 2017 Will Look Like Economically For Nigerians by Theonlyway(op): 1:38am On Dec 01, 2016
This is a clear and factual economic outlook for 2017 from top CEOs and economists in Nigeria, no sentiment involved. If preparation is one of the key factors to having a successful ride in 2017, then in preparing for such a year as the one we are heading for planning should be the first step to consider.
Yes, this is the time for enjoyment and merriment, but I bet you it better you begin to have impute into how your next years is going to look like than just sit and wait for the year to roll in. The old saying that experience is the best teacher had a burst tire in 2016, but I must tell you there is no better way to plan or prepare than listen to those who have been bitten by the economic bullets of the present hour recession are yet are still standing strong enough to enter 2017 bouncing.
In an highly intense session various CEOs and economic experts across several industries looked at Nigeria's economic direction for 2017. According Atedo Peterside’s summary of the session, 2017 will be tougher than 2016. The economy will not recover until 2018, even 2019. Inflation will continue to be high (hovering around 20%) and Naira to dollar will remain in the 450s. With money scarcity still looming many more businesses will fold up, leading to more job losses and more poverty.
Prophet of doom you may say, but that is stack reality before our eyes. With inflation and high exchange rate the banks will not be able to give loans and when they do the interest rate will be too high to afford. With this high inflation those with paid salaries are now actually earning less, that is if they will be lucky to keep their jobs.
The presentation shows that all sectors of the economy (not just oil) are either falling or already in recession (below zero). Signs are all over: British Airways just converted its Nigerian office into an agency; almost all foreign airlines now fuel in Ghana;
Many people now smuggle crops and raw materials out to earn dollars. Man, must survive. Nobody is even talking about import again. Where is the dollar to even smuggle goods in.
75% of vacant houses in Ikoyi and VI don't have buyers anymore; Shoprite that opened in Ajah in August is still 70% empty as dollars to bring in goods is scarce and customer count is poor; 5 other big supermarkets in Lagos have closed shop etc.
Rice current price in Benin Republic is N10,000 and in Nigeria it N25,000. “How you want take bring am in. Abi you want to increase the pot belly custom officials are carrying around like pregnant women”?
More people depending on others survival are now on the street more than ever before so even those earning salaries now have more people to take care of.
The experts' advice:
1. Cash is going to be King and whoever has it or has access to it should preserve it.
2. Spend less than you earn; saving for the rainy day is impossible as we are in the economic down pour.
3. Cut down on avoidable merriment. Some don’t even have any choice
4. Expect the worst Christmas in 20 years.
4. Look for dollar and pounds-earning businesses you can do right now like export of food items and commodities.
Start producing and selling consumables and household item or must use items recession or no recession.
Information is for planning and preparation purposes
2017 can be your best year ever if you prepare for it,
Thank you 08023982600

Foreign AffairsThe Trump Triumph. Immigration Sites Are Crashing Foreigners Are Trouping by Theonlyway(op): 11:27am On Nov 09, 2016
The Trump Triumph. Immigration sites are Crashing around the world, Why struggle to go to US or stay in US when foreigners are trouping into Nigeria In spite of the recession. Nigeria is big market internationally, forget about the economic crunch it is currently facing. This may just be because it has as a nation with so much vast resources depended on its valuable oil resources. And off course this has only profited a selected few
It is important to identify business opportunities in many other untapped areas, especially as the nation heads toward her independent celebration. We may be politically independent, but economically we are still tied to the hook. This is the time to free yourself and get your own economic independent. The options are much to tap from in our great country as far your eyes can imagine.
The Nigeria fields are so rich with opportunities. Now, I don’t mean the oil field, but the business field and other areas begging to be tapped into by Nigeria, especially now that dollar has made imported items exclusive.
Starting from the Food industry from raw farm commodity production to processing and export, the opportunities are amazing. You can actually create an industry from this sector and that is where Dangote created his wealth from. Nigeria is a consuming nation both in food and other finished products.
