Less than intelligent action to mayhem. The state government has done nothing positive to quell the conflict, what was the immediate cause of conflict? An indisciplined soldier, what was the response of the people? They killed innocents and what does the pathetic state government do? They ask for militia. Typical kneel jerk response from our governments. I hope they don't slaughter us all one day.

PoliticsHow I Leaked Sanusi’s Letter On Missing $49 Billion Oil Money – Amaechi. by TheOnlyWiseMan(op): 7:34pm On May 05, 2016
The Minister of Transportation, Chibuike Amaechi, has reacted to reports that he leaked a letter by former governor the Central Bank of Nigeria, Lamido Sanusi, to former President Goodluck Jonathan, detailing how $49 billion of oil revenue had been diverted.
The letter ultimately led to the removal of Mr. Sanusi, who is now the Emir of Kano.
Mr. Amaechi, then the governor of Rivers State, admits he made the letter public, but said he did not do so “surreptitiously and clandestinely”.
Read a statement from his office:
Our attention has been drawn to reports in the media that tends to infer and/or suggest that immediate past governor of Rivers State and now Minister of Transportation, Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi surreptitiously and clandestinely ‘leaked’ a letter written by former Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) governor and now Emir of Kano, Sanusi Muhammad 11 to then President Goodluck Jonathan on the non-remittance of $49.8 billion from oil sale to the federation account. This is further from the truth and what exactly transpired as regards Amaechi’s involvement in that Sanusi letter.
To put the records straight, we want to categorically state that:
1. A concerned and patriotic Nigerian who felt sufficiently troubled with what was happening then, gave a copy of the Sanusi letter to Amaechi in Amaechi’s capacity as the chairman of the Nigerian Governors’ Forum (NGF). Like Amaechi, we should appreciate that concerned Nigerian’s patriotism.
2. When Amaechi got the letter, he spoke with Sanusi who was still the CBN governor to confirm the authenticity of the letter. Sanusi confirmed to Amaechi that he wrote the letter. During their conversation, Amaechi made it abundantly clear to the then CBN governor that the bleeding of the nation had to be stopped, all non-remitted funds remitted and that he (Amaechi) was going to use the letter to do whatever is in the best interest of the nation and Nigerians, which was the stoppage of the non-remittance and the recovery of all the non-remitted funds from oil sale. The CBN Governor didn’t agree with Amaechi on the way forward.

3. Considering that the letter was given to Amaechi as Chairman of the Governors’ Forum, he shared the letter with his colleague governors first, and with Senator Bukola Saraki (now Senate President), who before and around that period was doing some work or/and investigation around the oil sector in the senate.
4. Around that period, a delegation from the United States of America government, from the offices of the Secretaries of State and Defense visited Amaechi in Port Harcourt to discuss the issue of oil theft in Nigeria. From their records, they gave Amaechi figures of billions of dollars (about $7 billion dollars, annually) that was being lost to oil theft in Nigeria. They were discussing the issue and figures of oil theft, and that was how the CBN governor’s letter to President Jonathan came up. In the presence of journalists covering the visit, Amaechi brought out the Sanusi letter to the visiting American delegation to buttress the point that Nigeria was losing far more money to non-remittance of proceeds from oil sale into the federation account, which everyone seemed to concur, was in itself, another form and another dimension to the issue of oil theft.
5. To suggest, infer or even extrapolate that Rt. Hon. Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi surreptitiously, clandestinely or underhandedly ‘leaked’ the CBN governor’s (Sanusi’s) letter is indeed most unfair, disrespectful and uncharitable to his person. Amaechi did what he did because he believed that the theft and corruption was just too much. He was propelled by his patriotic zeal to put Nigeria first, do what is in the best interest of the nation and Nigerians, and stop the bleeding and sucking of our collective resources by a tiny few. The mindboggling corruption revelations in the recent past, that is still ongoing clearly justifies and vindicates Amaechi’s stance on the issue and the actions he took. Faced with the same situation, under similar circumstances, Amaechi will not act differently. The good of Nigeria, putting the nation and Nigerians first, will always be his guiding principle.

The Court of Appeal on Thursday, May 5, reserved ruling on an appeal made by the leader of the Indigenous People Of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu.

