I salute your courage and appreciate your effort on those birds, keep up the good work. I also run a mini poultry farm of 150layers, presently i have 120 left due to some mistakes made by me. I found been a poultry farmer very interesting.

@Hi clothiers, the cash you have at hand will determine the set up. For instance if you have like 200,000, construction, buying of pullets(day old chicks) and feeding up to laying period and vaccination can take up to that amount with 100birds for a start.
Presently, i started with that amount, my birds were delivered to me on the 6th of june and they are doing very well with enough heat and continuos check both day and night.

Have they been given any vaccination or medication as at today. On arrival they ought to have taken a vaccine been put in their eyes known as i.o or lasota together with milk(optional) and glucose.

Am new in nairaland and saw your great project which i really appreciate, but to be on the saver side why don't you start with less than a thousand birds in order to gather more xperience. And should in case you need more pullet in the nearest future, you can order for it direct from obasanjo hatcheries in ota, i'll give you the manager's number because am also a small poultry farmer.