Farming essential food items like rice Is one of the most profitable area of agriculture in Nigeria right now as dollar hike has taken a toll on the price of that commodity. You may also want to look at vegetable and catfish farming for the export market. You can do small, medium and large-scale farming. The advantage is that it is self-sustaining
Another area which is highly untapped is the information technology and the internet access area. You can imagine the kind of money communication networks like MTN, Airtel etc. are making selling data and that is because people are using it for one thing or the other, hence providing services using this medium can be a gold mine for revenue generation. This is an area where the Indian population of youths are cashing in on in mass. This area cuts across boarders and can create massive wealth for individuals who are talented in software technology. Most businesses and organization are online and they need maintenance services, online structures and e-commerce marketing etc. This is where the future of business lies. You need to take advantage of this.
The service industry is highly lucrative. It is rated as the highest revenues generator after oil especially in this times of crude oil crash and power issues for big time manufacturers who spend so much making money for diesel suppliers. The service industry is the largest employer of labour today after manufacturing it include sale and supplies, transportation, haulage and logistics, cleaning services, the supply of consumables just to mention a few.
The small scale production business in now in the heart of it all, especially with production businesses that requires little or no energy to propel you can produce products that can sell hot in the public market. A good example is the Ghanaian detoil, when it came into the market many thought it will not stand the test of time because of established brands already existing, but today this brand has taken over the street leaving the recognized brand on the shelves to compete.
No doubt production business is booming in Nigeria. And just as our population rising and you need food to support this growth therefore People must eat no matter how the economy looks like. And because they must eat they must also wash their hands and the plates afterward. This is on a daily basis or else bacterial and infection will take over their kitchens.
There are plenty of opportunities depending on how you look at it. So many restaurants, so many eateries, so many dry cleaning and laundry outfit. People must wear clothes and wash them. The supply of utility materials to these outfits can lead you into setting up a small production outfit around your house. The investment is not as huge. This business has the ability to generate for your consistent income.
I have a friend who is a contractor and also keep a regular job, but told me that whenever there is cash draught in the home as a result of his money stocked in some deals, he simply turns to the wife production business where he invested in, for temporal remedy.
Production business has the ability to bring in consistent income that is why Dangote is there permanently. It a business that generate little drops of water that fills the ocean. Once you can invest in producing daily need product you are sure going to keep getting clients.

BusinessYou Can Crash This Economic Hardship Using The American Anti-recession Strategie by Theonlyway(op): 2:07pm On Sep 19, 2016
When the world economy was crumbling down in 2007, the US was taking the lead in the economic down turn and playing the recession game in trouble waters just like what Nigeria is experiencing right now. Though that of Nigeria is believed to be self-inflicted as over reliance on the black gold as the only source of our national cake has been given a big blow by dwindling crude oil price. No more national cake to squander. A cake where every leader of the days takes its cut without leaving even the crumbs for the future generation.
But unlike in Nigeria where the economic beating is more on the foot soldiers that is the masses, the astonishing thing to note about the US under similar economic pressure is that as the big companies were laying off staff and downsizing with others folding up, it was the small and family size business that was sustaining the economy.
One may likely want to say that preparation was the key. I don’t share that opinion. It is just that the American people believe in themselves. They do not wait for government to supply their pocket with cash. They believe in the I-can-do spirit. An average American’s thought is owing a business, a farm or at worst a garden at the back of the house for vegetable or a bread baking store in front of the house.
When many big retail shops were locking up and selling off their goods for garbage fees in the US during those belt tightening periods. Guess what? The home businesses that employ mere one to ten staff were up and standing. Because these small homemade and family run companies were so many in the country, they prevented the American economy from a total collapse.
Low skilled production outfit, small private holdings and one-man business as we all call it here were up and running and became like a shock absorber for the US economy. The government did not need to bail out these small production and service firms because they were just too small to fail and since they were closer to the people they had products that were “can’t do without”. These small business became the life wire for the US economic to revamp and get out of the economic quagmire quicker than ever.
With all these, the American government had a clearer focus, concentration and an opportunity to bail out the big boys. Today that economy is back on its feet stronger than ever. All these could not be done if the “One fuel pump family own filling station” was not doing its job proving employment for two or three persons. Probably we should talk about that small Soap and detergent plant behind the storehouse producing daily used liquid soap, hand wash and bathing soap for public use and turning in daily revenue for the owner who are in their thousands across US.
