Day 4(Tuesday) everything moving smoothly, Faced the full examination board for the oral interview, during this stage anything can happen, you could be asked questions based on your discipline or something abstract or if grace follows you, you can be asked to read a paragraph of the Nig air force rule book to the hearing of everyone, to ascertain you pronunciation ability. but if your village people follow you come Jos and they decide to bamboozle you from all sides God help you. so better make peace with your village people before coming. some applicants were asked just one question others it was up to five.

I never said I believed it...as u can see I was even asking it as a question because I know they take 5..n put some on reserve list...well nobody is putting much hope sha...but since we have progressed to this stage...there is no going bk...

I went there by 10am and finished before 2pm . some went early as 8am but I was screened before them. Just get copies of your documents ready to avoid delay.

I promised to keep fellow Nairalanders updated with the coordination exercise for NECO. I have verified with NECO office in Owerri and my Assistant Chief Examiner that it will commence on August 14.

Unlike WAEC, NECO does not send sms inviting examiners for the coordination, that is why i am giving this information so that you can all get ready for it.

While NECO marking is not an employment opportunity, and cannot even be quoted in the CV as a viable working experience, the advantages of coordination and marking can be seen below

1. It puts some coins in the pocket. In about 5 days of using ur leisure to mark, you are guaranteed at least N10,000. Can serve some purposes

2. The informative content of the coordination is helpful for teachers. Helps you know the best way to prepare students for the examination. It also enriches the teacher's research and lesson notes

Please, invited or not, check the marking venues used for coordination. Gate-crash (if not invited) and you may be fortunate to get a pack.

You can also apply as a checker. The same procedure for WAEC pans out at NECO.

My village people finally at work..

I started the cognitive test covering the numerical skill, verbal skill and abstract reasoning but I was disconnected from the internet which resulted in me not completing the test.
I tried to re-enter the test via the link when the internet was restored minutes later but she was unable to take me back to the entire section where I got disconnected. Instead, I was taken to the second part of the assessment ( working style's assessment) which I completed.

Now cubik is telling me to complete the part A ( cognitive test) of the assessment.
Am stucked right now, don't know what to do.....help me oooooooo

As an applicant, one of the things you can do to standout from other applicants and get noticed by the employer is to accompany your CV or resume with a targeted, well-written and persuasive cover letter. I Actually Gate Crash at Akure Centre Today Held At Oyemekun Grammer School, AKURE.
I was lucky to get a Folder usually given to examiners. There Were Over 200 Examiners with over 500 Gate crashers that crashed the venue out of which English, Civic Education, Government And Commerce and Agric Has The Highest Numbers Of Gate crashers and markers.
After Giving The Folder to the invited markers, the rest folders were given to the gate crashers out of which majority couldn't get one(In My Own Subject, While Other Subject Will Give Gate crashers the folder tomorrow).
We Are Therefore Advised to come tomorrow with the original certificate and photocopies.
As For Those That Wouldn't Be Picked For Examiners, and those that are interested in checkers, Kindly Go And Apply For It Before Sunday, Because That's The Information Passed(There Will Earn Around #1000 per day).

For Bachelor degree, Superintendent Cadre

While,

For HND, Inspectorate Cadre.

They have two types of Cadre in Nigerian Immigration Service.

Only Bachelor degree holders are in Superintendent Cadre, which means you have the opportunity to be promoted until you get to highest ranking but that doesn't directly mean you'll get to the highest ranking.

Inspectorate Cadre have promotions limitations based on either O level, ND, and HND.

I wasn't surprised about that, but what surprised me was that some people who don't know still refused to learn.

Mediocrity is as a result of laziness. Laziness to develop themselves through seeking for knowledge and experience.

I just keep wondering that what kind of employability skills and knowledge will they possess.

I was like I have never seen where a guarantor is required in the case of employment and education. What are they going to guarantee? My life or my prospective employer 's life or the entire staff''s life of the institution I want to study?
I am seeing another reason why British, Canada and US will subject some Nigerian graduates to English Language Test before furthering their education in their respective countries despite the fact that English Language is the mode of teaching and instruction in our country.

My prudent advice for you is to reapply for Bachelor degree and shun the threat of multiple registration.

Ask yourself when you are fortunate and called on physical screening for inspectorate Cadre and you went with Bachelor degree certificate and not with HND. Disqualification right?

Reapply and await what happens next

A referee is someone who knows you better and who can provide clearer picture of who you are in the sense of moral attitude and character.

A guarantor is someone who pledge something tangible on your behalf as a refund in case you default an official agreement.

I think you have clearer idea of roles both play on your behalf.

One provide support that you are either of a good attitude and character or not.


While,

The other one pledge something tangible to support you in case you default an agreement.