At the hearing, counsel to the appellant, Chucks Muoma said the application billed for hearing challenges a Federal High Court ruling against a bail application by his client.

He said the ruling was granted as though it was the first appellant alone that made the application for bail.

But the director of Public Prosecution, Mohammed Diri, prayed the court to dismiss the application. Diri said that Kanu’s application lacked merit.

Having heard the submissions, the lead judge, Ahmed Aboki said the Appeal Court would reserve ruling on the application.

Aboki said the his team had another emergency case to attend to. He also said that a date for the reserved ruling would be communicated to the parties involved in the matter.

PoliticsSanusi: Obasanjo’s ‘letter " To Jonathan On ‘missing $20bn’ Was Leaked By Amaech by TheOnlyWiseMan(op): 8:18pm On May 04, 2016
Rotimi Amaechi, former governor of Rivers state and now minister of transportation, leaked former president Olusegun Obasanjo’s letter to former president Goodluck Jonathan on the “missing $20 billion” in December 2013, Muhammad Sanusi II has told Forbes.

Sanusi, as central bank governor, had written to Jonathan to raise the alarm over billions of dollars from oil sale not remitted to the federation account.

Obasanjo then followed up with his own letter titled “before it is too late” – and the letter was published in full by online newspaper, Premium Times, before it was republished by other outlets.

Sanusi was later suspended as CBN governor but he became emir of Kano while he was in court seeking that his suspension be declared illegal.

The emir of Kano revealed that Jonathan did nothing until Obasanjo wrote him the letter.

The emir also said Ben Bruce, senator representing Bayelsa east, told him that he had it on good authority that former president Goodluck Jonathan would jail him over the affair.

Narrating the $20 billion saga to Forbes Africa, Sanusi said that in 2012 and 2013, government revenue collapsed by $10 billion, without a collapse in oil prices or production capacity, adding that the CBN found a $49 billion revenue gap.

Shocked at the revelation, Sanusi said he wrote Jonathan, saying: “If this continues, we are going to have a big problem if the price of oil came down. We can’t protect interest rates, we can’t protect exchange rates, we can’t protect reserves.

“We may have to tighten money to prevent inflation, there will be unemployment, government will suffer – all of the things we are seeing today.”

OBASANJO’S LETTER PUSHED JONATHAN TO ACTION

Sanusi said nothing was done until Obasanjo wrote his famous open letter to Jonathan. In that letter, he now referred to a letter from the central bank governor.

“This was in August 2013, the president received the letter and did nothing. A few weeks after that, the finance minister called to say, governor, can we do some reconciliation on oil revenue numbers? I said minister, I report to the president.

“I have written to the president, if the president wants me to sit with you and do reconciliation, the president will tell me.

“After Obasanjo’s letter, all hell now broke loose. The letter was then leaked to online media, and it became public. That was when the president got angry and we then had to sit and do reconciliation.

NOBODY TOUCHES DIEZANI AND SURVIVES

“I knew that taking on NNPC was taking on the most powerful minister in Jonathan’s government, and nobody who had touched Diezani had survived. It was not a question of what would happen, I just didn’t care at that time. I did not want to go down in history as having seen this and kept quiet.

“After the first round of reconciliation, there was $29 billion that was explained. And how was that explained? Crude that was shipped by NNPC did not entirely belong to NNPC.”

He said some oil companies paid taxes and royalties in oil, and the NNPC sold this oil on behalf of FIRS, meaning FIRS got the money and not necessarily the federal government.

“No reasonable explanation for $20 billion, $6 billion was with NPDC that had not gotten to the federation account till date.

JONATHAN SAID I LEAVE OR HE LEAVES

“In the middle of all these, the president called me and said I should see him at 3pm. I turned up at 3pm and the entire place had been swept. There was no one apart from security services. I got to his office, it was just me and him. It was as if everybody had been asked to go.

“And so he says to me, he’s calling me because he is surprised that letter I wrote to him got to Obasanjo, I said I’m surprised too.
“He said he’s convinced that the letter went from the central bank to Obasanjo, and I had 24 hours to find who leaked the letter or sack somebody; the director who prepared the letter or my secretary and if I did not sack them, that was proof that I leaked the letter and therefore, I should resign.

