Bro if u are familiar with VO questions it seems they are mostly interested in monthly income. It must av been a misunderstanding on ur part bro

Ok bro I dont know it all, maybe I didnt understand it.

So incase of next time, bearing in mind that I have boutiques and supermarkets, if asked whats your monthly income I should say 4 million naira, and if asked whats my monthly profit I should also say 4 million naira? Is this what you are trying to say?

you have a good standing bro...but after perusal of your story I feel the VO is not satisfied with ties you have with your family (family ties) i.e staying apart . Unfortunately this is not majorly a problem but the Nigerian factor is what came into play. maybe next time you represnt your story properly and take copies of your families British passport along, also try and build on ties with your family..(I mean something to show u live together)

Bro in my file I had my wife and children British passport copies, support letters from wife and my UK lawyer. I even included all the Nigerian visas that were issued to my wife/children each time they visit Nigeria. I included old pics and recent pics we took in Nigeria last December when my family visited me.
I choose to live in Nigeria because I have successful businesses here, If I live in the UK I may never make the kind of money I make in Nigeria. At first my wife was against it bc she was making much more money then, but I stood my ground, we visit each other yearly. Now I have successful companies and properties within and outside Nigeria, my wife is marveled and she's planning to move permanently here within 5 years time after we pay off our mortgage in the UK.
Thats why I am angry that they didn't open my file to even look at my documents, they only requested for my passport.

How can a country denied visa for this kind of profile.
Please dont listen to anybody that says family ties or whatever, you qualified even more than 100%.
USA is just a normal country they are just hyping them nothing special.
Please can you please forgot them and apply to a country that will check and confirm your stand/documents.

That's y they have been giving visas to fake applicants who can cook stories for them and now they are complaining about people crossing their border to Canada, they are affecting Canada with their application policy by deciding genuine applicant only by interview which by verifying documents would have saved them from those shit

The thing tire me, they did not even look at any of my documents, it pained me because I have documents from my lawyer in London, support letters from my wife, family photos, affidavit from my nigeria lawyer, bank statements from 5 banks all with good balance, lots of documents to show I have several properties within and outside Nigeria.

Nigerians should forget about USA for now because they no longer want us in their country. Last week I met a former collegue they declined his visa application, he came with his wife and 3 kids, they have been to USA twice and back, they applied for renewal but was rejected.
I dont blame them, I blame the Nigerian politicians, if this economy is doing well not many Nigerians will be interested to apply for USA visa. Bc of the crowd they authomatically assume that every Nigerian is poor and desperate to run away from here

Bro nah we de fall our hand, some people are too desperate and we don't even know how to code things. Everybody wants to apply at once, as many times as possible to secure US visa. The mistake u made was saying you earn N4million after u changed it to N400K monthly. She felt u lied & because of the large crowd she didn't have time to give you a chance for defense

Bruv theres a difference between sales income and profit.
The first question was how much do you make in a month, I said between 2.5 to 4 million Naira monthly depending on the volume of sales.
The second question was, how much of this is your profit, I said my profit is between 400k to 500k monthly.

I sale goods, my sales volume or income is not the same as profit, this is easy to understand na?

I was denied visa 2 days ago but I still don't know why I was denied, and no I wasn't desperate as I have visas for SA, UK, Turkey etc.
It was supposed to be a family vacation, in NYC 4 nights, NJ 4 nights at my aunt's house and 2 nights in Arizona At the Grand Kenyon.
This is how the interview went...

I greeted the woman but she didn't mind me, she asked for my passport which I handed over to her. she should be above 50 years old, in window 6 or 7, I can't remember. Next time if I ever go back I won't greet them, it seems they don't accept greetings...

