ogaemma: He is a wanted Criminal and looter. He is still on the EFCC radar. He too want his sins to be forgiven. Shame on the Nigeria system. This is how 1.3 trillion naira of Delta state money is gone. Just join APC and the case is closed.
Same way peter obi was forgiven when he joined PDP from APGA in 2015. All politician are same.
Justiceori2019: Labour Party Presidential Candidate in 2023, Peter Obi on Wednesday joined Francis Cardinal Arinze, global dignitaries, and thousands of mourners at St. Peter’s Basilica, Rome, to pay final respects to His Holiness, *Pope Francis* , who passed away on April 21. The solemn lying-in-state ceremony was a moment of deep reflection, as the world bids farewell to a man who embodied humility, simplicity, and selfless service.
Obi on a Facebook post, said Pope Francis was more than a Pontiff; he was a moral light in a world darkened by inequality and indifference. Peter Obi said said Pope's life was a testament to leadership as a sacred duty, one rooted in compassion, truth, and service to the poor and marginalised.
Peter Obi also said he is Rome to appreciate what Pope stood for after his appointment as a member of Scholars Occultantes - an international circle of thinkers the Pope Francis founded during his time as Archbishop. The organisation, dedicated to truth, ethical leadership, and social transformation.
gidgiddy: It's very unfortunate that on Nairaland, unverified News can sometimes make its way to front page, but that's where we find ourselves. A News came out that self styled 'Prime Minister Of Biafra', Simon Ekpa, will be extradited to Nigeria in July, that a Finland court had given a nod to this
The first thing about the News was that it had no source, just something anyone can post online to gain traffic. Simon Ekpa has not even been charged to court for any offence, let alone faced extradition proceedings
Another thing is that Simon Ekpa is a Finnish citizen, and under the European Convention On Human Rights, no European country can extradite its citizen to a country to where they face persecution, a country like Nigeria that has very bad human rights record
But let's just assume this story is true, even though it's obviously fake. Even if a Finland court gave nod that Simon Ekpa can be extradited, Simon Ekpa still has the right to fight the extradition request through the higher Finland courts, all the way up to the European court of justice, and all he has to do there is prove Nigeria's terrible human rights record as an example of why he would never get fair trial in Nigeria.
But the sad thing about all this is that in the last three weeks, over 200 Nigerians have been slaughtered in Plateau, Benue and Borno alone, by armed bandits
Yet those killings received far less attention than the fake News of Simon Ekpa's extradition. How can someone with common sense be more interested in what country Ekpa is detained, than the slaughter going on in his backyard?
People are dying all over the country from insecurity, hunger, deprivation and corruption, but another person's problem is what country Simon Ekpa will be detained in? Chei!
Controversial Nigerian cleric, Prophet Chukwuemeka Odumeje, has stirred reactions after declaring that President Bola Tinubu was not divinely anointed to lead the nation.
Speaking during a recent church service, Odumeje claimed that Tinubu forced his way into power and was not chosen by God, challenging the popular belief among some religious and political circles.
TheGoodJoe: You comfortably opened account to fight a politician who never looted. Who has spent a large chunk of his political life helping the poor. A man who created impact in the educational sector with a refreshing policy that transformed education in Anambra. A man that rejected handouts from government.
That is a man you created account to fight.
You are so disgraceful and a shame to our generation.
I am disappointed in people like you.
Playing politics with the lives of people. For what?
You can continue fighting for evil people.
Can you swear with your life and everything you have that peter obi never looted any funds in Anambra as governor.
TheGoodJoe: Very irrelevant talk. We are talking of charity and you are talking irrelevant thing. Why kick away food hungry children are to eat and how can you support such evil?
You guys are disappointing. You are a big part of why this country is so backwards.
He should stop all these nonsense.
He is a political hypocrite.
Same man refuse to pay 18k minimum wage in Anambra as governor.
