Squid Game Season 2: A Perfect Symbol of Nigeria’s Political Reality Introduction In Squid Game, the participants wear green and white tracksuits—the same colors as Nigeria’s flag. Coincidence? Maybe. But as we dive deeper into Season 2, the parallels between the brutal games and Nigeria’s political system become impossible to ignore. Just like the players, Nigerians are trapped in a rigged competition where survival depends on luck, connections, or sheer resilience. The elections, the economy, and even everyday life feel like a game controlled by unseen hands, where only a few emerge victorious while the masses are sacrificed. 1. Elections: A Deadly Game with a Pre-Determined Winner In Squid Game, players believe they have a fair shot at winning, but the system is already stacked against them. Sound familiar? Every election cycle, Nigerians are given the illusion of choice, but godfathers, rigging, and vote-buying ensure the outcome is already decided. Much like the desperate contestants, voters participate out of hope—hope for change, hope for a better life. But in the end, they are mere pawns in a game they never truly control. 2. The VIPs and Nigeria’s Political Elite Season 2 introduces us to the VIPs—the masked billionaires who fund the games for their own entertainment. These faceless figures represent Nigeria’s ruling class: wealthy politicians, businessmen, and foreign powers who manipulate the system while remaining untouchable. For them, elections, economic crises, and even protests are nothing more than a spectacle. They sit in luxury, making bets on people’s suffering, knowing they will never face the consequences. 3. From Oppressed to Oppressor One of the show’s most chilling aspects is how past survivors of the game become enforcers of the same system that once tortured them. This mirrors Nigeria’s political cycle, where former activists and “men of the people” get into power and immediately betray those who trusted them. The oppressed become the oppressors. The cycle continues. 4. The False Promise of Change Every round of the game offers players a fresh start—just as every election promises a “new Nigeria.” But no matter who wins, the rules of the game remain unchanged: poverty, insecurity, corruption, and failed leadership persist. In Squid Game, contestants think they are fighting for freedom, but they are just being recycled into a system designed to exploit them. Nigerians, too, are caught in a cycle of false promises and repeated disappointments. 5. The Hope for Rebellion Yet, amidst the despair, some characters in Squid Game begin to resist. They question the system, challenge the VIPs, and look for ways to break free. This mirrors movements like #EndSARS and the increasing demand for accountability in Nigeria. The first step to winning the real-life game is recognizing that it’s rigged—and refusing to play by its rules. Conclusion Squid Game Season 2 is not just a thriller—it’s a wake-up call. The green-and-white uniforms are a stark reminder: Nigeria, too, is stuck in a deadly game of power, greed, and survival. But unlike in the show, Nigerians have a chance to rewrite the rules. The question is—will we?

Legit answers please |
Please this just happened to me, someone sent me some money and called me that it was a mistake.. what’s your advice?
|
You people don’t understand, this bank doesn’t have customer care, when you message them you have to wait three hours before it’s your turn, so when this happened instead of them to at least tell me how I can know the branch name they basically said my time is up and they’re closing the live chat service, so I would have to wait another 5 hours. And before any slowpoke talks shit, I work at customer care and I would have either helped the customer figure out the branch name or given them a hint of how they could find it so y’all should stop talking trash please Samantha125: helinues: calabaman: calabaman: trium: Kimo21: aremubabs:
