Risk management is good, but there's something people don't talk about, which SELF AWARENESS. Its very vital also

I think SELF AWARENESS is the last piece of the puzzles when you finally get your edge.

I mean how can I be patient and wait and not trade.

Somedays I am not supposed to trade, I find myself opening trades. How can I avoid trading when I'm not supposed to.

Have been in this phase before, but have been able to solve 60% of it.

Most people will say you lack discipline, but if you actually check the meaning of the word discipline it means enforcing yourself to obey the rules,
It should not be FORCE, it suppose to be from the PLACE of REST , the more you try to be disciplined the more it become difficult.

FIRST STEP
The emotion (Devil/Demon) will always come,
Always know what TRIGGERS the DEMON to always come at you. Sit down n write it down

Below are what triggers the DEMON in me
1. Checking chart constantly
2. Missing more than 2 entries
3. Closing trade prematurely.

After discovering what triggers the DEMON, I find a solution to everyone of them,
Anytime I notice the DEMON is about to knock on my door, I leave the chart and go to the solution I provided, e.g take a walk, watch movie, go to Instagram/tiktok to watch videos or gist with someone.

SECOND STEP.
Work on your SELF-AWARENESS , always be focus on the PRESENT , be in a state of MINDFULNESS by being intensely aware of what you're sensing and feeling in the moment, without interpretation or judgment.

I always see EMOTION as a river, I can't stop it from flowing, it will always flow, it now left for me to wait n SEE it flows or I JUMP into it.

To reduce checking of chart constantly,inasmuch that you know your EDGE like the palm of your hands, just analyse the chart and look for levels/zones that you have in mind before trading for the day.

Also start with one to two set up in a day either profit or loss , till you finally grow into more than two trade in a day.

It will not be easy following this method, try it for a day, if you fail start again afresh, gradually you will be able to do for 3 days, 5 days on a stretch till it becomes part of you.

ALWAYS REMEMBER YOU ARE NOT YOUR EMOTION, YOU ARE NOT YOUR MIND.

THE RIVER WILL ALWAYS FLOW , YOU CAN'T STOP IT FROM FLOWING, JUST WATCH IT FLOW AND NOT REACT.
