I'll tell you what I suspect to have happened having been through a deleted profile before.
First question I'll ask is where did you get the message or idea that you had 30 days left?.
It is likely that the 30 days is from the day they sent the response and not when you saw it.
The portal doesnt notify you immediately they respond - There is 24 - 48 hour window minimum before you get the email prompt. Unfortunately, you didnt account for this.
Another thing you could and should have done was to actually look at the comment in their response. They normally and would possibly put the date it would expire and be deleted there. It's very easy to miss if you dont actively look for it. Sometimes, the comment is in the additional documents section and not the compulsory one so you could have missed it. I will attach so you can see what i'm saying. We also learned this the hard way
I think your best bet now is to call and email them but I doubt that may be useful at this point as we've not seen them reinstate a deleted profile, maybe they have but no one here has mentioned it before. Your best option is to probably start again and also mail them with your circumstances asking them for a fast-track

You gotta chill man! What's the meaning of this. Since when does called mean asked to submit? I guess you dont understand that when information is being passed, It has to be clear and unambigous. Saying he "believe", yet telling me to chill |

Who is calling who? Now we have to be cautious of the messages here alongside scammers |

cyberbro: I totally understand Tifay, nothing serious 😉
And you're wrong about your claims. Read it well again, it's clearly written there that those born after Dec 13, 1992 with their NPC birth certificate don't need it. I think you're mistaking the 2nd part (OTHERWISE) of that text and getting it mixed up.
That's for those who DIDN'T have their NPC birth certificate BEFORE THE AGE OF 18. I CLEARLY WROTE THIS UP THERE IN MY COMMENT. Thanks. I see it now |

cyberbro: LOL boya you should direct your question to the embassy, tell them your opinion or protest and refuse to do it. 🕺🏽💃🏽😂
To correct the misconception though, it doesn't apply to everyone. If you were born before December 13th 1992, yes you have to do it, but those born after that date are not required to do it provided they got their NPC birth certificate before the age of 18.
I was just trying the understand the reasoning, seeing as you may have more information, thats why I asked. Also, The bolded is wrong. It is for both. You can check and confirm yourself

cyberbro: What the German embassy accepts is a parent as the deponent, not you as the deponent (i.e. applicant).
Meaning: it's like your mom or dad applying for your attestation of age on your behalf. The pictures to be uploaded would be that of you and either of your parents. If you're using your dad, you would need to upload your photo and dad's passport photo, also with his signature, make payment and submit.
Once it is approved, you can print it online and upload it on the portal. Im struggling to see the reason though, why this is asked for in addition to birth certificates? They need the parent/deponent to also attest and confirm the Age? Why ?. Nigeria runs a very communal system so even if the applicant did lie or misrepresent their age on the birth certificate. Chances are they can likely make the parent do the affidavit. Do they know how easy it is to do affidavits in the country? Those boys are ever present at the gate and would do it easily for change. I remember a mandatory requirement back then when we entered university where every student had to do an affidavit swearing against cultism and all we had to do was go there and those boys were all over us offering to do it for us without stress as long as we paid them. In my own opinion, a Valid Birth Certificate is sufficient but maybe they know better and I'm missing something. |

JIGGERNAPPY: E-affidavit is the best. It has a barcode for easy verification. It has been proven to be without doubts, your parents don't need to be in same country physically. Just get their international passport or Voter's card. It requires an ID with the persons signature. So far so good, only Voter's card and international ID meets the requirement.
Please, make sure the signature on the affidavit and the one of the ID tallies. Thanks. Whilst it makes sense for verification purposes. I just need confirmation from anyone that he/she has used it before and the consulate/embassy was ok with it - only the e-affidavit. MissMarola who mentioned talked about going there and uploading/submitting/presenting both the E-affidavit and Physical oneAlso I was checking online and noticed that there is also an e-affidavit system for Lagos - https://lagoscomis.lagosjudiciary.gov.ng/account.htmlHas anyone used it before or is the recommended one https://portal.fhc.gov.ng/portal/. Any lawyer in the house. Is there any real difference? |
Travel › Re: Migrating To Germany For Free : The Chancekarte Discussions by Tifay: 1:58am On Apr 18 |
Missmarola: Hello everyone,
I noticed some discussion regarding affidavits. Please be aware that the High Court now has a digital platform where you can fill in your details and generate your affidavit online (E-affidavit). I feel this makes it much easier for the embassy to verify because it includes a barcode.
If you choose to go to the High Court in person, be wary of the agents at the gate; they often make mistakes, and your information might not be officially entered into the court system.
If you prefer a physical paper affidavit, please double-check the following:
1. Heading and Purpose: Ensure the reason (e.g., name correction) is stated correctly. 2. Details: Verify your name, the date, and the time. 3. Authentication: Ensure it has an official stamp and signature. 4. Proof: Always ask for an official receipt or remita with a reference number. Are you saying E-affidavit is better and would be accepted. Asking this because what if the parents are not in the country to do the physical affidavit. Would the E-affidavit be accepted for the eariler question I asked where an affidavit of Declaration of Age deposed by parent (father or mother) was requested |

cc150615: For the first one, you need to get an affidavit sworn by you at a high court that says the 2 names refer to one and the same person. For the second you need a signature bearing ID of your mum (driver's license or intl passport). You need to get one of those, I had to get a passport for my mum. You can ask for more time if you need to. Hi I have a question on the bolded Please how can you ask for more time. Can you walk me through the process? |

