It's unfortunate that APC that pride itself as Progressives are now trying to drag the nation backward. I know some people who voted for them in last election are now regretting bitterly. |

omenka: Something appears wrong with the link. Have been returning a 500 error. But be that as it may, if indeed he made such a statement "verbatim", then it is absolutely inappropriate and condemnable. No one has the right to threaten or command anyone to vote for anyone, least of all, an Oba. Traditional rulers are supposed to be impartial in politics, ditto religious leaders. ........................................................... .............. ........... That said, where were all there people latching on this to score some political points when Oyedepo made similar statement?? Where were they when Patience ordered that APC supporters be stoned wherever they are found?? The double standard is quite nauseating. Is above statements or threats targeted to any particular people? |

MzJackBaueress: I just wasted 1.6mb downloading the video from a better link.
If Oba Rilwan Akiolu actually made that statement, then I am highly disappointed.
Ambode just lost few Igbos who would have voted for him,as well as some yorubas and hausas and even other ethnic groups in lagos.
The statement is really a dangerous one,very dangerous! Nwanne, ujo Nigeria na'atu m o o. |

egift: If people are unhappy with APC, it should be the Nigerians in Lagos against APC. Agaje and his sponsors should not be running their mouth that it is Ndigbo against APC.
Also Agbaje's campaign to Ndigbo and other non-indigenous residents should be what he is going to do for Lagosians and not pitching them against their host.
The divisive approach will not work. And after this weekend when Agbaje is rejected, he will leave behind sore feelings. If he has any plan he should be campaigning on it and leave clannish agenda. Afterall he claim to be more Lagos than everyone else. Egift my friend, please talk about your state, Enugu, leave lagos politics for Lagosians. Do you think Igbo/Lagosians are fools? After giving them their greatest humiliation by way of deportation, you expect them to jump at anything APC. Whether you like it or not, I expect you admit that APC shot themselves on the foot by taking Igbos for granted. For sure, Igbo votes alone cannot elect a governor in Lagos, but any candidate Igbos vote enmass wins the race. That's your frustrations. |

Even the hand of God caught up with the manipulators, to the extent that the Collation Officer, a supposed Professor and VC of Federal University could not read out the result which were so manipulated that his eyes could not figure out the actual figures. At last, am glad the Prof confessed that the results were written under 'special conditions'. I don't know if you understand what that means. Pls be guided accordingly The one that should be guided is you. I participated in the said election in Rivers state. I can tell you that your side of the story is completely false. It was peaceful and well organized all through. Amaechi is making all these noise because he has realized that Rivers people are paying him back his treacherous attitude. |

The woefull performance of APC in 28 March election in Rivers state is giving Amaechi unbearable body itch. Despite his so called popularity, he couldn't deliver his party hence the desperation to achieve success through arm twisting. If Rivers state REC must go, then Kano, katsina, Kaduna and Jigawa RECs must follow her. |
