One of my ears has a smaller hole than the other one, so I switched the ear bud for one ear and left the there one the same.

I will try to change both when it arrives again.

What makes the TBNS one better than the TWS1 pro?

Basically the same in terms of audio quality, but the former has ANC and I think transparency mode. While the tws1 Pro does not, however the tws1 Pro has a better battery, and a better waterproof rating

I will say that I didn't really notice any form of noise cancellation on the previous set.

Perhaps I just have superhuman hearing.

There's passive and active NC. the tws1 Pro has the passive one (isolation). However you won't notice unless you choose the right rubber bud that fits your ear size. It must be a perfect fit. Try this when the order comes

I don remember. What the user did was to put the good one out and put the bad one in the case. The next thing he did was to tap the touch sensor of the bad one several time until it synced after a while. Do it gently so you don't destroy the charging pin.

Option 2 that I saw was to hold the two buds out and place your hands on the two buds touch sensor simultaneously for 8-15 secs. It should cancel all pairing data from inside the buds. It will reset it. I can't find the comment to screenshot as I stumbled on it. But this is what I remember to the best of my knowledge

The phones see them as two different Bluetooth devices, and even when I connect both in their different states to the same phone, I can't get two of them to work at the same time, tapping on one toggles it's active state. It's really frustrating.

This is my unfortunate situation right now.

the two buds are usually synced to each other from the factory, what happened is that they've lost connection. You'll have to connect them together. But, you will have to make sure the defunct one is indeed charged.

I once saw a solution to this online. Try googling the problem

Open your Jumia app, go to account (the option is below), go to orders. Locate the order. You wlli see the request a return option

In the past, Jumia used to do a quality control by calling back few days after you buy, to make sure what you ordered is functioning well.

Request for the return this night. There is a time limit. They'll either refund your money or replace it. Jumia is OK. No fear.

But before you that. Google the problem. You find the solution and you'll see there may be nothing wrong with it

Just got delivery of my Edifier TWS1 Pro.

The sound is good, the controls work.

The only problem is there is no sound during calls.

I have tried two different devices but I cannot hear anything during calls.

If you switch it to speaker or to phone, you can hear the sound but once you switch to Bluetooth, you cannot hear anything.
