Your analysis is a big statement about how corrupt the system is in Nigeria. How do you define failure as a Governor in a country like Nigeria? Now use Peter Obi as a yardstick and compare him with other Nigerian Governors during his time as Governor. TopBanter: Well-said. My opinion too. Add ignorant to the description of misguided also. They don't read, never do research and are analytically deficient.
Majority of them simply support Obi because he is less visible and prominent than the likes of OBJ, Atiku, Tinubu, Buhari, Abacha, IBB they believe ruined Nigeria.
Wheread anyone who has ten minutes to spare can do research that will show Obi was an abysmal failure as Governor of Anambra who will be a disastrous President.
As a factual show of how working with reality is important, virtually all Southern leaders are behind Tinubu while next to non is behind Obi.
Even in the SE, which Governor is behind Obi?
That is a big statement about who leaders believe is their President leader to be supported. |

The show must go on but the house always wins.
Nigeria is like Las vegas casinos, very few winners make the loudest noise and many losers look helplessly, either way the politicians/house always wins.
The moment Peter Obi wins, most of the politicians/elites supporting Tinubu today will switch party to continue looting. |

Brethren, thou art funny 🤣 Bahamas95: Very funny thread. 😂
Some things you see as problems are actually blessings in disguise. You see that I pass my neighbour generator? It falls into the same category as the cars you mentioned.
We had one in my hostel back then that frustrated all of us. We were forced to become generator mechanics. We dismantled and reassembled it ourselves over and over until we got used to it. Today, I have no problem fixing generators. I can repair them perfectly without needing the services of a professional mechanic. |

Health and public education in coma.

Power dead, buried and now an ancestor...

Just like the Sharia law and the useless lies of it being for Muslims only and won't affect visitors but till now 2026, people are not allowed to walk freely with the opposite sex, eat pork and drink beer peacefully in so many states in Northern Nigeria.
After this they will demand for Sharia law and Sharia police so this must not be accepted until there's a balance in demands, justice and equal rights. |

Politics › Re: President Tinubu Fufils Promise For Calabar Port As Dredging Works Begin by THMT: 4:34pm On Jul 12 |
You should comment more on NairaLand. You made some really good points here 👍. DeLaRue: That's good.
Goods that are primarily intended for the South South, South East, North East, and part of North Central should use ports in the South South that are close to them.
It makes economic sense.
However, any assumption that a fully operational Calabar port will economically transform Calabar, let alone Cross River, or adjoining state is misplaced.
The largest port in the UK is in a small town of about 30,000. In France, the largest port is a small town.
There has been no magical economic transformation of either town. The large prosperous cities of London, and Paris don't have Ports.
Today's modern port function so efficiently that it is just like collecting a consignment from an organised warehouse. Trucks drive into the port town/city, and within 2 hours, they are out heading to their destination. The economic impact of a port on the local economy of its location is not as significant when the port operates smoothly.
If you drive past Lekki Ports, you won't even know there is a port there because it operates so efficiently.
The days when Nigerian ports are a behive of activity with hundreds of trailers waiting, and thousands of people milling around thus creating increased economic activity is coming to an end. |

You are right. I had a great time as a Christian vising some Arab Muslim countries but I wasn't free in the northern part of our mixed country Nigeria. The Arabs are open to explore global opportunities and don't use religion to hinder possitive changes. When it comes to looting, politicians don't even care who is Christian or Muslim in Nigeria. vick00: I'm a Yoruba, I'm muslim and I support everything you have said especially the Nnamdi Kanu part. Everything is now going as he has predicted. Do you know why they Imprisoned Kanu in the North Because they know he north dominates hausa people and it going to be hard to rescue him from there by his men. Even though theh manage to rescue him, they can't get past the hausa civilians.
I don't even understand Nigeria. All I know is that Islam name is just being used for cover up.
Muslim are never meant to hurt other people even non Muslims.
I just hope that Nnamdi Kanu is rescued by his boys and He should fight for the freedom of his people. Maybe if everyone separates, there will be peace. |

He mentioned a solution (Israel special forces), get them to help us secure the release of the victims. How can people be alive and well in captivity? That's an insult to the victims families and Nigerians in general. There are better ways to handle the situation at that moment, not trying to blame governors, talking and sitting/adjusting like you're in your office discussing politics over glasses of wine. Some one was beheaded for doing his job as a teacher, his crime was going to work that day, never to be seen again forever due to security failure of the government. If this kind of roads are so good economically, how come other countries are not doing it to save money?
I stand to be corrected because I still believe a well-done asphalt road is better in the long run. |
