Thank you for your response. The dollar card you mentioned does it mean I have to open a dom account.

Call the bank to confirm. I don't have much information on that.

All this apply for gcms notes you people talk about...I thought it was free o. Is there any other means of inquiring about updates for an application under processing?

Good morning my people.

Please I'm trying to pay for my application fee but the gt card I am using seems to be declining the transaction. Please any suggestion on alternative way to go about it. Thank you

You can't spend more than $100 per month for an international transaction using GTBank's Naira MasterCard.

Either get a Dollar MasterCard, use another bank's card (@ a ridiculous rate ~N455/usd) or ask someone abroad to pay for you if possible.

First time doing business with Noobody and I'm really impressed. I honestly appreciate his fast replies and assurance. Please do business with him.

Got my Mi 8 Lite through him April last year. He's among the best here. I've known of him since 2017

Hi All,

Please does anyone know what happens where your upfront medicals is sent to IRCC even before you submit your online application? I expected the hospital to send within 2 weeks of taking the test, giving me enough time to get all my documents together but lo and behold they sent it in 2 days. Please advise.

It doesn't matter when the hospital sends it. When you begin your application, in the questionnaire that asks if you've undergone medical examination by an IRCC approved panel, answer YES.

You'll be provided with a slot to upload your proof of upfront medical exam. Upload the information sheet given to you at the hospital after your tests. That's what they'll use to link your medical result to your profile.

Do I need to upload IMM5483 [Document Checklist] as part of my application?

Any help on this please?

Yeah you can do that. Nonetheless, you must demonstrate you have significant ties (i.e economic and professional ties) back home that far outweighs the incentives of staying back in Canada after studies. Given that your aunt will be providing a letter to support your studies in Canada your reasons for coming back home must be well articulated and detailed to convince the visa officer that you're a bonafide student.

It will end in praise

Thanks a lot!

Question 1 - You have to answer NO, because during the time of your application submission, you have not undergone any medical examination in the last 12 months.

Question 2 - Any of the two (MyBank Statement or the regular SOA) would work and its very much acceptable by IRCC. If possible, you could get the Mybank statement since it's something you can easily generate using your mobile banking app from your comfort zone without visiting the nearest bank branch office to obtain your financial statements.

Question 3 - Affidavit of Support is a legal document and as such must be duly signed and stamped by either a Notary Public Officer or Commissioner of OATHS. At this present time, the federal high court is yet to reopen in most cities in Nigeria. So, a notary public should be your best move to notarize the document.

I hope you find this information useful to your enquiry. Feel free to ask questions anytime.

It will end in praise

Thank you for your swift response.

I added this question:

4. Is it advisable to submit a letter and affidavit of support from my aunt in Canada stating that I will be living with her during the course of my study.

Thanks.

Good day house. I have some pertinent questions:

Regarding medicals:

I have an appointment for an upfront medical exam slated for 24th June at IOM Lagos. I have not yet submitted my study permit application but I plan to do so before the date for my medical exam.

My question

1. In the study permit questionnaire where it asks if I have done an IRCC approved medical exam; do I answer yes or no?

Regarding sponsorship:

2. Does my sponsor's bank statement have to be from mybankstatement or can it be a normal statement of account showing credit and debit for the last 6 months?

3. Does the Affidavit of support have to be notarized in front of a notary public?

4. Is it advisable to submit a letter and affidavit of support from my aunt in Canada stating that I will be living with her during the course of my study?

Thanks in advance.

Lekiboboe:

1) Yes they are different but have some little similarity

Affidavit of Sponsorship is an Oath from a Sponsor summarizing he/she is sponsoring u

Sponsorship declaration is a sub-topic in a Letter of Sponsorship and quite detailed than Affidavit of Support

Find attached a sample of a Sponsorship Declaration in a Letter of Sponsorship

3) iomlagosmedicalbooking@iom.int

Thank you so much

Hello Thevenine,

You're fine with just the affidavit and sponsorship letter. For the other questions, flip backwards in pages, it was answered in details.

All the best

Thanks

I have a couple of enquiries please:

1. Is a sponsorship declaration different from an affidavit of support?
2. How do I go about booking an upfront medical exam? Are there any IMM documents I need to go along with?
3. Can anyone please provide me with the contact details for IOM (preferrably email address)? The phone numbers provided on cic site are not going through.

Thanks a lot in advance

Interesting developments.
But this also means that if you do not get your visa approved to travel to Canada and complete the rest, you won't be eligible for PGWP.

You still need a study permit to begin the online classes and it's also not a new development. It has been on IRCC website since March.

5) What's the fastest route for applying for the study permit?

Thanks a lot