In fact when she called me I was happy bc she approved visa for the lady that she interviewed before me. In my heart I didn't want to go to the first lady in window 6 or so, she's very young pretty babe, while I was in the long queue, she interviewed about 7 people and all were refused lol.
So back to my interview, the lady asked where are you going to in USA.
I mentioned New York, New Jersey and Arizona.
She asked have you traveled before, I said yes I have traveled to 10 countries in Asia, Europe and Africa, I presently have 3 visas on my passport.
She asked whats your monthly income, I said between 2.5 to 4 million Naira monthly depending on the volume of sales.
She said is that profit, I said no profit is between 400k to 500k monthly.
She asked if I was traveling alone, I said no my wife and kids live in the UK, I was traveling to London to meet them so all of us will travel together.
She said sorry I am refusing your visa, the reasons and details are in this paper, she handed me the paper, I left...

My question is, why was my visa refused? She did not look at any of my documents apart from my passport.
I am not part of the Nigerians that are running away from Nigeria, if I wanted to run away I will be living in UK since 13 years ago bc my wife is British and I have UK visa. But I choose to live in Nigeria even though my wife used to question this decision but I always asked her, is it bc am a black man? If you married an America or Australian will you mandate him to relocate to your country? I am not a billionaire but I am happy that by living in Nigeria and having some businesses here I am helping to grow the economy. Even if its a pure water business or akara that am selling, every month I pay my staffs so I am directly or indirectly feeding many families. I am a serial entrepreneur, every year I travel to top tourist destinations in Europe and Africa and I always come back within 2 or 3 weeks, all the visas and stamps are in my passport, we wanted to go to USA bc I wanted to know if its worth the hype. Besides america is the worlds most important country, I feel I need to visit there even if its for one week.

Why was my visa refused? Is is bc of the cities we intend traveling to or what, NEW YORK, NEW JERSEY AND ARIZONA?
Anyways I do not blame these people, if you see the crowd at the embassy you will put in measures to stop as many people as possible. I know for a certainty these countries can NEVER give visa to every Nigerian/African that qualifies for the visa otherwise their won't be enough space to contain everyone.

We will be spending our annual family vacation in Turkey and Greece, if I am in a good mood in December or early next year I may reapply the USA visa but for now I still dey vex bc I shouldn't struggle to get visa to go and spend my hard earned money in someone's country.

Oh great then... Goodluck

After much considerations, I've decided not to edit anything on my already submitted application form because it may cause me to schedule another appointment date which I don't want. I clicked on the option to CREATE A NEW APPLICATION, the system brought a fresh Application ID, I had to close the window right away because I don't want to cause any problems or delays with my application.

I will stick with Hilton Hotel which I stated in my application, i am sure they won't ask for proof of hotel reservation since they don't encourage applicants to pay for hotel/airfare till they receive their visa. Correct me if am wrong.

The only thing I want right now is to see/crosscheck my already submitted visa application form to be sure that every info is correct, with UK visa application process its easy but with the USA method I did not see any option to print my visa application.

If anyone knows how I can view my already submitted application form please guide me so I can just have a look, I submitted it the same day I traveled out of the country on business and now that I am back I wanted to review everything to be sure, my interview is just 2 days time.

Just a note to you... don't pay for hotel or flight before getting the visa secondly follow @omobendel advice just to be on the safe side you should fill another form.

Thanks I will follow @omobendel advice and fill another form right away.
However, the hotel reservation can be canceled for free which is why I choose the new hotel.
Thanks very much for helping out

Hello house, my interview is on Thursday and I want to update some information on my already submitted application.

My wife wanted us to stay at Hilton NYC so I used Hilton hotel address while filling the visa application but last week I discovered cheaper hotels in New York which I have already paid. Now I want to remove Hilton Hotel from my already submitted visa application and don't know how to do it. I have logged into my account but these are the only options available:

1. VIEW CONFIRMATION PAGE
2. CREATE A NEW APPLICATION

Someone should please guide me on how to see my already submitted form so I can change hotel address, thanks very much yall

Thanks a lot bro, before your response I was able to do it through http://ustraveldocs.com/ng/ng-niv-visaapply.asp which took me to the main visa application page: https://ceac.state.gov/GenNIV/Default.aspx So I was able to complete the online application successfully.