The small rice processing and packaging plant was not far from the garden, maned by two staff for the family business. I am sure you would want to know about the small bread making factory behind the family garage providing confectioneries to the community on a daily basis. The family own restaurant in front of the house is not left out. Oh dear me, how could I have forgotten the small homemade shoe factory in the balcony of the house. Oh I love this one, two cousins just graduated from high school or university decided to float a service company that produces consumable for dry cleaning and laundry outfit with their office in their parent kitchen house. You bet I can remember that car wash and service company owned by uncle joe beside Auntie Julie hair make up and barbing saloon. Or is it brother John’s food packaging and supply center just by the corner of the street. Burger and chicken hot spot by the parking lot own by nephew James. Uncle Fred’s wife fabric making outfit in her father in-law’s abandoned property. Boy the list is endless.
Imagine about 10 million Nigerians involved in all these stuff with some of them having it as a chain of businesses, just like it was in the US and still is till today, we will never have to have a personal relationship with recession even when it exists. We are the directors of our own economic lives. We can change this economy by creating our own income and at the same time make jobs for others even when you are still working. You can create an economic buffer zone for yourselves. You can lift yourself above the tides.
Common let start something serious. Join me now and change this economy, 08037370173, 08023982600

BusinessHow The World’s Richest Woman In Oil And Gas Started As A Fashion Designer Right by Theonlyway(op): 10:08pm On Jul 18, 2016
After reading this piece you will never be afraid of joining the big guys in the business world when you discover how they started, even the one of the world’s richest woman started as a fashion designer. Even though oil and gas business houses the most wealthiest billionaires in Nigeria, but 80% of them started with virtually nothing and not even as engineer or had anything to do with the profession. How did they then quietly become rich entrepreneurs in the petroleum industry? Good question
The likes of Femi Otedola of Forte Oil, Wale Tinumbu of Oando, Mike Adenuga of ConOil, Folorunsho Alakija of Famfa Oil, Frederick Akinruntan of Obat Oil, Jimoh Ibrahim of Global Fleet Oil and Gas, Sayyu Dantata of MRS Group, Oba Otudeko of Honeywell Oil & Gas, Ifeanyi Ubah of Capital Oil and Gas just to mention a few.
Like I said before, most of them started small and not even with a career in the oil industry. For example Wale Tinunbu of Oando is a lawyer doing oil and gas mid stream far from what he read in the university. there some who never saw the four walls of the university, yet millionaires trading on petroleum products.
Okay, let’s look at the start-up profile of Africa’s richest woman, Mrs. Folorunsho Alakija, she started with a career in banking as a secretary and went on to study fashion designing which she used to incorporate her fashion company and launch herself as a business woman. She later decided to float an oil company, called Famfa Oil. This preparation gave her the opportunity to win an oil prospecting license, to explore and exploit Nigeria oil; today she sells crude oil for cash with less effort.
You can start from anywhere, simply acquire the knowledge and find out the area you can easily fit in as your preparation, because you never can tell when the opportunity will knock at your door. BusinessWhat To Do Right Now As Power And The Economy Bites Hard by Theonlyway(op): 5:12pm On Jul 17, 2016
You may want to know which products will be the fastest moving item to produce
or even sell now for immediate income as the economy struggles
Knowing this will enable you can pitch tent with it Don't border asking why?
Off course everyone knows the importance of having extra cash in this period of dwindling income
You need to generate consistent income that can beat rising inflation in order to secure your finances.
Now if your guess is as good as mine then check out what people feel about what is possible.
Some may say fuel business is needed, because of the ever increasing noise in the sector?
Off course that is a game for the major marketers.
Okay, foods items. No doubt people must eat no matter how bad the economy seems to forecast,
but that is normal and the restaurant and mama-put are well position to take that market.
Let’s take a look at consumables.
These are resources once utilized do not get regenerated that is they are exhaustible resources.
