To set things straight, active sex doesn't ensure the longevity of prostate gland. It doesn't even guarantee that - such a sexually active person won't be diagnosed with prostate cancer.
Researches made, have established the fact that - even those who are very active sexually, ends up having prostate cancer eventually.

"Lifestyle" and "genetic factors" are what really determines whether or not an individual would be diagnosed with prostate cancer. Both influences the presence and buildup of carcinogens in the semen.
And to be precise, the presence and accumulation of carcinogens in semen - are what induces carcinogenesis which causes prostate cancer.

Those reverend fathers who don't have an active sex life, are doing fine, and their prostate health is superb.

Buhh I believe humans doesn't need to have a sexual outlet. It isn't a necessity. There are people, infact many people, who are doing very fine and healthy, without any form of sexual outlet.

Although on health grounds, it is valid to have a sexual outlet, so as to expel semen which could be carcinogenic, in order to prevent prostate cancer.
With this, I'm not making a point that - all semen contains carcinogens. Some men, have the build up of carcinogens in their semen, probably due to lifestyle or genetic factor, and for such men, having a sexual outlet is appropriate and healthy - for them to get rid of the carcinogen - containing semen.

Having multiple sexual partners, visiting brothels, masturbation - aren't healthy choices of sexual outlets though.