However, Ive been trying to book an appointment but I cant create an account as a new user, each time I try I get the below message:

Your request cannot be processed at this time. The site administrator has been alerted.
User could not be created. Please ensure First Name and Last Name are entered as they are in your passport.

What could be the problem?
I even tried to add my First Name and Middle Name in he first name field but it didnt work, I also entered just my first name but that one no work as well. Is anyone here facing same challenge?

Pls help a brother out.
Thank you

After I wrote the above I did online searching and found out that many people all over the world are facing similar problems. I followed the instruction I saw on a website, entered my email address as if I forgot my password and a temporary password was emailed to me. I am surprised because I haven't used this website before and I haven't applied for USA visa before. It seems when you are filling the online visa form the system automatically registers you, I cant think of any other explanation.

Anyway I have been able to schedule an appointment and I thank you all for your help/assistance.
I will now concentrate on my job/business. I will frequent here when my appointment date is near.
God bless

Good that you have an idea of how visa application works generally... you should take time out to go through this thread it will help you a lot...
Visa fee is N56700.00 visit any GTB to pay and make sure you go with your international passport and photocopy of your data page (international passport) and inform them you're applying for a B1/B2 visa after that you will login into this website below;
www.ceac.state.gov for filling the ds160 form, which you must read carefully and calmly.
www.ustraveldocs.com is for scheduling an appointment with the U.S Embassy for interview.
remember to visit the U.S Embassy website page for more information.

Thanks very much bro for replying I appreciate.
Usually when i travel it's mostly to buy goods so the companies send me invitation letter and for UK visas my wife and daughter sends me invitation letter. But in this case we are travelling to USA for vacation and will be staying at Hilton Hotel New York for 4 nights b4 visiting other states. Should we book the hotel and use the reservation as IV or should I tell my aunt in NJ to send me IV?
I want to pay the visa fee Today or tomorrow morning and I need as much info as possible b4 I will submit my application.

Hello house I want to visit USA in August and need guidance on how to apply for the visa.

1. Please how do I apply for a visitors/tourist visa to USA? What's the website?

2. Should I pay the visa fee online or physically at the bank?

3. Should i pay the visa fee first before applying for visa and how do I schedule for appointment?

4. Should my wife and daughter write letter of support to say that we are visiting USA for 2 weeks and will return to the UK immediately after our visit? My wife, daughter, friends and my inlaws writes this kind of letter each time am applying for UK visa.

5. Please someone should give me step by step guide please.

Let me give brief info about my situation.

I am married with a daughter. My wife is white British and lives in UK with my 12 years old daughter. They will easily get their visa from the American embassy in London while i process mine from Nigeria.

The plan is i will join them in UK so we travel to USA from London.

HOW WE MET
We met online and married at Ikeja marriage registry. I applied for UK settlement visa which was declined but i applied years after my financial circumstances improved so i was granted visa so i visit UK WHENEVER i want. I presently have 5 years UK visa which was issued last 2 month's.

Everyone asks why can't i join my family and live permanently in uk? Well when I wasn't making much money in Nigeria i wanted to move to UK but I now have lots of businesses in Nigeria so i can't abandon my businesses. My wife have agreed to move to Nigeria permanently within few years after we payoff our mortgage. She understands that i love Nigeria too much and is also aware that i prefer to live here so i can create jobs for my people. Initially she was upset but i stood my ground and convinced her, she also understands that there are more opportunities in making serious money here.

My wife and daughter visited me in Nigeria last Christmas and I visit them at least once yearly.

WHERE WE WILL VISIT IN USA
1. NYC 3 NIGHTS (grand zero, Empire State building, )
2. My aunt's house in NJ 4 nights
3. Arizona 3 nights (GrandCanyon etc)

MY TRAVEL HISTORY
I import alot of goods into Nigeria and Ghana and within the last 3 years i have visisted Turkey, Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, UK, Ghana, Dubai, India, Gambia etc.

Thanks for your anticipated cooperation.
