This makes no sense. Their last video on a YouTube channel with less than 100 subscribers was in December last year. They were attempting to build a career as content creators but the passport incident was not a skit. They used cameras positioned properly for their skits but the airport video was done with a phone that kept shaking. You could also see that kids were not acting as they were clearly confused unlike on their YouTube page. How could they have carried so many luggages into the airport for a skit and used a phone to film content? Other people in the video were also saying that the woman had been acting aggressively on the plane. She was also clearly picking a fight with a third party, presumably the person filming. In summary, the couple were aspiring content creators but they've had a big fallout.
bigtt76: The minute he mentioned - CNN sef carry am, I know it was all skits. Wooo, let him and his wife array demselves go joooor, what be our consan
If it's a skit what's the name of their channel? Did you not see their children looking confused in the video. Or were they also acting? I couldn't find it on CNN but BBC pidgin did something on it. https://www.bbc.com/pidgin/articles/cml2gl1vnkxo
dominique: Assuming they were females now, nairaland boys would have gone on to rip them to shreds. Comments like fish brain and fear that gender will be flying everywhere by now. Here we have adult men publicly disgracing themselves yet no one has mentioned gender. Foolish women that support men in stereotyping women, hope you're seeing?
How are they disgracing themselves? They were an internationally recognized group. Everything about their split was bound to be news, regardless of their gender. It is you, a woman who is trying to make it about gender so you can score a meaningless point.
Flamemignon1: It's dumb to assign a job to someone because of what's between their legs especially in this century when jobs are hard to find. It's not just dumb, it's also reductive and limiting......you are gonna tell me "these are the jobs suited for me because of what's between my legs?" What era are you living in? This isn't the 50s where jobs were allocated on the basis of sex and judging from the way you are speaking, it's completely obvious you haven't left the four walls of the hellhole you are living in
Your powers of comprehension are apparently limited. Men for instance are better equipped for jobs that require strength, eg. construction workers, oil rig technicians. This does not mean that you won't find a few women in those sectors. However, men will always be far more than women. Now, do you want explain what you mean by "gender is a social construct" or are you just parroting something you saw on the Internet?
Flamemignon1: There's nothing like "feminine or masculine jobs". Gender is a social construct so society was the one that assigned jobs to genders which is super dumb and reductive
Woke nonsense. Gender is not a social construct and there are jobs better suited to specific genders. Did you even read what you wrote?
abba09: truly its not normal something must be wrong with my life. after going to uni for year here i am working and suffering with immigrants from niger republic
If you have already accepted defeat in your mind, then there really is no hope for you. Take responsibility for your outcomes. Try this thing, type the name Joshua Selman on YouTube and listen to some of his messages. I could give you specific titles if you're interested. Your life is about to change I assure you.
Salewa97: Tinubu is not the cause of hardship; he's just the man at the helm during a complex time. The issues of unemployment and rising prices didn't start with him. Let’s be honest, every administration faces its challenges. Instead of begging for deliverance, we should focus on constructive dialogue and hold leaders accountable while supporting initiatives that uplift the people. Change requires collective effort, not just protests!
You are a bigoted idiot. Tinubu's thoughtless "subsidy is gone" comment was the beginning of this round of difficulties the people are facing.
That Aqulina,Arobaga,Acura and drop comments like they're being paid to be unreasonable but me go just ignore
I scroll past idiotic post, since u can't block others, just do the same too
There are too many to scroll past. I don't even recognize of the names you've mentioned. All forms of hate speech are abhorred in every civilized space on earth, except Nairaland.
Seun is an unreasonable person for not introducing the block option. He has prioritized profit over decency. We have to wade through tribal and potentially inflammatory comments everytime. In any other country, he would have been the subject of multiple lawsuits. Really weird guy.
Seun and the moderators, when will you do something serious about the tribal slurs that pervade this forum? It's making it difficult to use. Una dey mad ni?
Chinkoalhaji34: What exactly are you protesting for in Benin City?
If you ask me, all this noise is just a distraction from the real issues. People should focus on fixing their immediate surroundings instead of joining a bandwagon.
Protests without solutions are just empty noise. How about you channel that energy into community development instead?
bassdow: wonder how this one children and family members go dey feel. Me go overShame to get this kind person as Papa
You're joking. He owns a company that receives a pipeline surveillance contract worth billions from the government. He's only speaking for his interests.
Image123: Lolz. Who knows this fellow? Nobody. He probably wants to use protest to become popular and contest in the next elections. Who goes asking a democratically elected president to scrap the Senate, sack the judiciary, become the judge of all the past presidents (except saint GEJ of course), and increase minimum wage by over 800% while bringing fuel price to 150naira per liter. You need a brain if you're following such mad people.
FYI: Your emergency darling Dangote, who complained of not getting enough crude oil from FG, is currently selling crude oil. Refinery that is selling crude oil. Be playing there thinking anyone that speaks against FG is here to save you.
How you deteriorated to this state remains a marvel.
thesicilian: Being a youth corper is a compulsory stage of life for every Nigerian graduate. Even if you weren't paid, you'd still have done it. As a youth corper my take home pay was about 120k and it still wasn't enough. That pack of indomie that was N50 and now N500, do you think it's price will not have doubled in 2yrs time? She should get off her fat ass and do something about now and the future We can't always blame the the government or other people in our lives for our own decision to settle for a mediocre life.
Advanced countries have welfare, social security, and other safety nets so that even the lowest income earners and unemployed can find succor for at least the basic necessities. People cannot afford noodles, garri, egg, and other bare necessities and you are saying she should get off her ass and do something. This is someone who works as a teacher and you think she's the problem. Have you ever seen a working country where teachers cannot afford food? You are a complete and utter moro.n. I wish I could block you for this idiocy.
Racoon: The Gonnese - Paris place of the only Concorde jet crash ever recorded in history is a gory tale of the tragedy that can ever visit humanity.
That singular crash is the catalyst that will lead to the exit of the legendary Concorde from the world of aviation. God rest to all the world lost in this avoidable, preventable and unfortunate mishap as well as many others too numerous to be mentioned.
I don't think the crash was why the Concorde was discontinued. It was mainly because of cost and maintenance issues.
HathawayStark: Goodmorning guys!! Welcome to another day of my trivia
Let me go straight to the question.
Fastest finger!!! Please answer only once and do not modify to avoid permanent disqualification. I wont declare the winner until the round is over. This round will last 1hr.
budaatum: Never in your life you never had 1 meal a day?
Secondary was ogi in the morning back for 3pm lunch, but my hungry belly always took the 10 kobo for the 7 miles bus ride from school to home so I'd walk and miss lunch and hopefully have supper or stay up all night reading because I couldn't sleep on an empty stomach.
Later, 18 thereabouts was find rent pay college buy books, so it really was 1 meal a day. Till one day a friend arrived crying that his brother spent all the money he worked and saved up for 10 years and my one meal a day became half a meal a day.
58 today. This too will pass is my point.
. You're 58? You be elder o. Happy birthday!!! Though I still don't know whether you're a man or woman.
CyrusVI: Some People will rush here to talk about Lamine Yamal but are quik to forget that his was an exceptional case
Generally, how many footballers have the privilege to rep their Senior team in any Major comp at 18, even Messi wasnt called up till 2006 and he wasnt under-18 then
Good Call by Jamb
Those kids who are prodigies should wait till 18 before receive higher education?