Looks like it is compulsory to get an affidavit for age again cos I dont understand this people. I thought that was only in the case that your birth certificate has issues. See messages he got.
Dear Applicant, In addition to the uploaded document (which by the way is an error free Birth Certificate) kindly upload an affidavit of Declaration of Age deposed by parent (father or mother) or the head of the family if both parents are deceased AND copy of an identity document showing the signature of the person making the affidavit. upload the updated document (Birth certificate, affidavit and ID of the declarant) .
Does anyone know why the above message was sent? |

cc150615: You will be able to upload a new/additional document but you can't delete the old one. That's why it's always advisable to use your passport data page for such situations. Thanks. You seem to have a good hang of this. Why do you say its advisable to use your passport page. Even if something else was initially uploaded, and you put a new document and the correct one, wouldnt they look at that also? Why does it matter what was previously uploaded if the correct one is now there |

One other question.
When one leaves the waiting list and before you are asked to submit for the final time - can it be edited and some documents corrected or re-uploaded.
or it is what was filled originally you have to submit?.
Im asking for those that joined the queue earlier without having the full requirements but have now gotten it by the time you are asked to submit finally |

Diceman8: just to let you know i had the same issue as @talk2bella
I first used "reference person" as my reference and then they asked for me to provide first his residence permit but he wasnt a german citizen, he is a european citizen, so i told them and then they asked for me to submit both his passport and Meldebestätigung (proof of residence) My reference was my former boss in germany so i didnt want to ask him for something so private and sensitive. So i changed my reference to Educational establishment/company/organisation and i booked a hotel, inserted the details etc, they then called me and said i needed to submit his passport and Meldebestätigung and they didnt accept my hotel booking. So i had to get his passport and Meldebestätigung to get to the interview stage. i hope theres a way to get over this because people that know no one in germany will have no way for this route to work. Thanks. This is clear. It's why I said it will likely be the next problem being faced. |

cc150615: What I used is Person and I believe most ppl here used same. The person needs to be a legal resident in Germany, doesn't need to be related to you or anything of that sort, you'll provide their name, DOB, address and I think relationship. In recent times, they also require you to upload a copy of the person's residency permit. Thanks. What about those that dont have anyone over there. What do they put in there? Or are saying only those who used the reference of a German legal resident have successfully scaled through |

Tifay: I have questions on this reference thing cos it looks like its going to be the next problem/hurdle.
What is the right option to pick. Is it a reference over in Germany
If you picked an organization, what should be the right one? Is it where you work? Or what is even the best thing to pick?
Remember that even if you picked an organization/educational establishment, they ask you to put the name and information of the contact person.
What contact person should be filled? HR or what?
Can someone who's scaled this stage give a thorough explanation on it Please I still need help with this |

Talk2Bella: Thanks for your help, but this person knows, I am sure they do, I have submitted my response and the deadline they gave me was 28th which is a sunday, I guess after then they can make whatever decision they want to.
I have never applied for a German short stay visa, so I had no idea this was even possible, for the longest time, I thought I was blind, but now I see what she's referring to. I sincerely hope they make the right decision as this is embarrasing. So I did some digging online and looks like you should just book a hotel for this purpose and use the address. It worked for someone on the link below. https://www.reddit.com/r/germany/comments/1e1fz4y/chancenkarte_videx_application_reference_section/ |

cyberbro: As long as you can see the exact name of your course e.g. BSc. Business Administration with H+, with the name of your institution, then you're good to go, no need for statement of compatibility, just print or save as pdf.
Where people often make a mistake is they think the school or degree type (e.g. BSc.) being listed is enough, which is totally wrong. The name of the particular course you studied in your institution must be listed there. Guys please listen to this advice. The name of the course and degree must be EXACTLY as stated in your degree. Our application was rejected in Late July because of this and we had to start the entire process again |

So they might accept student transcripts for some applications but require official transcripts for others
If there's anything I've learned in this whole process, it's that everything is handled on a case by case basis, what applies to one person might not apply to another Thank you so much. You are far too kind with your succinct response |

Guys what transcript document did you upload on ZAB for the recognition thing?
I used and uploaded the student copy that we have but looks like they are asking for the university one in the response they sent today. I really am not clear on it.
The response asked for " Official Transcript of Records" in the ZAB message box. I dont know if the school will even respond at this point. How did you guys go about it. This is month 3 and they finally respond with this request?.
What did you guys upload from the school? or what did you guys send to them that made the request easy for y'all. Can anyone who's sucessfully gotten the ZAB thing give me a step by step, maybe something was missed in the application we made |
