In Sociology and Anthropology, we were told that no culture is superior that all culture are the same. So it's height of foolishness and a total display of illiteracy if you used your own way of life as a yardstick to measure or judge others.

For your culture to frown upon eating of dog, or see eating of dog as a taboo, doesn't mean that dog is not edible or other culture do not welcome it or there's anything wrong with those who eat it.

In this thread I have seen how people used their culture to judge others because eating of dog meat is seen as a taboo in their culture.

In most culture, the cow meat and the goat meat we eat mostly here, is seen as a taboo. You dare not kill a cow or goat .

The level of illiteracy exuded by alot of people here is saddening and it clearly shows that we don't read.

So my dears,

God will punish any idiot or any fool that will come here and mention calabar or Akwa Ibom. You'll tell me if the meat you eat also is not an animal, or the one you eat was approved by God, while dog meat was disapproved by God.

Those who are free to shout calabar or Akwa Ibom are those who hasn't eaten any type of animal meat including fish. If you eat cow meat, fish, goat, chicken etc and you come here to bash Akwa Ibom people, God will punish you.

Only true vegetarians and fruitarians can condemned eating of dog meat and it make sense, not some uselesssss idiotic nonentities that eat cow meat and goat meat voraciously.
Well said.
First wise thing I have seen you post. Keep it up

A typical gibberish from a rejected idiot. it is easy to identify a biology disaster, a wasted putrid from your father end up becoming you, it wasn't my fault that you are such a destitute , he called it destiny but I named you misfortune. As a wretched son of that you are, You end up dragging your matatu Father who seek asylum in ivory coast and the same time Ghana inorder to put food on your table into this mess, I expect you to respect him and let him marry miserable destiny in peace. Your father being a transporter isn't bad perse , the only problem with it is , he is a just a wannabe who is afraid of doing such a lucrative job in Nigeria , he is so scared of competition back home therefore Ghana is the next heaven that save his arse .believe me or not , even if your father spend 100 years in Ghana , he will still remain an economic migrant , and don't think the laws that was effected during aliens order of 1969 has been swept under the carpet . Ghana has an independent state can still effect it if the need arises, ivory coast is even worse. Just pray watara opposition party is not voted to power , you father business will be a sorry case .

Next time , give your father the phone and let him chart me , he needs some interview , at least you can't be daft and the same time stupid .

I wanted to know if your father is paying tax for his supposed run transport business . An economic migrant like him might be affording tax you know .
where is your Yoruba parent from?

1. It was better undoubtedly but the system was exploited e.g. Oyo empire

2. Your point is false the women were equally represented in the democracy you had the:
Umunna ( Male )
Umuada ( Female )
And another one for the children and youths that i've forgotten the name of but essentially everybody was represented and voted democratically by the village people and don't even bring that Eze nonsense because Eze isn't a kingship title or monarchial but a priesthood system rather

3. The Igbos did have large states e.g. Nri Kingdom, Aboh, Kingdom and Aro Kingdom were all large polities and not based at clan level as you wrongly claimed

4. I'll just ignore that one doesn't even begin to make sense how is it a lack of modernization please elaborate
1. I'll chose the Oyo empire over the present demoncrazy anytime anyday

2. historical books say something else. even Chinua Achebe's book say something else
women were not equal to men in precolonial Igboland and you know that well
and osu and ohu is still functional till now plus why do women have to drink her dead husband's corpse water?
why was there and still is female disinheritance?

3.im talking mostly most were clan level
those aren't even large kingdoms
Oyo alone was bigger than all of them combined

4.for modernisation to occur. an amount of monarchy is a must in those days
no monarchy only brings disunity and chaos

They have the same origin as the Yoruba and all the other Niger Congo groups where that is? We don't know but we do know is they share a common ancestry although Igbo society is a lot more advanced then others with their democratic system of leadership for example
you either have a colonized mind or you're just fooling yourself

1. Africa was far better during the times of mornachy
the only person who says democracy is more advanced is the west fools

2. the so called democracy the Igbo practiced wasn't even democracy
or is a society where women were less than male children a democratic society?

3. the Igbo never really had large states. they operated at clan level

4. what you're calling democracy is actually a lack of modernisation.
