Business / Re: Football (+/Other Sports) Betting Season 18 ➜ ➜ ➜ by TheStrongest: 10:21am On Feb 17
Make sure you have a good source of income while trying your luck with bets.

Also, in betting you can't be too careful. If you like double chance the double chanced, you can't be too careful. The idea of carry plenty small odds in one ticket is a recipe for failure.

I believe the statement "Less is More" is also applicable in sports betting.

And don't be afraid to take risks. Risks gives you bigger odds, which in turn makes you play fewer games to reach your targeted odds.

An example is over 1.5, many times we already know the team that would mostly likely score the over 1.5 in the match. Why not bet on that team to score over 1.5 instead? You'll get a better deal in terms of odds. It is an increased risk, but betting itself is risky. Take the risk..

Like most things, frequency matters a lot in sports betting too. Like in football, most of the goals are scored in the second half of the game. Playing a second half over would give you bigger odds than playing just over.

Over 1.5, many times these overs are scored in one half. Playing something like Under 1.5 in both halves "NO" would give you a bigger odds than direct over 1.5.

This is an increased risk, but lesser games for you.

Let me leave you guys with some options that has been successful recently for me.

1. Over 1.5 2nd half..
2. Team Over/Under..
3. Both halves under 1.5 "No".
4. A winger/midfielder having over 0.5 or over 1.5 shots in a match.
5. Team Over/under in a quarter(basketball).

Have a plan and a target. Have a weekly budget, and a projected ROI.
Stick to your plan, play to your strength.

Hi, is this thread still active? I want to travel to CIV for the Afcon group stages. I plan to travel by road on the 12th from Lagos. I will like to go with a group of like minded people and not alone. Has any plan been made here? Can we create one within the next few days? How can we contact each other and move this forward?
That would be great..
Do you have an estimate of the budget one should have for the trip? I'd love to know that, it would help me decide.

You can't compare the wire with breaking bad.

Breaking bad wins hand's down. More orthodox.

The first time I watch breaking bad when it first came out. I was still a teenager in secondary school i believe.
I couldn't get passed season 1

Because then it was all about cd and dvd player when we go to buy cassette..we always want it to be kicho, kicho chinese films or action movies with guns and fight on every scenes.

So when one of my friend exchange me this breaking bad season 1 I found it odd.
Because I thought it was going to be like Xena
Or Hercules. But I was wrong.
All they do was just talk and talk no guns and all. grin

I dumped it until I became properly ripe and matured.

I no longer find action films with enough guns fight and anime's interesting any longer.
Infact they bore me to death... like fast and furious and the rest.

That was from 2010

I noticed I now preferred a new genre of classical movies and series.
With matured cast and enough dialogues, twist and dept than teenager's movies.
Mind you I am still a young adult.

When I watched the wire the season 1 was promising even with kids everywhere slinging dΓ³pe and all. But it later went sour when I noticed they keep changing the lead cast role up and down.
Almost alike reoccurring scenes no much suspense.

Setting up different Dea unit in every season the series doesn't have direct direction like breaking bad.
It should be more than just chasing drug dealers, it should be diverse...

It didn't evolved, it got so boring that they had to introduce so many kids at the end of the seasons. Like how can matured Series with matured cast get filled with kids? ( Everything became disorganized)

But that can't be said from breaking bad that went a straight way.

Breaking bad is the goat, well scripted no gloop holes.

Better call saul broke out from it.
A movie el camino also broke out from it.

Well, that is your viewpoint and your opinion. In my own opinion, The Wire >> Breaking Bad. Breaking Bad won't be in my top 10 list.. Mr Robot >> Breaking Bad in my books..

I guess as individuals we view from different lenses. That's what makes debate interesting.

Cheers πŸ₯‚

My own opinion
I enjoyed The Wire more than Breaking Bad. I'm in the last season of Breaking Bad, and I'm just forcing myself to finish it..

I don't see the hype.
Maybe my expectations were beyond the roof, but I can't see anything. It's a good drug show, but I don't think it's my kind of show.

I no just like Walter White at all...

Arsenal is a big team, don't you think the FA would have fixed them to win the league at least twice since 2004?

But some of your people still found a way to insult me and my country in that thread because they see everything as a competition... In the end the thread was derailed by your people.

For example, you'll never find South Africans engaging in tribal wars, religious bigotry and gender wars amongst themselves... We may joke about each other, but it ends there... Those things are more of your people's style.

I was even warned by some nairalanders about how toxic this forum is when I first joined... Your people like fighting with fire, but they don't like it when the same fire is thrown back at them and the sooner you guys stop with this competitive mentality, the better... Someone would post an innocent thread, but you guys will see it as a competition.