“I said to him that I’m surprised that I’m being asked to resign for raising an alarm over missing funds and the minister in charge of the portfolio is not being asked to resign.

“From then I knew I had signed my equivalent for death warrant. But I said I was not resigning. He got very angry and said whether you like it or not, you’re going to leave that office, I cannot continue to work with you, either you or I will leave government.

JONATHAN IS NOT A LEADER THAT CAN KILL

“I was amused that leaking the letter is far more crime than leaking money. I went straight to the office of the principal secretary to the president, and I met him with a gentleman from Kano, who was foreign minister Ambassador Aminu Ali.

“I said to them, gentlemen, I’m coming to you because I just had a meeting with the president, and there were no witnesses, and the president had threatened me.

“I repeated what happened and told them I am going to tell people close to me, if anything happens to me, it is the president.

“I don’t think I was really in fear of my life. Even if you don’t like someone – Jonathan was not the kind of person that would have someone killed. He wasn’t that kind of leader.”

BEN BRUCE TOLD ME THEY’D JAIL ME

“I remember Ben Murray Bruce, who is now a senator, coming to me to say that he had it on good authority that if I went to the senate with my documents, I would be removed, investigated and imprisoned.

“Then I said, why would I be imprisoned, and he said, you know, you’ve worked in government. I have worked in government, if people really want to find something on you, in the central bank, five years, they would come and look, they would find something.

“I was like they would find it if I have done it. I mean they can plant something, but if haven’t done it, maybe somebody under me had done something that I wasn’t aware of.

“But in all my years at the central bank, to the best of my knowledge, I had done nothing that should put me in prison. However, I said to him, tell the president, from me, that if the punishment for going to the senate is prison, he doesn’t need to go through all of that, just ask him to tell me what prison he wants me to go to and for how many years, I’d drive myself there.”

– Ike Thankgod got the winner, eight minutes from time

Enyimba football club of Aba have recorded their second away victory in the Nigerian Professional Football League this season.

The People’s Elephants came from behind to defeat Kano Pillars at the Sani Abacha stadium.

Enyimba players celebrate after a game
Pillars took the lead in the 20th minute, when Rabiu Ali struck from a freekick to put his side ahead, as he ended a personal a run of 9 hours 45 minutes of play without a goal in the NPFL.

The first half ended 1 – 0 in favour of Pillars.

With the return from the break, the visitors began to pile the pressure right from the first blast of the whistle and were rewarded with a goal through Nzube Anaezemba in the 51st minute.

With just eight minutes from regulation time, Ike Thankgod struck to silence the Sani Abach stadium, as the Aba Warriors with all three points. It ended Kano Pillars 1 – 2 Enyimba.

It would be recalled that on April 24, the Nigerian league champions Enyimba secured their first away win of the season after a 1-0 win over Akwa United at the Godswill Akpabio International stadium.

A Christain Pyagbara well taken goal in the 38th minute was the difference between both teams.

