If only you can visit America, then you will experience and know that Nigeria is more secure that America. Shawarmagirl: |
These man though in opposition offers wise counsel as opposed to the three musketeers of a party that have become silence on the lambs. fergie001: |
Really, Nigerian government should not respond to the Trump designation of Nigeria as a country of concern. That is one white man’s opinion. Biased and opportunistic opinion. Trump is looking to getting something in Nigeria and just wants to use this as bargaining tool. HonNL: |

Individuals are not exempt from WHT on interest earned only. Go and read the FIRS release again. RayRay06677: |
The man from the land of the rising wailers, it is you that needs to go for orientation because your mind, soul and body have been corrupted first by the self-centered and delusional Ojukwu and then by Mazi Kanu, the one that can't think straight and also delusional. DIVINEEVIDENCE: |
WHT is withholding tax and applies only to the interest earned. heavenisreal18: |

Here comes the wailer-in-Chief, bearer of bad news. The man has been silent over the good news on the economy and revenue generation but now awake to the no-news and twist it around as a bad commentary. DiamondsAreFore: |
The VAT money is shared to the States of the Federation. Hence, hold your state government accountable for how the money is and will be spent. You now have the information needed to hold your state governor accountable. Sensitivity: |
Since when did Soworereporters becomes a credible news source? It's a junk news compiled from roadside roving writers (not worthy of been called journalist) Ofunaofu: |
Go and read it again, he is talking of Okorie - the man from the land of rising wailers. Arostar2023: |
All these sponsored mushroom organizations/centers are just playing to the gallery. The Presidential pardon of convicted criminals is routine in the USA performed by all the Presidents on a regular basis. Does that damage investors' confidence in the USA? Be educated enough to understand and educate yourself accordingly instead of joining the band wagon. adenigga: |
Don’t mind them, they are a bunch of jokers, it’s their inferiority complex that is fueling their victim mentality and using it to justify their non-achievement Amotolongbo: |

These remnants of the lost cause in their country will be used as guinea pigs in a foreign land fighting a war that is neither theirs nor their ancestor
Shehu Sani's post shares a photo of six Nigerian men in Russian military gear, likely in Ukraine, credited to "Mr Obiorah," spotlighting how economic desperation drives Nigerians to join foreign armies for better pay and opportunities. https://x.com/ShehuSani/status/1978541529821024686?t=ItwIXcQYCsaFXiJae9Xf9A&s=19
|
Isn't that saying a lot about lack of integrity within the politicians, if they can easily be bribed. All the politicians, with the exemption of very few are dishonorable and can sell their mother for a cup of tea, whether they belong to PDP, APC, LP, ADC (Association of Disgruntled Coalition) are one and the same. I believe this Amnesty or whatever they call themselves is very partial and have lost touch with the tenets of the founding fathers. The clemency program is not peculiar to Nigeria. American Presidents perform this same clemency program every year and it is at the prerogative of the President. You will become relevant (I once was a fee/due paying member for many years) again once you remove the partiality cover. The organization has become a shadow of itself in Nigera and current leadership not trusted nor have credibility. Antoeni: |
If that's your reason or excuse and as lame as it is, does he have anything to do with FESTAC? givedemwotowoto: |
I think you are dreaming of this man all the time, even when you cannot perform in the other room, you still blame the President. givedemwotowoto: |
Mr. Oyebolu, as a forensic expert you called yourself, you now need to proof that you are not a roadside forensic expert by answering this simple question. Is there any law (both in Nigeria and the USA) that forbade person's wife and children from owning property anywhere (both in Nigeria, in the USA and anywhere else for that matter)? Now if there is no law, then what is there for EFCC, ICPC and armchair critics and experts investigating other than playing to the gallery. ogugwa1992: |
Oga Professor Obi, when your state government did massive demolition in your area, you didn't teach or speak about law, justice and compassion. Now that it happens in Lagos, you now remember to put your third-class degree to work. All we know is that a new Nigeria is imPOssible with PO
https://x.com/PeterObi/status/1975435514451792164?t=HWJavRbNKwnW0IM_TNoXaQ&s=19
|

HOW SOON SOME PEOPLE FORGET THEIR OPPRESSORS AND TASK MASTERS. WHAT DID PDP DO FOR 16-years. quote author=anonimi post=137022079] If key elements of the coalition are PDP leaders who gave us 16 years of deregulation and privatisation prosperity, then why ask for what they have to offer again? If you don’t have personal hatred for our collective wellbeing then why would you want us to continue enduring APC extreme poverty shege that was fraudulently sold as change a decade ago ![]() The Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy Chief Olawale Edun has said the last time Nigeria’s economy looked stable was about a decade ago. He made this statement during his maiden press conference as Minister of Finance where he outlined President Bola Tinubu’s vision, agenda and strategy for the economy. He said, “I think as we all know, we are not where we should be. The economy is barely growing above the rate of population growth. “But it was not always so, and I think in trying to look at the way forward, if we now have a situation of slow growth, double-digit inflation, weak/depreciating exchange rate, as well as security concerns that are resulting in an economy that is not growing and not taking Nigerians out of poverty. “If we think back to the last time when the economy was stable- when it was growing, when inflation was low, and the interest rate was affordable, that period was about a decade ago. Growth was about 6% in 2013 and 2014.” Private sector to drive the economy https://nairametrics.com/2023/09/01/the-last-time-nigerias-economy-was-stable-was-about-a-decade-ago-wale-edun/
|