And if you guys don't want other nationalities participating in this thread, kindly draft a memorandum of demand to seun and ask that nairaland be applicable to only Nigerians... Because your entitlement mentality over this forum is appalling and sometimes I wonder if you'd be okay if Americans were to remind you every minute of how Facebook and Twitter are American social media platforms.
Facebook and Twitter is different from Nairaland..
Nairaland mostly reports news and happenings about Nigeria, there's a huge difference here.

See Reddit, it's a worldwide forum that covers various topics from around the world. Nairaland is somewhat like a news forum in my opinion.

And I'm not saying other nationalities shouldn't share posts about themselves and culture. Besides, Seun has the ultimate power..

What I still stand on is that the said monika is problem.

Yeah, Nigerians are disunity along tribal and religious lines, gender sometimes. It is terrible. And because Nigerians are doing it doesn't mean it is right and should be promoted.

You saying you lost your composure because that's how many Nigerians behave, is not a good reason to lose your composure. Don't do wrong because others are doing it. That's part of the problems we're suffering here.

But that aside, my stand still remain on that particular monika, he's no good..

Do have enjoy the rest of the evening..
Don't lose your good side for any reason.
Take care of you.

The op didn't quote any exchange rate, but he copied the entire story from some website and if there's someone you should scolding, then it should the writer and publisher of the story.

Most of you guys always feel under attack when a South African post something about SA... If I was always fighting fire with fire like him, I'm sure you wouldn't be saying my threads and posts are great.

Most of the time I choose to be the bigger person... Even in the last few days, your people were busy deliberately mentioning me in other threads about SA just so they could find a reason to start bashing me... But I refused to give them what they wanted by ignoring their mentions.

And just because this forum is called nairaland, it doesn't mean it's only for Nigerians, else it would've been applicable to only Nigerians... So far I don't see any harm the op did by posting about Siya Kolisi.
You are being economical with the truth. Why would a SA news outlet/blog quote the price in Naira? Is Naira a global currency? Think.

He obviously added that part to stir a rift.
Like I said earlier, he's notorious for such behaviour. You've obviously chosen not to see that part of him.

Also, Nairaland is a Nigerian forum, being on the internet, and accessible to all doesn't stop it from being a Nigerian forum.

That monika is trouble..
I have not seen ANY reasonable debate or comment from him. Even when he posts something that would help others understand SA more, he ends up sowing discord in the comment sections.

The idea should be to promote SA unique culture, not trying to do a comparison et al..

There was a post you made about SA tribes and their different attires. That was very educating and an exposition. I didn't know about that prior to that post.
That's what I'm talking about, shining light on the unique tribes and cultures in SA..

The monika on the other hand always post for comparison, obviously Nigerians would rise up to defend their country.

Romance / Re: Siya Kolisi Could Earn Huge On Onlyfans - SA Ladies (PICS) by TheStrongest: 9:58pm On Nov 13, 2023
Samantha124:
But it's your people who'd usually start with insults towards him or SA and he's just defending himself and his people.

All his threads are about SA and they don't bash Nigeria in anyway, but your people would always find a reason cause division... Ask me, I know because they'd do the same thing on my threads and most of the time I'd just choose to ignore or report them... Sometimes, I'm forced to defend myself.

They'd just choose to deliberately go off topic just so they could derail our threads just because we're South Africans... We come in peace, but your people are always looking for violence... And you're right, in the beginning I was just a humbled angel, but constant insults from your people for no reason forced me to grow horns and toughen up.

Go check the first page and you'll see that it was your people who started with the insults.... It's more of a Nigerian thing because even if someone from a particular tribe in Nigeria opens a thread relating to his or her tribe, instead of being united as a country, you guys would find a way to cause division by insulting the person and his tribe.
At the end of the day we're all Africans. Even though we share different values and culture sometimes, we're all Africans.

I'm particular about that very monika, he's always sowing seeds of discords in his posts. This is a Nigerian forum, some SA news are not much relevant here, likewise some Nigerian news aren't relevant over there.

The OP quoted the exchange rate outrageously to cause a rift.

I don't post frequently on here, but I know that some users here are no good. The same way I knew how great your earliest posts and comments were.

Maybe you're only responding based as a form of self defence, but that particular monika is just doing it for problems.

We should all embrace peace and growth. Let's not pass on this hatred to our kids..

Peace!

I've noticed that this same moniker always post things and ends up discrediting Nigeria ALWAYS!.

He never post with good intents. Why do the mods keep enabling him and his likes?

SA are not the only Africans on this forum, why are they the only ones causing trouble and fighting others on here?

What is Seun even doing sef?

Person post say 13million Rands is equal to 570billion Naira, is that not enough reason to throw away the post inside dustbin?

Shey SA no get their own forum wey these guys go dey do their things?