I wrote an essay a few weeks ago saying that Donald Trump was unstoppable. I said he would win the nomination and then go on to win the election against Hillary Clinton.
The first has happened and the second will happen as well. The world needs Trump and I am with him all the way.
During the coming election debates he should do the Nigerian people a favour and ask Hillary Clinton one question.
Why did she and Barack Obama refuse to designate Boko Haram as a terrorist organisation until late 2014.
This was after they had slaughtered over 100,000 innocent Nigerians in the space of 4 years. Is Nigerian blood not red and do Nigerian lives not matter?
Donald Trump would never have made such a mistake or tolerated such evil.
If he had been the POTUS for the last 7 years and not Barack Obama Boko Haram would have been crushed long ago, the Fulani militias in Nigeria and the west African sub-region would not have been given free reign to kill, rape, pillage and destroy, there would have been no ISIL, Al Qaeda would have been history, there would be no war in Syria, Ghadaffi would still be alive and Libya would still have been at peace, the murder of the American Ambassador and four others in Benghazi would not have occured, the Muslim Brotherhood would never have won an election in Egypt, Iraq would be in better shape, Al Shabab would have been destroyed, Israel would be safer and Iran would not have been granted a nuclear arms deal.
Hillary Clinton was Sec. of State of America when all of these things happened or were initiated. She therefore has to bear as much responsibility for them as Barack Obama does.
Unlike Hillary Clinton and Barack Obama, when it comes to foreign policy, DonaldTrump is incapable of tolerating and accepting evil.
That is the difference between him and them. He knows what to do to the islamic terrorists and he will support any foreign government that will take a hardline against those that slaughter innocents on the name of God and those that wish to establish a new world caliphate in which non-muslims are slaughtered or turned into slaves.
Unlike Barack Obama he will not pamper the terrorists, encourage them in some parts and treat them with kid gloves. Instead he will wage a hard, full-scale, relentless and comprehensive war against them.
He will, like Russia's Vladimir Putin, see it as a battle of the forces of light against the citadels of darkness. He will view it as an end-time war between the sons and daughters of God and the emissaries and agents of satan.
He will decimate the ranks of the Philistines, the Amalekites, the Midianites and all the other vultures, vampires and blood-thirsty barbarians in our midst.
He will not support a Nigerian government that has a clear-cut religious and ethnic agenda, that seeks to shame and dehumanise Christians and that is attempting to restrict the spreading of the gospel of Christ.
He will not pamper and encourage a government that goes out of its way to persecute and destroy all those that it perceives as a threat and that it considers to be its enemies.
It is for this reason that I am an ardent fan and supporter of DonaldTrump. America needs him and so does the world.

PoliticsJonathan's Cousin Sues Nigerian Govt, Says He's Forced To Implicate Ex-president by TheOnlyWiseMan(op): 3:06pm On May 04, 2016
A cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan has sued the Nigerian government over his continued detention and the government’s refusal to charge him to court.
Robert Azibaola, a Niger-Delta activist, on Wednesday filed a suit before the Federal High Court, Lagos, challenging his detention by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission.
Joined in the suit as respondents are the EFCC, the Attorney General of the Federation, and the Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Mr. Azibaola has been in EFCC custody since March 23, after he was invited for questioning over a $40 million pipeline contract reportedly awarded by the Office of National Security Adviser, headed by Sambo Dasuki.
Mr. Dasuki is currently facing prosecution at a federal court.
In his suit, filed‎ through the law firm of Ebun-Olu Adegboruwa, Mr. Azibaola is asking the court to stop the federal government and the EFCC from applying for any new remand warrant against him from any court in Nigeria.
The applicant said the EFCC had established a pattern of using remand warrants to keep him in custody indefinitely.
He is also asking the court to hold that sections 293 and 294 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, which the EFCC is relying on to secure remand orders from Magistrate Courts were designed to deal with criminal offences attracting capital punishment, such as murder, armed robbery, kidnapping or treasonable felony.

Mr. Azibaola is seeking the court to hold that the attempt by the EFCC to force him to implicate Mr. Jonathan, is contrary to section 7 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, which has outlawed the practice of arresting a citizen as ransom for the alleged offense of another citizen.
The applicant claimed, in the suit, that he was commissioned by the federal government to execute an assignment “to navigate the Niger Delta to network with all stakeholders for the purpose of preventing oil pipelines vandalism, oil bunkering and crude oil theft”.
“The assignment was duly executed upon payment,” he stated.
“Robert is claiming that under section 8 of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, he should not be arrested or prosecuted for any civil contract or transaction.
“He thus contends that he is being persecuted purely on account of his blood relationship with ex-president Goodluck Jonathan and this wants the court to order his immediate release or that he should be charged to court for any offence against him.”
Mr. Robert also alleged that there are plans to keep transferring him from one state to another, upon the expiration of any particular remand warrant in one State, so as to renew such remand warrant in another and this keep him in custody indefinitely.