The good thing about them is that they are needed in large quantity on a daily basis
Giving opportunity for companies and individuals that produce
or sell them to go home with large chunks of cash
Consumables are always a hot sell anytime any day. What are they actually?
Why consumables is the fastest Money-making product anytime there is inflation or hard times?
Simple people must eat, wash and wear no matter what?
Consumables are non-replenish-able usable products that give room for repeated buys
And the bring consistent income for producers and sellers of such item.
Such products include toiletries, Liquid wash, home use accessories etc.
some of these items are easy to produce and commercialized from home.
Liquid wash products, because of the fast rate at which clothes get dirty
and you know people must stay clean. The other products are special skincare products
like Tablet soap that contains Vitamin E,
coconut oil, glycerin, moisturizer, anti-aging and anti-dryness soap.
Tablet soap both for bathing and washing is easy to produce
if you have the right ingredient for commercial sales.

PoliticsDon't Let Us Be Fooled By Politicians. Government Cannot Create Jobs by Theonlyway(op): 4:37pm On Jun 15, 2016
Don't let us be fooled by politicians. Government cannot create jobs and has never been able to do so. Creating an enabling environment has been a difficult task for them over the years. Managing common assets in the country have been like getting to Everest. Now you want them to create jobs that they could not create when they had all the money. For many years they have not be able to fully implement a simple budget. I laugh at those who want to put their future in hands of a government whose hands are already full with inabilities. Too much crisis to chew. Dwindling revenue from oil, crashing tax revenue from power starved companies who can longer make enough profit to pay tax and low VAT from low purchasing power of consumers. Need I say more?
I know you are comfortable with news likes, “400,000 Registrations In 36 Hour at the just opened Nigeria Government Job site” or “Over 500,000 candidates apply for police job”. That is just to exposed the desperation of Nigerians who are unemployed and the thousands who have just lost their jobs these past months. It could be an opportunity for scammers both in government quarters and in the public domain. We did not start today to hear of Customs, Immigration, Quarantine, NDLEA, DSS, Police and the Federal Civil Service recruitment programmes. In fact, that of custom is almost every month and they still don’t have enough staff to man their different positions. Who is deceiving who?
I will prefer government focus on their area of expectation. creating an enabling environment and watch people like Dangote, Tony Elumelu, Hope Eno, (you can put your name here) Unilever, PZ, Shoprite, Justrite, Mr Biggs’ Alaba International market and thousands of small businesses who employ one to ten persons to thrive and create more sustainable jobs. Yes, the government can make the noise and give empty promises on jobs, but we all know where that always end. The immigration Job saga is still by the corner, yet to enter the history books. Let us not bite our fingers twice. Our generation must not be taken for a ride. Give us the opportunity and will beat the skies. Time to create our own future. Don’t wait for government. BusinessCrude Oil Price Crash Below $50 Between Politicians And The Masses Who Suffers by Theonlyway(op): 10:44am On Jan 13, 2015
Oil and politics is a game played by two teams. The politicians and the oil producers, both playing on the same side, and scoring in the same goal post and guess who their opponents are
Your guess could be as good as mine.
The masses, I guess?
Yes, you are right the masses of course.
The only unfortunate thing though is the fact that the masses do not have an opportunity to be in the actual action, they are just onlookers or spectators at the side line or observers if I may put it that way. Those that seem to be a bit clever simply end up as ball boys. At least that is better than “stand dey look or just walker pass”.
Well the game is now tough as oil prices hit their lowest since the last world economic recession in 2008. This trend is not a surprise for those could read between the lines. By this time last year when economic guru, Bismarck Rewane predicted this trend and warned politician to take percussion on how they demand for money from the excess crude oil account, many greedy governors were still busy with court cases against the president for not sharing the national cake.
Well things are not looking like they are going to be better soon as far as crude oil price is concerned, especially when the Organization of the Petroleum Exporting Countries, OPEC refuse to cut output in response to a global supply power play. The non-passage of PIB by the Aminu Tambuwal led National Assembly has not helped matters. These guys were busy throughout their tenor, either jumping fences or exchanging blows in pursuit of their personal political ambition. Rather too late for them right now as their boat seems to be heading towards where the Titanic sank.
