Good day, Everyone. The person will be responsible for accommation when I get to Canada then I will travel to my school before it commence. Also for the application, what documents is needed to be added if am going to be filling my wive information apart from marriage certificate. As she will apply for dependent visa later on. |
LadyCaplin:May application should take a month for a reply or so. Someone submitted early May and biometric request was sent Early June. So patience is what you will have. |
auto5598:It depends on the circumstances, the instruction for the new portal is " a new person who has never applied to Canada before" while the old portal is for anyone that has applied to Canada at least once. |
orjohn24:I haven't received the biometric letter instruction till date. As it has passed the duration of 10 days stated to get a biometric letter. I have also sent the payment receipts via webform and reminding them about the BIL. |
Hello, I am seeking your advice. I submitted my visit visa application on April 28 and paid for the biometric letter on May 1st, but I haven't received a response yet. I've sent a webform with the payment receipt and also tried calling, but was told to use the webform only. Any suggestions on what I can do to move forward? Appreciate your help. |
Cashmadam:Does that mean I will have to schedule another interview |
shalomblue:How can I get the appointment booking app pls and I had already scheduled the interview same week I bought the visa fee |
Good morning House, I currently have an issue which I want to be sure of. I bought non-immigrant (B1/B2) visa US visa fees and booked the appointment for 2024 around May 2022, I saw an email recently that reminded of my interview in 2 months time but an information popped up at their website saying any visa fees paid before October 1 2022 is not valid anymore. I am quite confused and want to be sure if the money paid then is not valid for the appointment again. The image attached shows the information of the message on their website (usatraveldocs). Kindly suggest what to do.

Ajalalomo:Yes Thank you |
Pls my Ds-160 has been saying "matching not found" whereby I have already use the number to book my appointment, what can I do to rectify the issue? |

Thank you so much for the time taken to explain most facts. I truly appreciate the efforts. I have learnt alot and will make more research where necessary Regards |

Thank you for your information. I will surely do the needful on vacation centres and activities. |
fkj950ax:Thank you for the insight. I am going on as the owner of the school and I believe I should be able to confidently answer the questions based on the DS160 form as you said. What is not clear enough to me is in the aspect of location to say as a place I will be staying over for some weeks. As said by an advicer it's better for one not to disclose knowing someone over there or using the person as point of contact to be staying over with. Since the norms is using an hotel which will have to be paid for, what other means can I use as Point of Contact or a place in staying over for few weeks. Thank you. |

Thank you for your reply @DrStrangelove. Your points are well noted. Concerning your third point, since you said it's best I don't know anyone there. I made my research which it was said that when I am using an hotel the fees have to paid which will indicate my seriousness to stay over there for the proposed weeks. Is there any other means to use apart from the hotel reservation? Meanwhile what I meant by the family Visa consists of I, my parents and siblings. I don't really know the exact reasons the visa was refused as I was still young back then. |
Good evening Everyone, I really appreciate this group as I have read alot of information and gained from it. Please I will like to know some information. I am applying for USA visiting Visa by myself but there are conditions attached to it. 1. I will like to know how much is needed to be ones personal account to show as proof even though it might not be requested? 2. I don't have enough ground to proof that I will return to Nigeria but due to some close person it was suggested that they can allow me use their business which is a school (Nur & Pry) to show as my evidence of coming back home. I will be going for vacation during the school holidays if I am lucky enough to get an appointment time early. Also I will be using the account of the school to show that I can sponsor myself. Is such possible and hope it won't back fire. I will be taking along the necessary documents. 3. In reference to filling the form, I have a Point of contact person in the US as the place I will be staying over. I will like to know if the person might be contacted and asked some information as regarding their status, bank accounts or any other information. The person said they might call to ask for bank statement in which if there is no sufficient funds there they might refuse the visa. The person is not acting as a sponor as I will be one to fund my stay over there. Kindly give advice on what to do. Thank you. Note: the person is not disclosing status information but gave me the necessary information. Also I have been refused a family Visa before at Abuja close to 7 years now. I am kindly open to any assistance. |