UPDATE ABOUT MAZI NNAMDI KANU CASE BY HIS DEFENSE COUNSEL

BIAFRA TIMES: EXPLOSIVE INTERVIEW WITH BARRISTER IFEANYI EJIOFOR ON JOHN TSOHO'S RULING OF 26TH-04-2016 BY BIAFRA WRITERS
Barrister Ifeanyi Ejiofor as the public must have known by now is the legal defense counsel to the Leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and two other defendants in the criminal case of treason charges slammed against them by the Federal government of Nigeria.
After the court proceedings of the Federal High Court, Abuja on the 26th of April, 2016, he granted a very high-powered interview to the duo of Chukwuemeka Chimerue and Anyikwa Kelechi Cynthia of Biafra Writers/BTV crew.
In this interview, he bared his mind on some critical issues ranging from the striking out of the application for the stay of proceedings by Justice John Tsoho of the Federal High Court, the case of masked witnesses, the celebrated illegal invasion of his client's prison room by the DSS, the recent motion for resolution raised by the EU Parliament and the alleged dragging of IPOB and his client to the ICC by some human rights activists over some unfounded allegations of inhumane treatment and the murder of five Hausa/Fulani's supposedly discovered by agents of the DSS.
INTERVIEW GOES AS FOLLOWS:

BIAFRA WRITERS: Good evening Sir, please can you enlighten the public with the ruling of the Federal High Court today?

BARR EJIOFOR: What actually came up today at the Federal High court was basically the ruling on the application for the stay of proceedings, and also recall that the application was premised on the fact that we have filed an appeal against the ruling of the court delivered on the 7th of March, 2016. You know on that 7th day of March, the court delivered only, where in the court sat on appeal against an order we met on the 19th of February, 2016.
So on the basis of that ruling delivered on that 7th day of March, we now filed an appeal challenging the jurisdiction of the court to proceed in the hearing of the case. Because if the court can make an order on the 19th of March and say that the trial of Nnamdi Kanu would be done in this form; that no masquerade, no witnesses should wear a facial mask and they will not testify behind the screen..., then and the matter was questioned too and adjourned to 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th of March for trial it would be a different situation.
On the 7th day of March the matter was brought for trial, the Prosecution team came and informed the court that the witnesses has refused to come to court and testify, that they will only come when the court gives an order directing that they be shielded at the point of giving their testimony; that is, they should be allowed to testify behind the screen. So invariably he(the Prosecutor) is now reopening an argument he made on the 19th of February which the court has ruled upon on that same day, and obviously, we understand that a game is going on but because ordinarily, the man wouldn't have mentioned the application for an order of submission because it was contained in the argument that was canvassed on the 19th of February, 2016, and a ruling delivered upon it.
So the court proceeded to hear him despite our vehement opposition to that effect and ruled. But in the same ruling, the court varied and moved against the ruling made on the 19th of February by now allowing the witnesses to testify behind the screen. The court then sat on an appeal against the order it made on the 19th of February which we believe cannot stand on the face of law.
So it was on that basis that we filed an appeal against that ruling at the Court of Appeal. Now there is no way this trial will continue in the mode prescribed by the court without the court delving into the subject of our appeal before the Court of Appeal. Because if the court says that we should proceed with the manner he ordered, then that means the trial will be conducted, and witnesses will give evidence behind the screen. And what we are challenging at the court of Appeal is that the High court has already made an order before then, directing that the witnesses would give evidence behind the screen.
So if we should proceed with the hearing, that means the decision or ruling that would be given at the Court of Appeal will be rendered derogatory. And under the rules of Courts of Appeals, if an application of this nature of stay of proceedings was made in a lower court; that is the Federal High court, and the court refused, the Court of Appeal allows you to place another application before it for consideration, and that was what we did today.
Confirming John Tsoho's refusal of our application today, we subsequently filed against the ruling at the Appeal court which we believe between now and Monday, we will get a date of hearing on that application for the stay of proceedings. And if the Court of Appeal begins hearing on the case, the Federal High court cannot do anything again, pending the determination of the appeal at the court of Appeal. So that was what really transpired today.

BIAFRA WRITERS: Does the striking out of the application for the stay of proceedings mean that masked witnesses will now testify behind the screen?