As crude oil prices sinks to a new four-year lows and OPEC maintaining its oil output ceiling of 30 million barrels per day with other big weight or non OPEC producers pumping even more, preferring not to cut production quotas, our country’s reserve is taking the hit.
The reserve being Nigeria’s number one back up for it foreign exchange has already gotten a black eye and the second eye in danger as well, with the Naira having a free fall against the dollar as symptoms. For governors who use to take the president to the boxing ring in order to force him to share from the excess crude account, they need not border anymore as that angle of funds has died from multiple injury no thanks to crude oil price crash in the international market and exchange rate draw back.
Nigeria politicians who are battling for relevance in the next political dispensation need money so badly at this time, especially the governors and senators who want to be power brokers, but the price war between Saudi Arabia, Russia and the United States of America for market share in the international energy market will have to take these politicians 40 days fasting, night and day with prayers to upturn this seemingly difficult situation oop! I forgot the elections is just few weeks away, dry fasting may not just be visible as the lack of free money from crude oil has already caused many politicians to lose their pot belly.
The world oil prices keep tumbling based on February and March deliveries, even at that as the three world’s largest oil producers, Saudi Arabia, Russia and US are taking the battle to the high sea with US having the upper hand thanks to it shale oil discovery in the state of Dakota, the reduce price of petrol at the pump for American consumers which is the dreamed of the US government is showing up. Whether it is going to be a long battle or a short one it is too late for any oil wind fall for any politician hoping to use such proceed for political campaign.
For Nigeria, it is a different ball game. Yes, the economy is indeed struggling under the impact of lower oil prices, but politicians will suffer more definitely as the election approaches. The US shale oil boom has been a major threat to Nigeria “no bi today” more than any other country. It is no more news that US has cut its demand for crude oil from Nigeria by 70% over the past one year.
We well know that these our politician don’t read between the lines. They ask for money, but where it is going to come from or how the source of such fund is going to be sustained for another collection time, they are clueless. Like a onetime Ugandan president would say “print more money”.
Anyway, if this trend continues and oil price fall below the $50 mark and since the Nigerian economy is heavily reliant on crude oil revenue, no doubt it won’t be wrong to say that politician may become endangered species. Don't forget that crude oil money has always been their driving force for power or better put their fuel for survival in this country. This situation seems to have removed the carpet off their feet without notice.
Have you ever heard politicians launching or raising fund for their political campaign, they simply collect cash from dark state treasury and distribute, a game which now has its two feet tied to the stalk, giving the masses opportunity to share the general wealth. At least people can easily spend more on petroleum product, especially diesel which coming down drastically without having to have a tight budget, hence creating more opportunity for small entrepreneurs and suppliers in that sector to begin to generate profit from turnover as users and industrialist can afford to spend more.
BusinessWhy More Money Is Made In Hot Seasons Than Any Other Seasons by Theonlyway(op): 9:54am On Dec 01, 2014
The season between the rainy season and dry season though not really classified in this part of the world is a very important season; you may call it a transitional season as it may seems. Often referred to as hot season or heat period of the year because of ardent heat that follows it, but that season holds a lot of opportunities as its comes with a lot of challenges.
There is a lot sweating during this period which brings the need for fans and air conditioners in homes, offices and business centre or factories. A lot of folk spend money just to bring a little bit of aeration in the environment and reduce the effect of the heat period. More money on diesels, fuel on generators, increase in power bill as all air conditions and fans must work at maximum output.
That is why you have more chilled Coke advert on TV, more guys are making money from pure or bottle water sales on the street. Oh generators sellers swelling their bank account by the day, filling station are making more money from fuel sold in kegs.
Remember, you can't sleep without fan powered by generator during this heat season. There is money in every situation in Nigeria. if there is scarcity of water in your area or no bore hole powered by generator, thanks to (NEPA) black out, you have to employ the services of mallams to supply you the water to use to bath at least twice a day for cost sake.
This period is also known to habour more illnesses and air borne disease. Hospitals often get more filled up at this time that is more cash for doctors.
