Also, we should have done this DECADES ago. Maybe we would have eventually been forced to develop the beginings of a domestic industry by the 1990's , maybe not.

If subsidy removal freed up forex, functional 4 local refineries would dont a excellent Job

Using subsidy removal to cover forex backlog is like parking your car n deciding to trekk, high revenue would have sorted the backlog with ease nd convenience

the govt could have upscale productivity and ensure Farmers regain access to Farm as more production from oil and agric will foster higher revenue that will reflect impact

Judging from experience, it’s obvious a gradual removal can’t work. Do it at once and face the consequences. That is what Tinubu did.