BARR EJIOFOR: : No, not actually masked witnesses, the masquerades has been ruled out, what they were really trying to do is that the witnesses will come in, stay in a private witness box, and then testify behind the screen so that people who are coming in to witness the proceedings will now be seeing the witnesses through the screen. So you cannot even see the person clearly, the person maybe hiding in space.
And that was not the order of the court made on the 19th of February, and by striking out this application for stay of proceedings, we have now filed a similar application for a stay of the proceeding of his trial at the court of Appeal which by next week, we must have gotten a date for the hearing on that application. So it doesn't mean that the trial can go on, you can understand that was why we kept a longer day to enable us resolve some of these issues at the court of Appeal and by the time they give us a date for hearing of the application, between that period, we must have finished the transaction of the record of appeal and then the motion in the Appeal court will now join the High court as a party. And once the court of Appeal starts the process, they(High Court) can't do anything concerning the case again, they can't be able to proceed on the matter again pending the outcome of the Court of Appeal because we would have joined the High court as a party.

BIAFRA WRITERS: Recently, there were reports that the Nigerian government is bent on making the prison uncomfortable for your client. What is your view on that?

BARR EJIOFOR: We have conducted preliminary findings on that and discovered that it was basically based on the pressure been mounted on the prison personnel by the Federal government and the Department of State Security Services(DSS), that they were acting upon the instructions given to them. Apparently that is a script being given by somebody, they are acting and we have in regards to that, let the international community to be aware of that. So we are not keeping mute, we understand what they are doing, they want to make prison environment uncomfortable for Nnamdi Kanu, so that he would start protesting in such a manner that they may come back to court and apply for his transfer to the DSS cell to enable them continue in punishing him. But we are taking care of that and in a space of time, we will make certain positions known to the public.

BIAFRA WRITERS: There were also reports of an attempted murder of your client, following the invasion of his prison room by agents of the DSS? Are you aware of this?

BARR EJIOFOR: Yes, you know that the DSS has no power to enter into prison in anyway, they have no powers under the Prison Act to enter prison custodies or invade the prison cell in any form. They can only achieve that, through mounting pressures on the prison personnel; that is the custodians of the prison to do whatever they want to do inside. But they can't enter there to carry out any act through the Prison Act. But what I understood is that they instructed the prison personnel to go inside his private cell to conduct search and harass him.
That was the instruction they carried out and we were reliably informed by our client, that they also came into his prison room on the 12th day of April, ransacked the premises of his cell, harassed him and subjected him to some ill-treatment which is quite offensive. So I might not be able to comment in details about this because we have other ideas we want to explore in that regard but possibly if we have other contraction we want to explain, we may now wish to make public as time progresses.

BIAFRA WRITERS: Recently, the EU Parliament raised a motion for resolution, calling on the Nigerian government to ensure the humane, fair treatment and trial of prisoners, including Nnamdi Kanu, what in your view is the positive side this entails for your client?

BARR EJIOFOR: It's in the view on the antecedents of the Federal government, because a government that said to have been clamouring to believe in the rule of law, and practising democracy, and in the same government we have people's right been grossly violated on a daily basis and so what do you expect the international community to do?, and they are following the charade trial of Nnamdi Kanu, they are following it everyday, and at one time or the other, we petitioned them and the relevant super powers to also keep eyes to what is happening in Nigeria and they are following up the case in Nigeria. So moving the motion, I think, is a way of reminding them their responsibilities under the constitution and under the relevant international conventions. Therefore it is about reminding them of their obligations under the relevant international conventions of which they are party to, so that they can obey and respect human rights and ensure fair trial. Are you talking about a country where a President in a media chat informed the whole world that Nnamdi Kanu cannot be granted bail? So at that moment, don't you know what it means when he said that he cannot be granted bail?, at that moment Nnamdi Kanu became a political prisoner. So that's what it means. And in other words, Nnamdi Kanu is presently detained today, not by the order of the Federal High Court but by that of Mr. President. This actually informed why we went to the ECOWAS Court to inform them of what is happening in Kanu's case.

BIAFRA WRITERS: A group of activists has reportedly dragged IPOB and your client as its leader to the ICC over some allegations of inhumane treatment on Nigerians with the alleged killing of five Fulani men. What do you have to say about this?