Wow pure water or bottle water producers are hot on the heel of their banks as their accounts will always swell at this period as a result of excess consumption of water due to the heat. Ice-block makers and sellers are going to have a field day.
The fastest moving product during this period is detergent because of its high usage as a result of consistent sweating. Whether liquid or powdered detergent, the cash from this commodity comes in like a streams as the usage of this product always sours during this period, the more the sweating the more the washing for clothes users. The specially formulated laundry liquid wash soap for cloths gets an upper hand in this case and makers just keep generating cash as you do not need PHCN, Okay NEPA to do this business and the profit is always over 100% returns on investment.
All these are near field businesses one can just add on as a temporal side business and they need very little capital to start.

BusinessTokumbo Electronics Market Is Already Dieing by Theonlyway(op): 11:43am On Oct 13, 2014
Those who are still importing fairly used TV from Europe and America are in for real trouble. They think they are going to make huge profit buying cheap as importers, not realizing they as ignorant importers have become a dumping ground for dead technologies from abroad as Digital Televisioning takes over Nigeria, their product will only be left for fools to buy.
You don't have to blame them, the desire to make quick money has blinded their ability to see the trend. No wonder you find in every nook and corner of the street of country you find these obsolete electronic being displayed for the unsuspecting public to acquire. Well what can we say? At least they are cheap

Nairaland GeneralHow To Set-up A Business by Theonlyway(op): 10:13am On Sep 22, 2014
I could not hold my breath for laughter when I heard this story. It was more than “you won’t kill me with laughter”, it was laughter made alive. Somebody offered to come around the house to teach a young lady how to bake cake for free. According to her, why spend money to learn such a simple stuff that was as easy as cooking. At the end of the cake class, according to the young lady ‘one cake don the other one no don, no mean say she no try”. This was not a dent on her practical class; she has suddenly become a professional cake baker.
So when one of her elder sisters wanted to have a birthday for the son she offered to bake the birthday cake for the event. The party was going to be a big one with guest travelling all the way down. Funmi was going to be in charge of the cake. For her this was a test of her competence in a business she hoped to start generating income from.
And she set forth with all effort to accomplish the task of making a splendid cake for the occasion. In her mind, this was not going to be too difficult since she had learnt the trade and all she needed was to use this as an opportunity to bring her dreams to reality.
Nobody bothered her because of the confidence she exuded in her ability to deliver and indeed she did deliver on the day.
The day came and the cake stood out laid on the corner of the house in preparation for the center table, Guess who went to check out the output of Funmi boast of being a professional cake maker, funmi’s younger brother. After checking on what Funmi had done, he went straight to the Auntie whose son’s birthday was being celebrated.
“Auntie”, he said quietly. “Please we need to send somebody to the market to buy a special knife, the meat seller mini cutlass will be most suitable”.
And the aunties asked “but why, we don’t need such for this occasion”.
His response was “Auntie that is what we will need to be able to cut that funmi’s cake”.
“What do you mean” the auntie shouted and rushed to the location where the cake was kept just to find out what the younger brother was talking about. By the time she got there with her younger brother following closely behind, they both found the celebrant climbing the cake and playing on it.
At this point, even the auntie was choked with laughter “what kind of cake is this that even my baby is on it and it has not shown any sign of breakage or damage. It is a stone cake? It is so strong it can even break someone’s teeth. Where did you learn this method and style of cake making? She asked.
Well the party turned out to be a celebration of laughter as Funmi’s cake landed in the dust bin with no cake for the baby to celebrate with. Not even for the visitors to taste, except they want to lose their tooth.
Funmi learnt the lesson of her life. Why put in so much to learn if indeed you want to be taught only to mess it up using the wrong folks. Always use the right people to learn a trade and get the best even if you have to pay for it, after all you are learning in order to earn.
If you use a carpenter as a teacher or trainer for catfish business, you may end up losing your entire farm and probably your investment as well.
You want to set up a business and you have somebody who has never set up one before as your mentor you may be stirring that ship called a business for the iceberg; it may never survive the impact
Go for competence, go for the right knowledge, and go for those who know what they are doing