BARR EJIOFOR: The point I want the public to note is that they should understand that this is a clear case of diversion of attention. They want to raise this allegations to divert public attention from the real thing happening in court. But we have no problem with that. And now that they have filed this frivolous application before the ICC which are mostly unfounded at this time, until when we have access to it and I believed I had a conversation with our foreign partner today, and he mentioned to me that he has not been served with any process, so until we receive the copies of what they filed in the ICC, we will study it and know what they are talking about.
But I want you and the public at this stage to note that the machinations from the DSS has always been on relying on falsehood. They have been feeding the public with all sorts of lies. Okay let me ask you this question, the DSS said that they went to Isiukwuato forest in Abia state and discovered 55 shallow graves. Now, who conducted the test, who verified that allegation, who identified that those people found dead were Fulani's and who also confirmed that they were killed by IPOB? Now, they are talking about 5 shall graves, they also have about 50 other shallow graves there whose identities has not been determined and without even verifying them, they now arranged for some people that will go to the ICC to file a petition.
Now, what about the Indigenous People Of Biafra (IPOB) that were massacred in a broad day light? They have not commented on it. What about the people that were killed at Isi Uzo-Uwani in Enugu state by Fulani herdsmen yesterday, nobody has commented on it. Neither the DSS nor the Nigerian government has commented on it. They are fully aware of these atrocities going on day by day, nobody is commenting about it, nobody has dragged anybody to the international community but we are talking about serious crimes committed by people on daily basis.
So let them not be deceived by their antics because it's a clear case of diversion of attention. So long as this matter is concerned, people should not be deceived by their antics. We understand the game and the fact is that whatever they are doing, we are ten steps ahead of them and I believe in the right judicial process and that very soon our case will be proved in court. Especially now we are in court of Appeal and we will get justice in court. I don't want people to be distracted by whatever they are doing in the ICC, let us be served with a copy of what they have filed and we are going to respond approximately.
We have several cases we have filed against them and as I speak to you, we are also filing further applications against them in another court on the issue of the rights of the 2nd and 3rd defendants. So let people don't be deceived by whatever they are doing. If I may put further posers to this, where are the video evidence of the shallow graves they discovered in Aba? I hope you remember at one time or another, there was a clear case of people that were buried in a burrow pit in Aba. Has the DSS commented on it? What about the people that were shot when they were conducting their morning prayers. So the point is that the public should be aware and alert. I don't know where we are heading to in this country.

BIAFRA WRITERS: Finally Sir, what would be your word of advice and encouragement to millions of Biafrans out there earnestly following this case as the uncertainty unfolds?

BARR EJIOFOR: I will urge them to still remain calm. I have a reason for saying this because everything they are doing now, all their machinations, and designs, plans, antics and manipulations are to provoke the Biafrans to go into activities that may be untowards to what we are doing in court. So I will urge them to remain calm. Remaining calm at this present situation will be of the best interest to what we are doing in court today because IPOB cannot be identified with violence and they are also not known as being violent. So I wouldn't want them to be provoked to go into things that will cause or destroy the matter before the court. So am pleading for their calmness, the international community is watching, the African Union is watching, the ECOWAS is equally watching, and I can assure them that they have shown interest at the present, they are showing concerns about what is happening in this country because we are letting them know the truth on daily basis. We are bringing things to bare to the public and the international communities know.
Because so many things are been covered in this trial and we are trying to expose it. You see what happened in court today, where a judge suddenly started attacking me for no just cause. This is a person that said he is a Judge and he knows what he is doing in court, because he was acting a script given by somebody, a mandate to ensure that Nnamdi Kanu is convicted and locked up for many years. And we said "No" to that, it cannot happen. If you say you have no interest in the matter, what I have said to the public is enough reason for you to disqualify yourself from continuing with the trial. A reasonable judge will say; " I no longer wish to be involved in this case, I have been accused enough, I don't have any interest in this matter, let me go." And then assign it to a new judge that can handle it. But he cannot do that because he has a special interest in the matter. But we say "no", he cannot handle that matter. And so long as we are concerned, he cannot handle it because we have no interest in him.

BIAFRA WRITERS: Alright, thank you very much Sir for keeping time with us, that will be all.

BARR EJIOFOR: Thank you too, you're welcome.
